The castle is in its original colour (found authentic layers of colour) from era of Maria Theresia. White colour is nobl color so many palaces and churches were white.
I took that same boat but from Bratislava on a day trip to Vienna. I traveled central Europe for five weeks on buses and trains, so the boat was really special.
Yeah the castle was completely renovated so that's why it looks new but is really old. There is a much older castle in the Bratislava from 9th century called Devin
Devin castle was awesome! You can see it from the jet boat ride between Bratislava and Vienna. I walked from Devon Castle to the UFO bridge through the hills. Does anyone know what that art statue of a rocket going through a pastry is up in the hills?
you probably mean the really tall Kamzik TV tower it kinda looks like a rocketship :D check it on google, there a restaurant inside and BEAUTIFUL view of Bratislava and near lowlands@@chrispaulus4491

It is not polite to steal history and lie to Tourists Trdelnik Magyar or Prague.
Did you not like Bratislava Castle? tell that to Napoleon, he had the castle blown up, only ruins remained. Reconstruction according to the original. A better solution in the middle of the city of ruins?
Hey, nice video, I am from Bratislava, you had the best ice cream in west Slovakia and salty caramel is top. You visited only touristic area, too expensive but yes, few hours only.
Bratislava castle was rebuilt in 1953. The communists thought it might bring some tourists. They weren’t wrong this time. The UFO bridge was built shortly after sputnik. That explains that. Sadly, they took down a lot of the city walls when they built that highway. Devin castle was much more interesting.
Do you know if any travel agents in Bratislava offer the American Entitled Princess Package? That might be a more "user friendly" option for certain individuals.
@@nateandkatrinadotheworld Actually I was thinking that Katrina would enjoy that package since she seemed to be pretty much unimpressed with all things Slovak. It was kind of like listening to a homeless person talk about how they don't care for caviar ("Nah...I don't do caviar...doesn't resonate with me..."). Perhaps a taste bud detox is necessary before Americans come over to Europe because McDonald's is obviously holding your "good taste" hostage. 😂🤣😂
Awww, thank you for the additional comment Ayako Saito! Two comments on one video is very flattering for us. We appreciate you spending so much of your precious time worrying about us and spreading good vibes! That is soooo sweet. Have the best day. Kisses!
I know… we messed that up!!! Thank you for watching!

@@nateandkatrinadotheworld hopefully you visit Slovakia again :) ... there is much more than Bratislava ... if you love hiking, castles, caves, nature, folk and many others :) I was surprise you sort of liked our dumplings with "bryndza" but I love it with "tvaroh" its sort of cottage cheese or with sauerkraut... anyway have a nice day!
@ you are not wrong! I spent five weeks there in April and May hiking across your beautiful country. I hiked 3 national parks, visited the four largest cities and dozens of small ones. I visited the churches of Levoča, The walled in cathedral at Spišske Podhradie along with the city and castle on the hill, the city of Kosice, it’s zoo and a lot of their hockey fanatics 😊, Stará Łubovńa castle and the wonderful town underneath it. I even made it to the Upper Carpathians or High Tatras 🥶. And I would do it again!
Great vid! Prague and Krakow are on my list of places to visit-my ancestry. May have to add Bratislava. One thing the Eastern European countries do well is sausage.

Im extremely appalled that you didnt warn us about the "elephant" icecream. Why didnt you blur it?! Seriously, in one of your videos before you just had to share with us that she loves eating fishsticks and now this? Keep this filth up and me, a devout christian at the tender age of 32 living in the netherlands, will be forced to stop watching any of your videos ever again. If i dont like what i hear and see in the next 500 videos, ill be forced to unsubscribe! God is watching!!!!
We had an AWESOME time just scratching the surface of Bratislava! We messed up and said it was in Eastern Europe…. Our bad! CENTRAL Europe!

We love the different modes of transportation that are more accessible in Europe than they are in the states. The boat was a lot of fun!

Very wise to wait for the chimney cake in Budapest! The chimney cake at the place you walked by didn’t even compare.
We had to wait to get the chimney cakes in the country that they originated in! We might have had a few too many, though...
