- This video provides basic guidelines for driving a vehicle equipped with the Bendix® ESP® Electronic Stability Program by Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC. It demonstrates how the Bendix ESP system works, the potential loss-of-control driving situations it can help mitigate, what to expect when using the technology, and what the system can and cannot address. The Bendix ESP system is the first widely available full-stability solution for the commercial vehicle market. Full-stability technology -- also referred to as electronic stability program or electronic stability control -- is more comprehensive than roll-only stability. Unlike roll-only systems, full-stability systems -- such as the Bendix ESP system -- address both roll and directional stability. While roll-only options function optimally on dry surfaces, full-stability systems are effective in a wider range of driving and road conditions, including snowy, ice-covered, and slippery surfaces. Bendix, the North American leader in active vehicle safety and braking technologies, designs and delivers this critical solution today. Ultimate responsibility for the safe operation of the vehicle remains with the driver at all times. The Bendix ESP system DOES NOT replace the need for skilled, alert drivers exercising safe driving practices, nor the need for ongoing, comprehensive driver training. Performance of the Bendix ESP system may be limited by poor braking system maintenance practices and improper tire maintenance. Information here is subject to change without notice.
