The fact that you really called out to the ones who said "animation is for kids" in the Rise of TMNT Section, shows how much I respect you!
This is why Animation deserves better! and since GDT won the Oscars, there will be a huge chance to think everyone that animation is cinema!

Of course they say that but they get angry when they criticize the quality of the series, which is bad, unlike 2003 and 2012, which are superior in stories, development, and characters.

2007 is not the best. However, I believe it created one of my favorite scenes in the tmnt universe which is the Leo vs Raph fight. It felt so raw and I just though the dialogue between them was the seriousness that grounded the audience in the movie. It always makes me rewatch it.

The 1990 movie and Rise of the TMNT movie are the best films in the franchise for not just TMNT fan's but genral audiences as well....Hopefully the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle's Mutant mayhem film is incredible and brings us a new era of animation and Ninja Turtle's

@cartoonistlouis773 Also they did the same thing in the 2012 show where they did that love turtle sub plot but this time it was with Leo instead of donnie,I really hate the intas species relationships with April it's like someone thought that awkward Oprah interview where the turtles make the weird inter species relationship joke but actually making it a reality,I really hope they forget about it in the sequel seriously with all the means Leo should have had a mutant girlfriend like in some of the IDW comics

    • @optimascrime5235

@cartoonistlouis773 In terms of romance they should borrow more inspiration from the latest issues of the idw comics not only because the turtles are actually dating mutants but also because there's actral chemistry with the characters

Sweet video, Geek. I still hold TMNT 1990 close to my heart, as it was one of my first exposures to the franchise. That said, Secret of the Ooze and especially Turtles in Time both show how much Turtlemania in the 90s was slowing down, getting to the point where the franchise would take a long break before coming back in 2003 through the 4Kids series.
TMNT 2007 is a fun watch, showing a team that might be rusty and trying to get back into the groove. Had the movie been this the whole way through, I would have enjoyed it. That said, the Stone Soldier and Monster plot feels stapled on. It is a shame that Imagi Studios had to file for bankruptcy after Astro Boy, but for what they brought, it was a delight.
The 2010s live action duology is...interesting. The Turtles may not look the best, but they have looked far worse in live action (Coming out of Our Shells says hi). The story for 2014 is not the best, but I will give kudos for that elevator scene. Out of the Shadows feels like a course correct...to a point. While it feels like it tries to rely on the 80s series a bit too much, it feels like it is trying to have more fun.
Rise was and still is a splendid series, and the movie is a beautiful send-off to my favorite iteration of the Turtles to date. From top to bottom, it shows how much the crew loved their work, even when it seemed like everyone was against them. I am glad more and more people have come around to Rise over the years, especially after the movie.
I am glad that TMNT has lasted as long as it has, having formed several iterations that each have their fans. With Mutant Mayhem coming this year, Shredder's Revenge doing gangbusters, and the IDW comics still going strong, the Turtles are here to stay, and I look forward to what comes next.

Fully agree, LOVE the Rise movie but Rise is my favorite iteration in general, it's got mostly my favorite versions of the characters except for Raph & Mikey, love those versions of them but I like 2012 Mikey & 03 Raph more, in Raph's case it's extremely close since I do adore Rise's version of him. So yeah, I am bias but it's just so good, this movie definitely feels made with an older audience in mind like it's countering the complaint people had when Rise was new that it's like a kiddie version of the TMNT, people just had the wrong impression & well, there's the bad reviews that brought it down as well as Teen Titans Go also causing damage so it ended up with so many taking it the wrong way which sucks, it did not deserve the hate it got.
The other movies, there isn't a single one I hate, even the worst one on this list of which like I do agree with that statement because 3 wasn't the easiest thing to sit through. I was shiny hunting in Pokemon while watching, if my hands weren't busy pushing buttons on two 3DSs at the same time, I probably would of completely zoned out but I didn't hate it, there were some moments I found joy in. The joke on "how did you get into April's pants?" caught me off guard so it got a laugh out of me. Even though you said you couldn't sit with your buddies & make fun of it, I feel as though this would of been a perfect candidate for MST3k, if anyone could properly make fun of it, they can & if it were on there, that'd be an episode I'd most likely constantly re-watch.
So I'm split when it comes to 2007, I like that it takes place later because as much as I love seeing the story retold & that wasn't sarcasm, I'm being genuine here, I also like being thrust into one where it's like the majority is said & done, how about we do something different? Actually, I like the prequel comics to that movie more than the movie itself since most of them more so tell what I liked from the movie which was the turtles doing their own thing. It feels like Raph got robbed like I kind of would want his prequel comic & story line in the movie to be just a movie in itself because he had the most interesting thing going for him & if it mostly focused on that, Leo would have probably been written better since they can put more focus on that story. Instead of Raph taking out the guys that murder David in the comic, it would be neat if the movie focused on tracking them down & Raph taking up the mantle as the Nightwatcher but maybe with how angry he is on the whole situation, it's causing him to be more reckless & he doesn't have a team behind him to balance out his actions so instead of taking issue with a vigilante, Leo has a problem with Nightwatcher being unhinged & causing some serious damage to the crooks he stops. It makes him seem less hypocritical at least. I don't know, that's just my take & feels bad for not even thinking about Donnie & Mikey's roles considering those two tend to be my favorite turtles within other iterations.
I could honestly drone on about the 2007 movie because I have thought about it a ton lately & I do hope some elements in it gets recycled in a future iteration like we did not get enough time with David Merryweather, it would be so cool if within a series setting to slowly have Raph build up a friendship with the guy & then for him to end up murdered at one point? Dang, that'd hit hard! When reading the comic, I felt nothing about his death because we barely had the chance to know him. Actually, Leo got the best comic in my opinion with Mikey as a close second, I would of favored Mikey's but Leo in his slaughtered a bunch of guys that sold children into slavery & freed the kids like way to go Leo!!!

My personal rankings of the TMNT movies[pre Mutant Mayhem]:
    8.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3
    7.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014
6.Turtles Forever[a controversial pick but I think lack of OG cast and this being not as good as the normal 2003 series hampers it, it’s still better than Fast Forward or the late stages of the 2003 series]
5.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out of the Shadows[I think this one gets undeserved hate and is a improvement over the 2014 movie and is fun for what it is]
4.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Secret of the Ooze
3.TMNT 2007[it was hard choosing this over Secret of the Ooze but despite how confusing it can be, it does great thanks to being darker and the first animated Turtles film plus a good voice cast]
2.Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles[Cheating with this but this was so damn good]
    And
1.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990[Dull Surprise sure but I understand why people say the original is the best one, the atmosphere, the balance of comedy and action, the mood compared to the cartoon, while keeping their pizza addiction, it still holds up today].

What is the general consensus here on: Turtles Forever, Batman vs. TMNT, and the Rise movie. Should they be counted as TMNT films or only the theatrical ones?
All 3 are great but Forever is really the finale of the 2K3 show and it was released to television. It’s even included in the upcoming 2K3 boxset as the finale. The same can be said about Rise being the finale for the Rise show. However, that was released to Netflix as a special movie as opposed to television.
Batman vs. TMNT was released to both streaming and television. It’s more along the lines of a DCAU special film.
So thoughts on how to place these films with regards to the 6, soon to be 7, theatrical releases.
I’d love to hear the arguments for why only Rise was included. Or why any, or all of them, should be included.

Actually a SMART way of asking and not demanding, thank you for having some form of common sense, it's as simple as 2 reasons, one that I was already reviewing 7 movies in a month and that was already a heavy workload with me doing a majority of the editing myself and two that I wasn't too familiar with anything outside of the theatrical films and rise on Netflix, batman meets tmnt and turtles forever just kinda slipped my radar all throughout making this video, and I didn't get told they existed until way late into production by an IRL friend of mine, hope that's a good enough answer
