Very interesting! I hope they work out for you. I get the feeling that Adidas offers discomfort as a premium feature, trying to sell the idea that for such super high performance shoes you'll have to put up with a bit of pinching or rubbing here or there. But they've scored plenty of big-time race wins with the Adios Pro series, no doubt about it.
Thanks for watching! It's a great shoe for sure. Shame that apparently I'm not the only one experiencing some discomfort. I read that some runners even removed a pair of eyelets to reduce the friction on their top foot!
Good video Chloe. I think I’ll be getting some of these when I retire my Puma Fast R Elite 2’s from racing, hopefully by then more colours will be available. 😀 I am currently using my race retired Pro 2’s for steady training runs and they still feel great (with that bounce when you walk in them) despite approaching a thousand miles!!
Pro 3s were the best....Arguably the best invention ever!!! 😁😁. I just could not wait for Pro 4 but I hope to get it hopefully, affordably later in the year....I have used Pro 2, Pro 3 & cannot wait for Pro 4...Looking forward to your long term review. Enjoy & have a great year!!!!
Interestingly, others that reviewed AP4 also had issues with toe sore. If sizing up is not an option, then you’ll have to try changing socks to see if that helps. As for me, I like the firmer Adios Pro 3, wider base and gentler rocker for slower runs. So I will be grabbing discounted AP3 if I find them. I paid $150 USD for my AP3.
Thank you for watching! Yes it's a tricky one as I have just the right amount of room in the toe box and they'd be too big if I had sized up. I have another session today so I'll try a different pair of socks and maybe a plaster on my big toe!
I got mine 2 days ago. I've only taken them for 1 run yet, around 5K (and I'm not a fast runner), but I absolutely love them. I'm a big fan of full Lightstrike Pro shoes, so I didn't doubt that I would. I also have the Adios Pro 3, Prime X 2 strung, and Takumi Sen 10. Dislike the Boston 12. The Prime X 2 is my favourite shoe by far at the moment. Lightstrike Pro is a quite dense foam normally, but the Pro 4 feels light, squishy and airy. The upper is a lot better than the Pro 3, which had some big issues. The Pro 4 upper disappears on foot, mostly, because I had the heel cup scratching up against my achilles. I hope that disappears soon. The ride is definitely more lively, but I do feel some of the Pro 3 in there. My shoes fit true to size, but I'm wondering if some of the issues people are having, are because of the overlay/toe bumper above the big toe.
It sounds like they changed quite a few elements compared to the 3. I almost wished I had got them to compare! Hopefully I’ll be able to race in them without that big toe discomfort 🤞🏻
Nice first impression video. Adidas shoes are quite narrow fitting and l usually go half a size up on mine, as l had an issue with my little toe on my right foot.
It sounds as though, if you get the sizing right, these are a terrific shoe. If they ever turn up in the half price sales, I'll be there in a flash! 😅👍
I've been eyeing the Prime X for years... same for Adios Pro. But it's just too much money to pay what shops ask for these new. I'll keep waiting for deals or once-or-twice used pairs to test these 😂

Thanks John! Sounds like the Pro 2 are rather durable! I’ve actually never tried any Puma shoes but they do look good.
Thank you, happy new year. ♥

Thanks for watching! Sounds like you’ve been a long time Adios Pro fan!

Thank you! I also go half a size up in Adidas. I have enough room in the toebox so not sure what is it!

Haha yes, I was hoping to find a discount code but of course they were excluded from offers on every website I checked 🤪
They are indeed absolutely amazing shoes. Definitely the best shoes I ever ran in. And I tried a lot!

Thank you for watching! Hopefully you come across a deal! I'm sure there will be some on Ebay already
Pro 2 and Pro 3 fan here. I'd love a pair of 4s when the price is right.
Not a cheap shoe but compared to the Alphafly & Cloudboom Strike, slightly better price point
