Chris, thanks again for the effortlessly in detail description of your changes to YOUR Vette! Never ever worry about what others might think or say. It is YOUR Corvette and it looks and runs great!
Hey Chris, for all the arm chair quarterbacks you have to tolerate, let me tell them from the rest of us to feel free to start their own channel. Your vids are always tastefully done and respectful of others. Everyone should return the favor. Case closed!
Great job. Even as a C6 owner I enjoy your channel. Also agree with you to keep tires until they are worn, why waste money.. plenty of other things to spend it on.
OMG! been looking for something like this for my C5 they look FENOMENAL! I have a stock rear fender, do you think they will fit without damaging something?? I'm about to buy them 👏👏👏
Very direct and informative video on the F14’s. Great contact. And I’m also going to be installing this same wheels on my c6z06. Keep up the great work! 🏎🔥
I have a simalar set up on my 2006 Vette My issue is the Rear tires hit the fender. I thought shocks but Installed new shocks and still same issue. Also what did you do for the rear Wheel wells To extend it to the new Fenders?.
Man, that's crazy you got your wheels in 3 weeks! I ordered the new "ultra" deep concavity over 7 weeks ago. They gave me a 4-6 week lead time and are still dragging their feet...
I'm sure with it being a new product they are backed up. They are also probably running limited staff with COVID. Lead times for all manufacturing are up right now and have been for 10 months now.
Hey man thanks for vid, question why did you go with concave for the front? Was it just a style choice or did a functionality/fitment component play a part in your decision? Asking as I am wanting the Deep concave for the front and wondering if the wheels specs you have would need to be adjusted to get the same look as yours in terms of fitment and poke.
@@mycorvettelife exactly the answer I'm looking for thanks. and from my understanding of the video the purpose of that offset is to clear a big brake kit
Nice Q and A upload Chris. FWIW, one reason I subscribed very early on was because you had email address for private correspondence. Also, you had too many apologies in this upload. They are not necessary. Lastly, congrats on your closing in on the 10k subscriber mark. Save the Wave.🙋♂️ P.S. I like the fact that you number your Episodes in that many times I'll make notes on a specific upload and it makes it easy to find same and go back and replay it just for my own enjoyment and/or to refresh my memory on how you did something.
Hey I’m a senior in high school and I’ve always wanted a vette would you recommend because I’m saving up for one it’s either that or a challenge r or a 350z
Chief Mason if I had to guess, the biggest reason he is saying to wait till after college is cause they turn into money pits real fast with all of the upgrades you’ll want. It starts with little things and then adds up quickly. Another reason is insurance is through the roof. For me, I was able to budget both college and my first C5 when I was 19 (I’m 21 now). The thing you have to know about yourself is how much self control you have. If you’re gonna put more time into the car than college, then don’t get it, but if you can get it and restrain yourself from it to focus on school, then get it. As for what car, I have been in 350z’s and corvettes. The corvettes are hands down a LOT better. Turn better, have more power, definitely quicker, and sound/look better. As far as a challenger goes, they look good but they are super heavy so the power they have is really not as impressive.
Matthew Adkins yeah my Mom does auto insurance, and I have pretty good self discipline. But idk I want a car I can daily and one if I wanted I could take to the track
Chief Mason stock C5’s will get you the gas mileage for dailying compared to a 350z. My stock C5 would get like 28ish highway miles and an average of like 23-25mpg. My friends 350z that was also stock got high teens average mpg. Maybe 18-19. Challengers are horrible with mpg as well cause of the weight and would also be horrible at a track unless you’re talking 1/4. The other two would be great at any track. Stock C5’s are rated at 13.0s 1/4 and my friends 350z went I think 14.1 at the 1/4. I know little about the challengers times
Love your car Cris, I have a base model C6 with 2inch wide body fenders like the z06. What size tires do I need front and rear to not have a extra poke like your. I want just a flush look level with the fenders
..can you get an offset for the rear Forgestar wheels with your current tire size that will have the tires flush with the edge of the new wider fenders.. and still clear a c6 z06 brake setup? ....your car looks great by the way...tastefully done.
Chris thank you so much for doing this video helped solve some issues and gave me a lot of good info been planning on doing the same thing with my brakes on my c5 z06 , do you have any problem with your fenders rubbing the back tire ?

I was super disappointed with my f14s. 11 week wait and absolute trash powder coating and the cherry on top is they hang up on me and stopped responding to my emails. Stay tuned for my video about it.
Hi I got a question on the c5 climate control system my dam light display is going very dim is it hard to pull that thing out to replace with another one.thanks
Damn bro, I've been debating which wheels I have the Curva wheels that looks exactly like these but I guess I'll get these with the bronze Color FTW!! 😎💯
Great wheels Chris, but stil look out, when jou drive in wet weather, yesterday i drove by wet weather on the highway 60mph, i accelerate a little more speed, and the rear end starts to swing, Lucky it was not that busy on the highway, but hell, greets from The Netherlands Europe.

Congrats on 10k subs! I hadn't seen the new wheels yet but they look great. I had a question. Do you recall how long it took you to grow from 2,500 subs to 10k? I'm doing a similar channel to you although for older mustangs instead of Corvettes and I'm trying to gauge other channels that I feel are a bit similar versus comparing the mega sized channels. Keep up the good work Chris!
Chris, great videos. You stated that you kept the same tires that came with car. But you increased the rear wheel width by 2”. Because you purchased new wheels to match your old tires, I would assume that you don’t plan on increasing your rear tire width. So, why wouldn’t you want to increase your rear tire width bu two inches? Thanks
I love the aggressive look with the wheels sticking out. I bought my own C6 Z06 wheels to go on my C5 just cause of yours. Now, did you also get these new wheels because of weighing less, or was it purely cosmetic and setting up for brake upgrades?
I love c5s. Wheels are beautiful. Offset outside of wheelwell looks wrong for car. Welds look decent with fat tires outside wheelwell. Nice car . Thanks
I think your rear wheels are about an inch too wide to match your wider fenders, they're sticking out a little. But other than that they really look great
I think some white tire letters would pop with the black wheels and white body. Would be a nice way to break up just straight black on black. Regardless it’s a clean setup

Just ordered a set of these 18x10 deep fronts and 19x12 super deep rears and I paid well over 1700 more like 2300. You got a good deal!
Could i ask your advice on the best headers and exaughst for the best sound, also were did you get your fender flares?

Buying the exact same wheels for my torch red 98 pretty excited about the rims. Not to excited about dropping 2 grand on the wheels
Chris I think the splash guards, when they are installed, will really accent the body wheel combination even more.
Looks awsome,i wish I could bring my car to you for headers,do you do jobs on the side?
what tire size are you running at the rear? never mind I saw it on your desc.
Did you buy your wheels direct from Forgestar , or did you go through a local vendor. if so who was local? Thanks .
Thanks great info

The wheel offset won’t allow for a deep concave front wheel.

Niceee set up bro.. hey where can you get a those wide fenders for the rear?.
Corvette Creationz

i.need that trim that covers the door trim. just in front of the seat belt. what is it called ? and where can i get one.(drivers side)
My Quickjack was delivered yesterday. I went with the 7000 LBS, because I have Ram 1500 as well as my 2017 GS
Does the Vette fit under it? I thought the 7k was too long to lift a Vette.
My Corvette Life the 5000 and 7000 are the exact same length, the 7000 is 1.5” wider and .25” taller with the 2” rubber block.
Any rubbing? im looking at getting 19x9.5 for the fronts but would prefer not to rub on stock suspension
I don’t rub, but I have 18x9.5 front

Vette looks cool with those wheels. We’re did u get the rocker panels and how much were they. Thx man. Corvette Rules.

Cosmetic and function. My last video actually shows the weight.
