Kate Bush is such a legendary artist ❤️ Incredible. Discovered by Dave Gilmore of Pink Floyd when she was a teenager, had her first No.1 at 19 with the fantastic Wuthering Heights and has influenced so many especially female singer songwriters. She is one of the all time greats and fantastically revered and so loved at home in Britain. We adore her 🧡🎶
Kate is a work of art. Back in the 70s, 80s and 90s she was a musical rule breaker and risk taker. She used he voice as an instrument and kept control of her music at a time when artists and women in particular were expected to be very much under the thumb of the record companies. She was well known for dance and mime and wild artistic videos. She kept herself out of the public eye to raise a family and as a consequence she became an enigma! She is much loved in the UK and has a huge back catalogue that is well worth a listen. Sensual World, Wuthering Heights, Cloudbusting and Babooshka are worth a peek. Ren reminds me of her a lot. Not the sound of course but the attitude, the integrity and the references to literature!
I am so glad someone mentioned This Woman's Work and Cloudbursting. I think I read somewhere that it is Donald Sutherland pulling the cart in the second one. As every one else has said she's from the UK. Here in the States, a quirky little show on the USA Network introduced us to Kate on Night Flight. (I really miss that show!) When I met my husband, we were the only two who had ever heard of her. We had a wildly different take on the meaning of the song. But children don't need to hear what it was, LOL. My husband, with whom I was with for almost 35 years, still played this song (and the others) on vinyl. When he wasn't listening to Pink Floyd. Thank you for the memories. Now they are good ones. It was only recently I forgave him for dying in a fall. We had agreed I would go first. He had to be stubborn and break his word. See, both our mamas died first after long marriages (I believe it was 33 years for both sets) and our fathers had a hard time adjusting. My husband knew I would be okay. Hearing Kate from your perspective made my day. Truly, thank you for the memories. I just wish Night Flight would come back.
Wuthering Heights is really the first one to do to introduce yourself to Kate Bush. Then Don't Give Up, then this one. It's like a Ren journey but with Kate.
I actually disagree with that even though as a Brit it was my first introduction to her. I was totally bewildered but also intrigued. People who haven't heard her think that is her normal singing voice and have no idea of the concept of the song or the novel. I think for first introduction they are better off with this or This woman's work or even her duet with Peter Gabriel and getting familiar with her talent first.
@@Muckylittleme Heya Mucky. I'm Brit too :) You are welcome to disagree. What a dull world it would be if we all were the same. I was never a Kate fan back in the day to be honest. She was a bit too weird for my tastes at the time. But in later years I've come to appreciate her talents more, and have embraced her weirdness, which is probably why I like Wuthering Heights best.
In 1978, Fleetwood Mac were the biggest act in the world, thanks to the runaway success of their 11th album, Rumours. The band approached Kate Bush and asked her to support them on their massive US tour in support of the album, but Kate declined, preferring to concentrate on developing her own shows. In a 2011 interview, Stevie Nicks picked "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" as one of her own favourite songs, saying, “That song I really loved because, what a great writer she is, and Running Up That Hill was one of those songs that, when I first heard it, I went, ‘Oh I wanna record that song someday.’”
SHE WRITES EVERYTHING, PRODUCES ALL HER MUSIC AND VIDEOS.. WHAT A SONGWRITER . THIS TOPPED THE CHARTS AGAIN A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN IT WAS USED IN STRANGER THINGS..ONE OF ENGLANDS FINEST TREASURES....
Madonna run so that others female entertainer after her could walk, but Kate Bush fly so that Madonna could run. That was how important Kate was to music industry.
She was a child prodigy. She wrote the song, “Man with a Child in his Eyes” when she was 12. Prince produced one of albums, she did a duet with Peter Gabriel, and she wrote and sang “This Woman’s Work” that Maxwell re-recorded.
Prince did *not* produce one of her albums. He plays guitar and provides BVs on *one* song on her album The Red Shoes, the song being Why Should I Love You. Prince may have been a genius, but Kate is, even more so.
I fell in love with "modern dance." To me, the dancing is showing 2 people intertwined, but yet struggling with each other.. Together.. apart.. trying to understand each other.. one of my favorite songs. The struggle of loving someone, but not always understanding how each other feels.
She is my favorite artist. She wrote the song and had complete control of every aspect you hear, down to the rhythm of the drums, its ALL her. She also does all her backing vocals. A masterpiece of a song about the congruency needed within a relationship. Just pure magic, like all her work. The dance here depicts the struggle between two people to achieve harmony.. sometimes one feels crucified as you can see in the video. It ends with her as Diana the Greek goddess of the hunt.. Again pure genius.
Kate Bush is an English singer, songwriter, record producer and dancer. She began writing songs at age 11. David Gilmour helped produce a demo tape. In 1978, at the age of 19, she topped the UK Singles Chart for four weeks with her debut single "Wuthering Heights", becoming the first female artist to achieve a UK number one with a solely self-written song.
Do more Kate Bush, she is the ultimate artist. Songwriter, composer, Producer, concept artist. She was the first female artist in England to have complete control over her musical work at the end of the 1970s.
Back in 1986, Kate Bush explained that this song, dance and video represents the struggle between men and women for equal consideration and treatment in the work place in the 80's.
@@S0CD0Cthe beauty of all music is that each interprets what it means to the listener. Even if the musician writes and sang it for a different meaning…. None of it is wrong
@@marcianisenbaum7590You hit the nail on the head with your comment. Each of us will interpret and find meanings in the music and its words that come from our own experiences. It triggers thoughts and feelings we’re holding within in our own hearts.
She has a video with Donald Sutherland called Cloudbusting. The Peter Gabriel song, Don't Give Up, with her is great. The album Running Up That Hill is on was the first album she recorded in her personal studio. Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush were early adaptors of the Fairlight CMI(Computer Musical Instrument).
You get her or you don't. My favorite artist since she came out with her first hit in the late 1970s (she was in her late teens). She's deep, unsettling, and all-around brilliant. Has influenced so many artists. Her story is amazing and worth learning. It's hard for me to convey how I feel about her, she's been my musical touchstone through many many years now
I absolutely love Kate Bush … outstanding tracks are Army Dreamers Love and Anger Cloudbusting Experiment 4 Babooshka The man with the child in his eyes Breathing This woman’s work
Love Kate and yes she did write this song, some other great songs of hers worth a check are "This Woman's Work", "Wuthering Heights", "Babooshka" and "Hounds of Love".✌🏻❤
I get that the dancing can be a distraction, but it's all part and parcel of the fantastic artist that is Kate Bush. I've been a fan since I heard Wuthering Heights whilst I was still at school. She's so talented and unique, I don't think America ever really "got" her
I'm not overly fond of interpretive dance either, but I do appreciate the skill and discipline it takes. Kate was taught by Lindsay Kemp, a former teacher of David Bowie, and also Adam Darius a mime training, who Kate wrote and dedicated "Moving" to.❤
Kate Bush's debut single from 1978, "Wuthering Heights", is definitely a classic that you should hear at some point. This song highlights both her emotive delivery and her ability to effortlessly transition between high and low notes. Kate recorded her vocal in a single take, and she was only 19 years old at the time! With this single, Kate became the first female to top the UK charts with a self-composed song. Kate wrote the song at age 18, in a few hours late at night in March 1977. She was inspired after seeing an old British television adaptation of the 1847 novel Wuthering Heights. She subsequently read the book and discovered that she shared her birthday with author Emily Brontë. Two music videos, with similar choreography created by Kate, were made to accompany "Wuthering Heights." In my opinion, the first version, known as the indoor version, is the best. Bush is shown performing the song in a dark room filled with white mist while wearing a white dress. Critics have described this video as a milestone in the history of music videos before the MTV era.
For Kate, dancing was part of her performance. She trained in mime and ballet early in her career and produced her spectacular Tour of Life which involved these different aspect of her performance style. However, it was so exhausting that she never toured again until recently. This video with its unique choreography was essentially a "farewell to dance" as she was turning more towards filmmaking as a means of self-expression.
Kate Bush is a compete artist, she wrote the song, played the instruments. When she was discovered by David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) who got her a record deal with EMI on the strength of her demo (produced by him), she didn't actually release anything for 2 years and spent part of that time learning to professionally dance, her first single at 19 was Wuthering Heights made her the first female artist to achieve a UK number one with a solely self-written song. With her music every song is different. Running Up that Hill includes the use of the Fairlight CMI sampler (1st commercial digital sampler).
she is an absolute unique artist and her songs sounded so different compared to the other music of the late 70's and into early 90's before stopping for 12 years then another half dozen years until her next album . An absolute genius and performing again after a long hiatus, she last toured properly in 1979 and i think most teenage lads in the mid 80's had a crush on her in the UK, I know me and my mates did 😍😍
Also great singles by Kate Bush - Experiment IV, Breathing, Cloudbusting, Army Dreamers, Big Sky, King of the Mountain, Babooska and loads more... nearly forgot about The Dreaming!!
Love the Dreaming, also There Goes a Tenner and Kashka from Baghdad, also she did backing vocals for Peter Gabriel’s’Games Without Frontiers’, also ‘The Man I Loved’, which she sang with Larry Adler is absolutely beautiful 👍👍👍 8:27
Gary Hurst was Kate Bush's lead dancer and sang on Babooska...my cousin went to school with him in South Belfast Northern Ireland and Kate was badly affected by Gary's premature death she took time away from music. Kate is an icon, legend and a British gem to us all ❤️
She used a Fairlight CMI synthesizer and a LinnDrum drum machine. Fun fact, Peter Gabriel was the first renowned musician to use the Fairlight. You need to listen to his duet with Kate Bush. Beautiful uplifting song.
Kate Bush - The most hauntingly beautiful voice, ever! Wrote her first song at 15, The Man with the child in his eyes ❤ The dance style is "Cunningham" modern. Kate is a LEGEND! ❤
She’s a phenomenon. She is a HUGE part of my life musically. I grew up listening to her - my poor father would be like ‘she’s running up that damn road again’ as I listened to it for the 300th time on my Walkman in the car lol. I wore out the album ‘The Whole Story’… a good place for you to start as it’s a cross section of some of her earlier stuff that wasn’t overly odd. Because some of it really is - the album ‘Ariel’ has some beautiful music on it, including a song where she sings about a washing machine, and another where she recites Pi. She became big again and wonderfully discovered all over again by entirely new generations thanks to this song you’re playing being used in Stranger Things. She’s British. She writes, sings, produces - the whole works. She is. Kate Bush.
I'm sure other people have commented this, but Big Boi from Outkast has often cited Kate Bush as one of his favorite artists. He even inducted her into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in 2023.
Kate was an amazing songwriter since 12 years old and was the first woman to have a number one hit in the UK with a self penned song. Before Kate, female chart success was almost completely through songs that women singers had written for them. She was also instrumental in developing the radio mic headset that is almost ubiquitous now in order for her to be able to sing AND dance on stage in the late 70s. Check out the song ‘Man with a child in his eyes’ written at age 13, recorded at 16 and winner of an Ivor Novello award.
1986, high school. My neighbor (RIP Kurt) would drive us to school in the giant boat of a car that his Dad had bought for him and his brothers. Kurt was a small guy in this giant car, cigarette in one hand, cup of coffee in the other, with this song on the cassette player. Fond memory of him and I’m reminded every time I hear this special song.
The dancing is Interpretive dancing. She's talking about he and she changing places in order to understand each other. Kate was a complete artist and dancer. Brilliant from a very young girl.
No Queen then prince. Prince is the male / female and no sure what last part of the symbol stands for .she was first of everything female. I'm laughing at the put it in HD, it was 1985. 😂😂😂 I still remember my dance final that was choreographed to Cloudbursting. She was a brilliant, unique entertainer. I am so glad Stranger Things brought her back into the limelight. ❤
Kate Bush....I grew up with her music. One of my all time favourite artists. Wuthering Heights, Army Dreamers, Babooshka, Cloudbusting, Dont Give Up (with Peter Gabriel) - an incredible inspirational song, The Man with the Child in his Eyes, Wow, and so much more
Kate is a creative musical genius. This is certainly one of her more straight-forward and accessible songs. For an absolute tour de force, mind-blowing experience, listen to the second half of her Hounds of Love album. It's a suite of songs titled The Ninth Wave (beginning with ...And Dream of Sheep). It's about a woman alone and lost at sea after a shipwreck. She struggles with her emotions, nightmares and hallucinations while also struggling just to survive. Put on your headphones, set up the lyrics, and immerse yourself. (And use a service that has gap-less playback, as the songs all merge together continuously.)
Kate Bush is an English dancer, songwriter and singed. She wrote most if not all of her songs. She sang with Peter Gabriel in the song Don't give up. Running up that hill resurged in popularity when it was featured in Stranger Things..😊
Kate Bush is an ICON, she writes her own songs, can play several instruments and her voice is so distinctive. Check out Wuthering Heights, Cloud Busting, The Man With The Child In His Eyes, Babooshka, Breathing, This Woman's Work, there are so so many more really good songs songs ...
she is so damn unique , she deserved more credit , never will be another kate bush , she sang her style and was incredible, and she is a pro dancer too , and her videos are all her made with feelings , shes amazing , i absolutley adore her ❤❤
I have adored Kate Bush since this song came out when I was 17 years old. She is an acquired taste, though. Some other songs of hers you might want to check out are: "Don't Give Up," which is a duet with Peter Gabriel; "Why Should I Love You?," which is a collaboration with Prince; and "You're The One," on which Jeff Beck plays guitar. Oh, "King of the Mountain," too. Kate wrote that song about Elvis Presley. There are so many other great songs of Kate's, but I thought the ones listed above might be the best place to start for someone new to Kate's music.
I've been a Kate Bush from the very beginning, and when in 2022, there was a massive revival of interest in her music (due to a television show), a completely new generation of people were suddenly introduced to her music. So, I decided to help new reactors by putting together a quick introduction to her. In the end, I was writing similar comments to so many that I stored the details in a note that I could "cut and paste," so what follows is that quick introduction, which I hope that you find interesting. ========= A quick background summary of Kate Bush. Kate started writing songs at about 11 years old, adding more complex lyrics from 13 onwards. By her late teens, she had written about two hundred, and the family made demo recordings of about fifty of them in an attempt to attract the attention of record companies without any success. Until a friend of family passed the demos to David Gilmour (guitarist for Pink Floyd), he was interested and ultimately paid for time at a studio with session musicians to make professional master recordings of three songs from Kate extensive catalogue which he selected. It was those professional recordings that he passed onto EMI executives when he was asked about new talents - when EMI listened they wanted to sign Kate up immediately, but they had to wait until she had left school, Kate signed for EMI when she was 16 years old. EMI paid Kate a retainer, which she used to improve her piano playing, voice lessons and also dance & mime lessons from Lindsay Kemp (who had also taught David Bowie to dance) Kate also fronted a pub band that one of her brothers had put together. Eventually EMI called Kate back to work on her debut album "The Kick Inside" although two songs were taken from the earlier professional recordings that David Gilmour had paid for - notably one of them was written when she was just 13 years old and David Gilmour thinks that was the song that convinced EMI to sign Kate.. Kate's debut single "Wuthering Heights" was released in January 1978 and it was so different to everything else in the singles chart and became a massive worldwide hit, reaching number 1 in a number of countries around the world and charting highly in others. When it got to number 1 in the UK, Kate became the first female artist to have a self written song reach number one, this was the 1st of numerous records and milestones that Kate has set in the UK single and album charts. "Wuthering Heights" was Kate's biggest worldwide chart until 2022, when the use of "Running Up That Hill" (RUTH) as a key part of series 4 of "Stranger Times" caused the song to become the most streamed song in the world, for a period of time. RUTH reached number 1 in even more countries worldwide, including becoming Kate's second UK number 1 single 37 years after its original release, one of three UK single records that Kate set. It reached number 3 in the Billboard single chart. Although it did hit number 1 in some Billboard specialist US singles charts. When "The Kick Inside" was released later in 1978, it sold a million copies in the UK and reached number three in the UK album chart. Kate has had at least one single that has reached at least number 12 (or better) in the UK singles chart during the following decades, the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s Kate is multi-talented a singer/songwriter, musician, dancer, record producer, video producer, and director. Kate was also very heavily involved in the staging of both of her concert tours - 1979 "Tour Of Life" and the 2014 (22-date) concert residency "Before The Dawn", tickets for every performance sold out in under 15 minutes. Kate has inspired/influenced countless numbers of artists/musicians who followed her, she is considered to be a musical icon and a pioneer. Kate was credited as a co-producer on her third album, "Never For Ever," and was the sole producer on her fourth album, "The Dreaming," and every one of her subsequent studio albums. In 2023, Kate was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The song is more about swapping places with your partner so that you can understand their insecurities, what it's like to be the other person, and clear up misunderstandings. Paraphrasing what Kate said in interview.
Kate Bush is a legend. A true artist and one of the first artists given complete freedom by the studio to do whatever she wanted to. Also one of the first to really make use of synths using the fairlight synth.
Kate Bush was one the first people to get a go at the Fairlight CMI (1979) after Peter Gabriel who knew she would love it. Soon after in 1980 Babooshka by Kate Bush became the first hit single to feature samples from the Fairlight CMI. This song, you're listening to the CMI. Everything, even some of her voice. Dude, she's one of the sampling pioneers and most people don't know it, or her.
I believe it's classified as Interpretive Dance. Love it and this song. The flowing dance moves are in complete contrast to the drumming marching beat. So unique and imaginative and it sounds great. It really made you stop and listen when it came on the radio.
Yes, she wrote it, played it, sang it and produced it. I love her suites like the ninth wave, love them in fact. The chord sequence in this song has been used so many songs by so many artists in so many genres you wouldn't believe. A lot of American's don't know that Maxwell's hit song, This Woman's Work, was also written by Kate.
She's a genius. Have a listen to her earlier stuff from the 70s .....Babooshka, Wuthering Heights. I think you'll LOVE the video of her in Babooshka......she's absolutely mesmerisingly gorgeous! 😁❤️
‘Man with a child in his eyes’ - her voice is even more beautiful in this one and you’ll recognise another one of hers ‘This Woman’s work’ redone by Maxwell! … Then there’s Babooshka 🔥
It's again another one of those 80's songs that make you feel nostalgia for the 80's. I was born in 2003 and feel like I am growing up in the wrong generation because everything about the 80's feels like I was meant to experience it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE 80'S!!!!!!!!
I absolutely love Kate Bush, the the other female singer that made the soundtrack of my teens seems to have been forgotten. I found 2 reactions and they were both for the same song. I highly recommend you react to Luba, Every Time I See Your Picture. She has a beautiful and powerful voice and doesn't deserve to be forgotten.
Brilliant talent, loved her music, very different, quirky somewhat but alwsys had a meaning. Cant believe youve not heard of her till now. Wuthering Heights was her first greatest hit. Wild, whacky and wonderful.
Our national treasure. kate Bush was a prolific song writer in the 70s when there weren't many female singer songwriters in the limelight. She got her break thsnks to Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd gocing her studio time to record her works of art. There was never anyone like her before and be probably won't be again. This song gained a second exposure in recent years as it was used in Stranger Things I think. Her album The Kick Inside is a masterpiece
Yeah, this song made me buy her "Hounds of Love" album to get it. Still got that LP! Kate Bush also did a lot of work with Peter Gabriel, including an amazing solo and harmonies on "Don't Give Up" from his "So" album. This song was cutting-edge for its time, in the same way that Bjork's "Human Behavior" was a few years later.
She wrote it, sung it, sampled and programmed it, produced it, dreamed up the video, danced it, owns it - all. She's a musical genius...
And nearly all of her videos are brilliant as well! You will love "Experiment IV".

And plays various instruments, does the choreography for shows and videos , video artistic direction etc etc. So creative.

I fell in love with "modern dance." To me, the dancing is showing 2 people intertwined, but yet struggling with each other.. Together.. apart.. trying to understand each other.. one of my favorite songs. The struggle of loving someone, but not always understanding how each other feels.
Kate is such an outstanding singer, dancer,… she is human art! She takes you on a journey throughout the world of almost every emotion!
Could be wrong, but pretty sure she was first solo female to go straight in at #1.
@@csb7376 Straight to number 1 with the album. "Never for Ever".
Do more Kate Bush, she is the ultimate artist. Songwriter, composer, Producer, concept artist.
She was the first female artist in England to have complete control over her musical work at the end of the 1970s.
Back in 1986, Kate Bush explained that this song, dance and video represents the struggle between men and women for equal consideration and treatment in the work place in the 80's.
sadly, people will believe this nonsense instead of typing "running up that hill meaning" and reading for 2 minutes
"If I Could Make A Deal With God, To Swap Places" My favorite line. She's artsy and a bit of a genius.
"This Woman's Work" is haunting and beautiful.
wonderful song, i dont know why i put myself through the pain of it but can watch it over and over again
It's hard for me to convey how I feel about her, she's been my musical touchstone through many many years now
Wuthering Heights is an amazing high vocal performance, and Houndd of Love is one of my faves.
Kate Bush. Simply stunning. Beautful talented artist and song writer.. legend.
She is one of the top UK singers. So many great songs but my all time favourite is her duet with Peter Gabriel “Don’t Give Up”
Kate Bush is the epitome of New Age/New Wave/Alt-Rock of the 70's and 80's. Her music is awesome.
Kate bush is unique
I struggle to believe you have never heard of her.
Wuthering heights give that a try
Simply jaw dropping
I absolutely love Kate Bush … outstanding tracks are
Army Dreamers
Love and Anger
Cloudbusting
Experiment 4
Babooshka
The man with the child in his eyes
Breathing
This woman’s work
Oh man, how did I forget Man With a Child in his Eyes?? An amazing song, my song for my husband.
Army dreamers is brutal. Now with all the wars going on...
Next one has to be This woman’s work!
Great call, such a beautiful, haunting song.
Yes my favourite ❤❤❤
I don't know, that or Sensual World maybe?
Moments of Pleasure.
Love Kate and yes she did write this song, some other great songs of hers worth a check are "This Woman's Work", "Wuthering Heights", "Babooshka" and "Hounds of Love".✌🏻❤
Wuthering Heights is still one of my all time favorites.
@@montananana2869 100% It's such a timeless classic.
I get that the dancing can be a distraction, but it's all part and parcel of the fantastic artist that is Kate Bush. I've been a fan since I heard Wuthering Heights whilst I was still at school. She's so talented and unique, I don't think America ever really "got" her
@@jelly-baby I did. Love Kate.
The most unique, gifted, uncompromising, pioneering, thought-provoking artist of our time.
She wrote it when she was 17 - she was way ahead of her time with her music and performance.
Kate Bush is incredibly talented. A very different, unique artist and a massive hero to many female artists who are now icons.
she is an absolute unique artist and her songs sounded so different compared to the other music of the late 70's and into early 90's before stopping for 12 years then another half dozen years until her next album .
@@jasongibbins6484 Vocal arrangement and appeared on Big Country's "The Seer".
@@WarrenBridges-um5cg oh yeah, I forgot about that one, it’s on my Kate Bush playlist on Spotify
@@jasongibbins6484 I'm old school. I've got all of her albums and collaborations on vinyl. Still collecting vinyl now.
Wrote a lot at 12 or 13 and recorded them first at 15... released Wuthering Heights at 17.
She's incredible, unique and so talented ... It's a rare pearl
Kates catalog is phenomenal! Some think she’s weird but shes a true artist with a distinct vision.
She is the female version of Prince. A producer of true art. There will never be other quite like them. I'm happy you have discovered her 😊
No Queen then prince. Prince is the male / female and no sure what last part of the symbol stands for .she was first of everything female. The symbol ( the as wanted) was the first great at all instruments thus symbol the blank ppl can if disciple do it.the symbol is not derogatory as far as I’m concerned.queen : army dreamers.song .prince then showed black ppl u could .ur not dumb.symbol.makes symbol .of what u can do.im talking bout playing instalments .not the lyrics.
Such a High-Tech,Futuristic sound for 1986,& still timely
Kate Bush = Performance Art
I'm laughing at the put it in HD, it was 1985. 😂😂😂
I still remember my dance final that was choreographed to Cloudbursting. She was a brilliant, unique entertainer. I am so glad Stranger Things brought her back into the limelight. ❤
Word's can't describe how much I like Kate Bush's music. She is a, very, cerebral artist.
Kate Bush....I grew up with her music. One of my all time favourite artists. Wuthering Heights, Army Dreamers, Babooshka, Cloudbusting, Dont Give Up (with Peter Gabriel) - an incredible inspirational song, The Man with the Child in his Eyes, Wow, and so much more
U just named in order my favs. Souli. 🥰😇❤🇦🇺🫡👍
+ 1 for Babushka. Playful Kate Bush. Love the shattering glass sounds in the track
"The sensual world" is another one worth checking out. Absolutely love Kate Bush.
Kate Bush is a living legend an amazing poet , one of my favorite songs and there are many is Army Dreamers.
“This woman’s work “ is a stunning track 👌
Kate Bush is an English dancer, songwriter and singed. She wrote most if not all of her songs. She sang with Peter Gabriel in the song Don't give up. Running up that hill resurged in popularity when it was featured in Stranger Things..😊
She is so beautiful and such an amazing artist truly inspiring 🤍⚡️
=========
A quick background summary of Kate Bush.
Kate has had at least one single that has reached at least number 12 (or better) in the UK singles chart during the following decades, the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s
Kate is multi-talented a singer/songwriter, musician, dancer, record producer, video producer, and director.
She is my ultimate favorite
She's a genius. Have a listen to her earlier stuff from the 70s .....Babooshka, Wuthering Heights. I think you'll LOVE the video of her in Babooshka......she's absolutely mesmerisingly gorgeous! 😁❤️
You rly need to go down the Kate Bush rabbit hole ...she's a musical genius !!!
I am 52 years old and remember when the song came out. It's funny to see reactions so many years later. Sending love from Germany ❤
Kate Bush is has it all. She probably is one of the most talented artists the world has seen. Absolute magic.
Kate is a musical genius..her songs have meaning. As a motherr her Song "army dreamers " always makes me cry.. give it a listen 🙂
This song has been following me since it came out - still a masterpiece among many Kate Bush Masterpieces
Kate Bush is also the original singer and writer of This woman’s work covered by Maxwell . Amazing song
‘Man with a child in his eyes’ - her voice is even more beautiful in this one and you’ll recognise another one of hers ‘This Woman’s work’ redone by Maxwell!
… Then there’s Babooshka 🔥
One of the best 70s, 80s female artists ever, hands down.
Kate has no equivalent, Kate is a unique talent.
This song charted in the top 10 upon it's original release in 1985 then again in 2012 and yet again at number 1 in 2022... Amazing.
I bought this album when it was released and I love all the songs. She's an amazing artist
Check the "Don't Give Up" video she did with Peter Gabriel.
Kate Bush was phenomenal , music
she produced was phenomenal !
Though I have realised by commenting on your site just how much music I love
One of my favorite songs of all time.
Look at the age that she wrote her early songs. It just shows how unique and great she is ❤❤❤
Yeah, this song made me buy her "Hounds of Love" album to get it. Still got that LP! Kate Bush also did a lot of work with Peter Gabriel, including an amazing solo and harmonies on "Don't Give Up" from his "So" album. This song was cutting-edge for its time, in the same way that Bjork's "Human Behavior" was a few years later.
Kate Bush was the Ren of her times. Most creative independent mind in the music biz around late 70s/early 80s
