He would have made money doin it for them. He would have been running the material through one of his wash plants, then sold the clean washed rock back to them, while gettin the gold out all at the same time. He knows what he is doin.
I love how films always depict the Yukon gold rush as American... Yukon is in CANADA, a different country. Amy Americans mining up here were foreigners...
Problem with dredges is moving them. When the ground stops paying, what do you do with the dredge? Move it? Ask Tony Beets about that. He probably spent over a million dollars moving the first dredge he bought.
Derek Bois Lets go D-Rock!! You wanna act like a tough guy, lets see whatcha got!! Theres gonna be two hits....me hittin you and you hittin the ground big boy!!!
Considering how much gold the company who ran this dredge made....surely they should have tidied up after themselves... donated it too Canada sounds a lit like dumped it to me...
wait a minute...did i hear it right...992000 Ounces of gold worth over a million dollars..that can't be right...more like closer to around a billion or just short of a billion even at the ounce price for those times...help me out am i right or wrong
The video was referencing 992050 grams (not ounces). About 28 grams in an ounce. You also have to take into account inflation ($1million dollars back then in today’s money is $$$)
Shouod I quit my job and go buy a dredge? Does everyone have the overwhelming urge to go gold mining or is it just me? I've never been and dont live anywhere near where gold can be found, but its always been calling me.
I would like to have seen the rest of this documentary please.
A great and accurate account of this wonderful historic landmark - a must see for anyone in the Dawson City area.
Tony Beets would have done it twice as fast for 1/10 the cost.
But 10 times the swearing!
get over the swearing, it aint that bad.
He would have made money doin it for them. He would have been running the material through one of his wash plants, then sold the clean washed rock back to them, while gettin the gold out all at the same time. He knows what he is doin.
Peter Larkin he would have been making it happening.
MrCloudseeker I never said he was nice, or not a dick. He knows how to get gold and doesn't care if he screws people over in the process.
that's $56,925,382 worth of gold as of today. 2,200 grams of gold a day is insane.
I've seen 2500 ounces of gold a day in an Alaskan mine I worked at in the 90"s. Trapper scotty, Alaskan
I toured it about 12 years ago if I’m remembering correctly. Quite a setup. Lots of iron.
Yeah, epic piece of engineering and my friend just moved one and got it running pretty incredible.
+Andrew Crews ,,, Tony Beets has no friends
yelsserp04 u r so full of crap
pretty simple piece of engineering
Andrew Crews i dont believe so.
@@Harry-wt1pi no but he has a lot of gold though.
I love how films always depict the Yukon gold rush as American... Yukon is in CANADA, a different country. Amy Americans mining up here were foreigners...
Follow the stream it was working when it was first built and trommel all the old tailings the gold left behind is more valuable now
donated the dredge to the Canadain park service... you mean dumped it after they'd finsihed with it.
Like your dad did your mother?
@@Honorablebenaiaha I know Iran is behind the times, but a 3 year old comment? ouch :P
Wonder if they found mammoths and stuff like that guy on the boneyard

He has a ton of ground there. No problem.
I think he still has to put Nr 2 together!
These dredges were invented in New Zealand
Hey where is the rest of this documentary ? :(
doobyboy21 no
Derek Bois Lets go D-Rock!! You wanna act like a tough guy, lets see whatcha got!! Theres gonna be two hits....me hittin you and you hittin the ground big boy!!!
Theres like 4 of them in Nome Alaska.
This reminded me about BIMA I used to work there 89-91

I have been one a working dredge in the 1950's.
00:58 Damnn. Thats around 35,000 oz. of gold...about $40 million worth of gold in todays market.
35.000oz, maybe Parkers goal for season 11 or 12
I was an oiler on one of these draglines.
John Gould Oilin up the ol’ gasket ehhh. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
I like to oil myself up.
The total dollar amount was a million dollars. I wonder what that equation is in today’s money.
Very cool thanks for the video
Should of sluiced what they removed.
what is the % of loss with these
This is how companies do it, slowly, painfully, with 200 men....
Tony Beets does things as they should be done!
Put it back to work

Lebron GOAT no it’s not. This Dredge is now a museum and not in use.

Considering how much gold the company who ran this dredge made....surely they should have tidied up after themselves... donated it too Canada sounds a lit like dumped it to me...

Sick
I heard Tony Beets likes to smoke boom after a long day of yelling at people...
I heard he like to work the rimm of the pit.
Let's make it happening.
I was there...
Tony beets could have had that moved in 5days
Seems like overkill.
Shouod I quit my job and go buy a dredge? Does everyone have the overwhelming urge to go gold mining or is it just me? I've never been and dont live anywhere near where gold can be found, but its always been calling me.
