I have a 2000 c5 and I went with 285/40/18 front and 285/35/19 back they are all Michelin run flats and wow what a differents it made , I like how it handles now! the run flats are a bit ruff but still the handling is great 😁
Well I had a good deal on 4 X 19 in wheels so that why I put 19 away around , I moved up to 285 on the front they just fit and going to 325 on the back when I get wheels that just the tire looking for Zo6 C6 Wheels for the back

I had an electronic blue C5.I put 18-19s like these only chrome.made it look slot better too.I put the Z06 rear brake ducts ,small wicker spoiler out back & silver grand sport stripes.I had cold air intake ,a larger polished throttle body ,cores extreme w/X pipe & tune.great throttle response from that throttle body & still maintained 20 mpg city& 24 hwy.an automatic that would break tires loose at 45 mph & under.
A couple of Corvette owners that I communicate with on Facebook tell me that you need to use a 1 inch spacer when mounting c6 wheels on the rear of a c5. I own 2001 that I bought already having 2005-07 c6 wheels with 285/35ZR19 and 245/40ZR18 tires on it. They seem to work perfectly on my car. I do not understand what these other two guys are talking about?
@@alancall5113 they are out far enough for me but maybe not for you. They are inside the wheel wells about 1/2 inch. I tried spaced but didn't like them. No normal person notices (maybe just a C5 fanatic would).
Did you keep the rear wheel spacers from your previous video? What size were they again? I’ve just put 3/4 inch on the rears with c6 wheels and new tires and was curious about what you decided.
In order to get rid of some of the space between my rear tires and rear fender, would be better to just go bigger wheels and tires or just have the rear lowered?
Would you say get a mustang gt 2017 for 30/33k with 20k or so miles. Or get a c6 2007 with 25k miles for 26k/28k? I wanted to know your thoughts since you own a vet. I don't know which one to get lol plus I love your vids man keep up the great work!!!

You did not mention if the larger wheels will affect your speedometer. Is there a way to tell the computer there are bigger wheels so the speedo is accurate?
If they are true original c6 wheels just get oem tire sizes for that year and you'll be fine. Its overall tire diameter you need to worry about, not wheel size. Find a tire calculator online to compare c5 and c6 tire sizes. I got C6 oem wheels on my C5 and everything is great.

Yeah, it does change because you’re changing the size of the tire. The tire will turn less RPM the bigger it is. This will increase top speed and decrease acceleration
It only depends on the full diameter of the wheel + tire combo. If you have bigger wheels but a shorter tire, it can even out. However if you have bigger wheel and the same height tire, you're going to change the ratio
Like Julio says ,its the ht of the tire & wheel together.if the wheel is taller but the tire lower profile it won't change final drive.but get new tire censors!!

I just put my old 08 z06 tires and wheels on my sons 04 c5 they stick out a little bit but the stance looks awesome.

Does Drive Hub ever tell the size wheel spacer need to run rear C6 wheels flush on the c5?
The best investment I made on my 98 C5 was Michelin Pilot sport non runflat summer only tires.
So, you lowered the car to its max and added an inch to the wheels? Not a good formula.

What daytime running lights are you using? Is that an aftermarket housing? Led?

Also, I feel more comfortable with wheel adapters vs spacers as spacers put more stress on the lugs....I've been told, but makes sense to me.

Lower it,if you were to go to 21" remember you're eventually going to change the final drive ratio.

I'd did this & it worked out well.I used a 3/8" spacer in the back w 285 19". It brought the tire out even w/ the body.
