Little do most people know that the solo of "Stairway to Heaven" was actually originally recorded by Jimmy Page using his Telecaster. It was only during live performances where he used other guitars. As the saying goes, "Nothing has sold more Les Pauls than Jimmy Page's Telecaster."
To be honest, wala talaga akong nakasalubong na gitarista, virtual or otherwise na kasing galing at kasing talino mo. Sana ma-meet kita one day, para jamming tayo!
Mad respect to sir for putting up this great video. I can’t imagine the time and effort you spent filming this. 👍👍👍 My personal takes: Always has been a les Paul fan, Tele as a second choice. But… that PRS really ticks all the boxes for me as a desert island guitar. The RG came in as a one trick metal guitar pony but held its own against the others in terms of versatility.
Nice one, Pax! Napaka-creative ng concept mo dito. Sa sobrang galing at creative, nabuhay yung gas ko for a strat! 😂 The highlight for me is the stairway to heaven solo using the telecaster. Napaka-iconic na tunog and great playing on your side.
11:53 naging Tele yung Jazz hahahah labyu pax! all in all, talagang nasa preference parin ng player kung ano sa tingin nya yung babagay sa tinutugtog nya. For me nag-standout talaga sakin yung Strat, PRS, and Jazzmas. medjo nagustuhan ko rin tonality ng ES-335. Pero for someone like me na wala pang sariling gitara, this video helped a lot kung ano talaga yung pipiliin ko for me (and yung kasunod na bibilhin HAHAHAHA) More power po lodi and more shanghai!
When I saw the title I was thinking every guitar has there own playability for the type of music. I was wrong. Great video it's my first time on your channel, I hope to see alot more from you thanks.
... lovely comparison vid, Pax. Agree ako sa choice mo with PRS. In my case, malayo pa ako sa skill and versatility sa guitars (bassist kasi ako firstly) pero you opened my eyes in investing on a PRS in my learning journey. Kasi at least I could have one guitar to try most tones (and technique) unique to most genres. Siguro down the road, kung masettle na yung "genre + tone" ko overall, I might get another one to complement that specifically. Better yet, hold on to the PRS and my money. 😁 Salamat!
I think the PRS has a pretty good gob in all of the genres, and the Ibanez is by far the best for hard rock styles. Jazzmaster is the king for surf but that's because we are influenced by surf music being recorded all with jazz masters.
Me and I wife just bought my first guitar yesterday, a PRS CE 24. Very versatile. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Sobrang SOLIDDD MO TALAGA BROTHER! LABYU! GRABE KA! Soliddd yun di mo pag sasabi ng OPINION mo! Dahil totoo.
Nag stand out talaga siya sa Jazz at Punk, hindi rin naman nag pahuli pag clean yung tone or with distortion na dahil may pagka-warm yung tunog niya. Sana mag ka Strat ako dahil sa versatility niya and being the most iconic guitar shape o kaya Tele dahil na rin sa versatility at simplicity. Thanks for the good comparison PAX 🔥
galing! iba-iba talaga tunog each guitar kala ko dati walang factor sa tunog ang porma pero meron pala talaga yung LP warm pala talaga yung tunog halos lahat magaganda dpende sa style at gusto mo talaga gawin tunog, gandang benchmark nito. .
pinaka versatile yung PRS, next stratocastaster, jazzmaster, ganda rin nung telecaster pagdating jazz, blues, country, overall PRS swak sa lahat genre, wla ung gibson les paul pang rock lng tlga
Great video pax.. so far isa to sa pinaka best guitar comparison video napanood ko.. clean tone - telecaster/jazzmaster, distortion - les paul/ibanez for me..
Humbucker vs single coils lang 'yan. Tapos pickup height and position. As Glenn Fricker have demoed. Just get a humbucker and a single coil guitar, tig-isa. You have everything covered. Exception ang ES-335, kasi may acoustic realm na 'to, semi-hollow and hollow are different from solid bodies.
Neosoul -> Tele Jazz -> ES 335 Funk -> PRS Country -> Tele Texas Blues -> Strat Surf -> Jazz Master Punk -> Ibanez Classic Rock -> Les Paul Clssic Metal -> Les Paul Modern Metal -> Ibanez ito top pick ko per genre.
Glad to see this comparison vedio, it helps me a lot sir Pax in knowing the versatility of any of this guitar,, but base on my opinion the prs custom 24 nailed it!
I know no one cares, but here's my take away from this superb quality video: Neosoul - Telecaster/PRS Jazz - Jazzmaster/ES-335 Funk - Strat/PRS Country - Telecaster/ES-335 Texas Blues - Strat/PRS Surf - Jazzmaster/ES-335 Punk - ALL Classic Rock - Telecaster/PRS Classic Metal - Les Paul/ PRS / Ibanez Modern Metal - Ibanez/ PRS Saktong sakto, plano kong bumili ng next guitar ko at grabe laking tulong ( or nagpagulo lalo ng isip ko haha ) nitong video para mahanap ko yung tone na hanap ko at hopefully pati identity tone na fit para sa playing style ko. I'm a fan since day one sir Pax. More power! 🔥
PAX, this is the video most guitarists need! Enjoyed most sa Classic metal 🤘🏽😀 Btw, pls correct me if i'm wrong, hindi ba Tele yung benchmark sa Classic Rock? 😀 Keep rocking, man!
+1 for Strat for iconic clean sound of the neck pickup plus quack tones of the 2nd and 4th positions. -1 for ugly sounding bridge pickup and pickup selector switch placed too near the strings (thus getting hit while strumming) +1 for Tele for sheer simplicity, twang, and capability to pull off both clean and distorted tones (does distortion much better than the strat). -1 for being uncomfortable to play from the lack of contours. +1 for Les Paul for the iconic beefy hard rock sound popularized by Guns'n'Roses. -1 for being extremely heavy and uncomfortable to play and fat neck. +1 for Ibanez Jem for being comfy for shredding and having a Floyd Rose with locking tuners. -1000 points for the headache of a Floyd Rose.
I thought pinaka versatile sa lahat ng genre based sa video mo ay yung Ibanez, then Strat. I was rooting for the PRS pero mas panalo sa tenga ko yun mga nauna kong nabanggit. Anyway, this is just me. Thank you for doing this, PAX.
Ang tunay na versatile dito si Pax! HAHA Sobrang consistent throughout all genres and guitars.
The strings get derailed upon impact. Thank u so much aaron ha 🥰
Na-activate mo yung GAS namen 😂 lol. Btw prs and jazzmaster sounds caught my attention too😅. More videos pa sir pax
Uy Pax, if you use the rhythm circuit on a Jazzmaster, hindi na yan neck + bridge. The rhythm section is neck only, pero running through a 50k pot instead of 1meg kaya darker.
Salute to you sir, galing mo, nice video.
Same tayo pre. an HSS strat na may split coil for the humbucker will do everything for me. Kaso ang ginamit ni Pax dito is SSS so medyo unfair i-compare with the humbucker fitted guitars. but to each to his own i guess

I own an Ibanez Jem, and it does really well for what it's made for, but the PRS sounds nice in every genre, it is very versatile.

But… that PRS really ticks all the boxes for me as a desert island guitar.
The RG came in as a one trick metal guitar pony but held its own against the others in terms of versatility.
The ES 335 sounded surprisingly good in classic metal.
Nice comparison! But what stand out to me is the tone of the telecaster on texas blues! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
really like the comparison bro, keep it up. Hope to see more comparison in the future
Nice one, Pax! Napaka-creative ng concept mo dito. Sa sobrang galing at creative, nabuhay yung gas ko for a strat! 😂
The highlight for me is the stairway to heaven solo using the telecaster. Napaka-iconic na tunog and great playing on your side.
PRS! Iba pala talaga PRS grabe! 🤟🏻
11:53 naging Tele yung Jazz hahahah labyu pax! all in all, talagang nasa preference parin ng player kung ano sa tingin nya yung babagay sa tinutugtog nya. All guitars are superb but the PRS nailed it due to its versatility 💯
PRS indeed a versatile guitar. 👍
agree!
Parang ayaw ko yung mukha ng prs but the tone walang makakatalo talaga ang ganda
So... What's your pick? :D
PRS and Ibanez 😂
SG 😂
i really liked the jazzmaster hahah kasi parang halos lahat okay yung tunog
May ibanez rg ako idol.
Prs versitile 2n1 strat at les pau
When I saw the title I was thinking every guitar has there own playability for the type of music. I was wrong. Great video it's my first time on your channel, I hope to see alot more from you thanks.

WOOOOOO was at 19east when this dropped!!!! So nice to meet you sir!!!!
I adore the Les Paul but the Stratocaster, PRS and RG are versatile
Me and I wife just bought my first guitar yesterday, a PRS CE 24. Very versatile. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Sobrang helpful netong tone comparison na to para sa tulad kong naghahanap ng right guitar to buy!! Decided na talaga ako for PRS
THANK YOUUUUU!!
10:52 not sure if namention na ba pero tele yung label instead na jazzmaster. still, solid vid ma dude!
Sobrang SOLIDDD MO TALAGA BROTHER! LABYU!

It's the Fender Telecaster for me + Texas Blues🔥Siguro depende talaga yan sa player at sa genre na trip niya.
Love this content, it helps me a lot. Now I know what guitar to buy that fits my tone preference. Thanks Pax! Great work!
Awwww. you are welcome!!!
pinaka versatile yung PRS, next stratocastaster, jazzmaster, ganda rin nung telecaster pagdating jazz, blues, country, overall PRS swak sa lahat genre, wla ung gibson les paul pang rock lng tlga
Great video pax.. so far isa to sa pinaka best guitar comparison video napanood ko.. clean tone - telecaster/jazzmaster, distortion - les paul/ibanez for me..
Great guitar skills, very greatful for this video, mad effort, please make another one. Thank you.
the player(PAX) ,PRS, tele, and strat thank you for the educational comparison sir!
Kuya pax, I hope you can do a review of Mooer GE100 multi-effects pedal soon.
Yes and compare it with Zoom G1xFour din sana sir Pax.
or MOOER GE150 and GE200 T-T please make this happen!
PRS versatility is on spot 🔥🔥🔥
Love the vid, Pax! Good shit man!
Now i know what guitar will fit my taste. PRS nailed it because of the split coil!! Now i have to change guitars lol
70th like! Hoping you could try a Gretch! The Filtertron pickups have a lot of clarity and cuts through the mix very well
Yung sa classic metal and modern metal po Telecaster parin yung nakalagay kahit jazz master yung guitar. 😁
Solid comparison!
something about the jazzmaster that just hits the spot
Neosoul -> Tele
Jazz -> ES 335
Funk -> PRS
Country -> Tele
Texas Blues -> Strat
Surf -> Jazz Master
Punk -> Ibanez
Classic Rock -> Les Paul
Clssic Metal -> Les Paul
Modern Metal -> Ibanez
ito top pick ko per genre.
Clean - Telecaster
Overdrive - PRS and Gibson
Thank you idol Pax
Glad to see this comparison vedio, it helps me a lot sir Pax in knowing the versatility of any of this guitar,, but base on my opinion the prs custom 24 nailed it!
I know no one cares, but here's my take away from this superb quality video:
Neosoul - Telecaster/PRS
Jazz - Jazzmaster/ES-335
Funk - Strat/PRS
Country - Telecaster/ES-335
Texas Blues - Strat/PRS
Surf - Jazzmaster/ES-335
Punk - ALL
Classic Rock - Telecaster/PRS
Classic Metal - Les Paul/ PRS / Ibanez
Modern Metal - Ibanez/ PRS
I'm a fan since day one sir Pax. More power! 🔥
PAX, this is the video most guitarists need! Enjoyed most sa Classic metal 🤘🏽😀
Btw, pls correct me if i'm wrong, hindi ba Tele yung benchmark sa Classic Rock? 😀
Keep rocking, man!
HAHAHA. U KNOW IT. 😁
Sa Classic Rock, the tone was secretly tweaked to fit both Tele and LP, kasi Stairway was said to be recorded with a Tele.
+1 for Strat for iconic clean sound of the neck pickup plus quack tones of the 2nd and 4th positions. -1 for ugly sounding bridge pickup and pickup selector switch placed too near the strings (thus getting hit while strumming)
+1 for Tele for sheer simplicity, twang, and capability to pull off both clean and distorted tones (does distortion much better than the strat).
Hayup!!! Ang ganda ng tunog nung ES 335 ah!!! 😲
Bro. Ramdam ko yun ngiti at kilig mo sa PRS Custom 24 when you played Pride and Joy!
Tele Or PRS for me .Iba appeal Sakin Ng tone Ng Dalawa Nyan Sheeshh 💯
Yung ES 335, di lang yung design ang old school pati na yung mismong tone, very deep and warm. Classic!
Langka ka talaga sir pax! Galinng mo sobra! 💯🙌
Ang tunay na versatile dito si Pax! HAHA
Sobrang consistent throughout all genres and guitars.
The strings get derailed upon impact.
Thank u so much aaron ha 🥰
@@PAXmusicgearlifestyle when ka mag kakasg sir pax😙
For me the ibanez jem nailed it all. Tone is so precise and clear. versatile as well 💯
More of this sir! Pedals naman. Nice content and awsome guitar playing.
Na-activate mo yung GAS namen 😂 lol. Btw prs and jazzmaster sounds caught my attention too😅. More videos pa sir pax
Way to Go!!! You just disproved Glenn Fricker when it comes to Metal sounds!!!
I was wondering where the "twang" of ES-335 comes from
Can't wait!!!
Nice content as always, idol Pax! 🤘🤩 Keep rockin' po
Uy Pax, if you use the rhythm circuit on a Jazzmaster, hindi na yan neck + bridge. The rhythm section is neck only, pero running through a 50k pot instead of 1meg kaya darker.
Ito ang napakagandang comparison.
All of those guitars were versatile. However, the prs and the strat shone the brightest
Thanks!!!!
That tele is a gem. Perfect balance of high and low end. But PRS ako, kaya lahat.
Salamat in advance Master Pax
🤙😎🎸🇲🇱
Nicee, I needed this because kasi bibili ako ng bagong guitar but nalilito anong klase ang kunin XD
the ibanez RG shookt me with the funk lick😵💫
Ung fender. 💯 Mapa tele, strat or jm.. 🔥
I think the ibanez rg series was the vesatile among these wonderful guitars.
PRS for the win for me 🔥🔥
Runner up, Jazz master
Salute to you sir, galing mo, nice video.
Custom 24 and JEM are simply a super strats.
Galing sir may best guitar tlga n pra s genre n trip mo tugtugin & ung PRS hanep tlga un tnxs sir!!!!! More power to you.......
now THIS is how you do a comparison.
Thank you sir pax
Telecaster and ES 335 for Jazz, Funk and Classic Rock 🎸🔥
Strat for me. Upgrade the bridge into humbucker is enough for me.
Same tayo pre. an HSS strat na may split coil for the humbucker will do everything for me. Kaso ang ginamit ni Pax dito is SSS so medyo unfair i-compare with the humbucker fitted guitars. but to each to his own i guess
Can we appreciate the versatility of sir pax for the demo
solid vid/content as always. Love you sir Pax!
Ibanez Jem/RG and PRS is the most versatile for my ears :) thanks for this vid.
Grabe.. hanep sa effort thumbs up!! PRS at fender strat ako hehe..
pax new subscriber ako. ano ma recommend mo na guitar for death metal.
whats the name of that prs? The colourway is interesting.
Hard to beat a Custom 24 in terms of versatility since it was designed to sound somewhere “in between” a Strat and LP
please do a video pros and cons between analog pedals and multi fx pedals!
Na appreciate ko tuloy ung jazzmaster sa review nato, i like it na.
Yung Prs, Gibson Les Paul, Ibanez Kahit Jazz o Groovy Yung Tugtugan Literal na nanapak eh 🔥
PRS talaga angat!
thank you for this, now i need to save for prs
Solid talaga 🔥
Binebenta mu ba yang mga branded guitars mo lods?
Thank you Master 💓
PRS FTW! ✨
galing ! husay! Ibanez nailed it
3:44 parang nag iba mukha natin dun sir ah HAHAHAHAHAH
Ohhh..I like Tele's tone in playing clear pieces...although fan ako ng Ibanez at yun ang meron ako. 😁
