Your music on Mesmer, Node, Singularity, and Discoveries are filled with lyrics you guys wrote about how to get through this stuff, it’s almost like taking your own medicine type thing, I know artist might not want to look back but maybe looking back on “the work” can shed some comfort and solace when the static of abusive memories gets to loud. Your the man Marcus! And so is everyone in the band and old members!
He's a great man, had a talk with him when he came to chile with the mesmer world tour and he took some photos with me and also signed my mesmer copy, also Nic Pettersen gave me some drumsticks too. Gotta love these guys.
Northlane is my favorite band. I feel like the whole Alien album was an autobiography of my life, I related to the lyrics so much as I have dealt with abuse as a child.
I'm happy to see Marcus have a good moral after diving into his deepest darkest memories on Alien and then facing a major counter reaction from remaining memebers of his family Also Plenty Was Exactly Why I'm So Hyped For this Album..!!! It's gonna be a good day for me
Northlane makes exactly the music i always wanted to make with old band but never managed to achieve. Huge respect for Marcus & Northlane, can't wait for the new album!!!
Really looking forward to the new album! All the singles have been great so far but I do hope theres a couple of heavier songs however like Talking Heads or Vultures.
I revisited the 2D EP and I just gotta say I absolutely love when I connect to an album and then the artist puts out acoustic versions, different arrangements, and even remixes by other artists. I love the Health remix of Bloodline! And the way Marcus sings the 2nd chorus on Bloodline an octave higher on the acoustic version is so exciting. It's so refreshing to hear the songs I love but in a different way
I really want another song like Jinn so bad!! I love that song so much from Alien. I even have dreams about it, and another Jinnish type of song for Obsidian.
@@venomau5speedz Yes after listening to Obsidian, Cypher is definitely the closest one which I'm ok with. I still love Alien more, but I love Obsidian and still getting use to it.
Really enjoying the new variety and progression of Northlane. Will never forget seeing them live in Tupelo, Mississippi in 2014 during a tornado and only myself and five others in attendance.

You opened up your feelings it’s time your family reconciled with how they brought you up homie, don’t let them victimize you again by them victimizing themselves for you having an emotional and scaring reaction to the bad choices they made when they should have been paying attention to you and your siblings! I was left in my baby pen for hours on end while my mother slept and my dad was working I’d have sour bottles and dirty diapers I was told, complete negligence then my dad became abusive physically towards me as I grew up. DONT EVER FORGET WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IF THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO OWN IT FOR THERE PART, then possible there can be reconciliation, sorry brother you guys are good heads so I get heated about something I relate to!
I'm nonbinary but in a female body and as a feminine person it's taken me many years to realize how bad social media was affecting my mental health and self image :( But it also introduced me to many things about myself. I've curated my instagram feed so I only see stuff from people who inspire me creatively, but even then, I want to distance myself from the internet completely. It's cool to see Marcus speak out about the harm of social media especially Twitter, that place is sooo rough. And it affects everyone, not just young women and girls, it's really quite bad in general! After working endless hours to make ends meet, we then fill every single waking moment of free time with being "connected" online instead of reflecting, appreciating life, meditating, questioning why we are here, finding the spark and what we want to create in this short life we have. Humanity as a whole has lost sight of why we are here individually and collectively. I know from my atheist friends that you don't need to be a spiritual person to philosophize and see that humanity should be about growth and connection and love.
I think with everything he’s been through and seeing his sister get addicted to them - drugs would be the last thing Marcus would want to delve into mate. 👍 but he has been through a lot and everyone has their own way of dealing with it. But I don’t think it was because of a spelling error haha 😆 😛
Marcus is truly one of the nicest guy in heavy music scene 🙂
