I really appreciate how you show yourself wearing all the different outfits in your videos! I know it is time consuming, but I am very visual and can’t really picture in my mind how things will look. So helpful to actually see all the different pieces styled ON you, as opposed to on a hangar or laid out on the floor.
I loved this video. Please Please do another appropriate with socks video this spring with cotton or linen or any springtime fabric . Pants or ankle pants. My feet freeze in the winter and early spring, but I still want to switch from winter clothes to springtime outfits with attractive footwear. I can handle summer sandals without socks, but spring is tough for me. Thank you
Hi Jamie, this was a great video, so many great examples, wearing loafers with socks is such a cute look, I liked all the outfits, I even didn't mind the ones you said didn't work :-)
I loved it. I just went out and bought some new crew socks and have been trying different looks myself. I am having fun with this new trend and really liking some looks.
Love the second outfit the best! I bought a pair of navy loafers with a metal chain that I love wearing sockless. Having said that, I had to wear socks on a trip recently because I needed to take my shoes off to get through TSA Precheck.
I like both the white and black socks outfits. I would probably wear the black ones, only because I feel I need all the visual length I can get. The contrast of the white socks, black shoes and denim adds horizontal lines. I want to get some beige loafers, to wear with matching socks and my light-colored trousers.
I don’t tan or use tanning products, if people don’t like my white legs, they don’t have to look at them. Tanned skin has been out of style for decades.
I really enjoyed this video! Love that you use lots of black paired with pops of solid colors and the black loafers were a surprise pairing that I actually really liked!!!!
Thank you so much for this video! I really appreciate you explaining why certain outfits do work, while others may not. I am a fan of the looks with the socks. It was interesting to note that the white socks looked better with the tan blazer and jeans while the black socks looked great with the black blazer. Like you, I was not a fan of the dark denim and bodysuit with the socks and loafer. I think it might have worked better with lighter denim, though. Thanks for showing all the options. This was one of my favorite videos, as I love this vibe.
Fun video. Some of the most stylish people you can imagine are wearing socks with loafers in a ton of ways right now. When you live in a cold climate not doing so isn’t an option at this time of year.
I am 69 and I remember wearing these looks. I never thought to wear chunkier shoes with skinny or as my jeans are called slim jeans. I will give it a try. Question…besides a black or navy blazer, what color blazer can you use as a neutral besides camel? Some of us get washed out by that color. I was thinking of a soft plaid.
I’ve always liked many looks with socks. Hosiery (socks, stockings and tights) are always such underrated accessories. Plus, I can’t stand wearing closed-toe shoes without some kind of toe-covering, even if just hidden toe-sock (I found some on Amazon, but they’re not great, they’re super-bulky, with pads and nonslip buttons on them, for what purpose I don’t understand).
I like your loafers, they’re chunky but don’t have enormous lug soles. That’s how I buy trends (which I love in footwear), I choose the least extreme, most classic versions. The extreme ones date too quickly. I’m looking for a light-colored pair like those, I hardly ever wear black, even in shoes. But, black ones are definitely dominating the market.
I actually always hated loafers but I have changed my mind. I like that there are different versions. I like the ones that are heeled too. I wonder if the eyelet dress would have worked better with a lighter colour chunky loafer?
Maybe it's because I'm from a different part of the country but I largely didn't agree with your take on this. The outfit that you used as your example of what not to do I actually thought look better than many of the ones you thought looked good. Didn't think the lights off thing was even slightly cute and the untucked shirt just made it look sloppy. You kept referring to the last outfit as dressy when I really didn't think it was just because they were darker washed jeans and a simple tank top that's the Casual element, with a blazer and the shoes are across between the two. I didn't like the wash of the jeans with the camel Blazer, white socks and loafers. I think the chunky loafers would look better with a wider leg Jean or with fun tights and a preppy looking mini skirt.
When you wear white socks with chunky black loafers, you really need to show them fully, under shorter hemlines with enough skin between socks and the hemline, not submerged under pants or jeans unless you are going for the Charlie Chaplin or Michael Jackson look. You look better showing some skin around the ankles when you are wearing loafers with pants. So very low, invisible loafer socks will work better. The rest of the combis are not chic enough TBH.
Imagine how boring life would be and look if we all liked the same things. Imagine how nice life would be if we didn't feel the need to tell people things that didn't affect us

Cute ideas! The white socks with black loafers definitely give me Michael Jackson vibes!
Too cute, a total flashback to the 60’s! ❤
Love the pink cardigan look. Cute! I appreciate the info, always nice to have a classic look to current trends.
Black blazer, black socks is the best outfit in my opinion. Great video
Oooh, the shorts with the ball cap....and cute socks. My fav outfit by far. Love your channel, btw.

Good to know. I will definitely consider it. There are probably some cute things you can do for spring.
This was very helpful. I love my chunky loafers 👞.
Nice video. I wear socks everyday in winter… im a Senior & very cold natured. Also don’t like skinny jeans or leggings but wear straight or wide leg.
Hi Jamie, this was a great video, so many great examples, wearing loafers with socks is such a cute look, I liked all the outfits, I even didn't mind the ones you said didn't work :-)
My favorite. Striped top, camel blazer, blue jeans, white socks and loafers.
I loved it. I just went out and bought some new crew socks and have been trying different looks myself. I am having fun with this new trend and really liking some looks.

Hi Jamie, thank you for the socks!
I liked all of the outfits with the striped top the best!

Your video recording and audio are really well done. Very clear and clean.

Black socks for the win! 😆

Thank you for this video with the loafers! 🥰
You're so welcome! Thanks for watching!

Thanks!
Thanks for the fashion advice! I'm going to shop for some loafers today. Where did you get the Paris sweater? Very cool!

The white socks pulls that outfit together. With the white and black striped top.
I adore your black purse!
Love it! I can't wait to try some of these styles. TY!

Thank you for the nice video, I like your beige blazer, from where it?
Thanks. It's from Everlane. Here is the link rstyle.me/cz-n/hipj5rce4fp
U could try khaki/tan socks with the tan blazer
Socks with loafers r all over NYC right now
I don’t like loafers no matter what and never have. But I’m sure this video will be helpful for anyone who does.
The shirts with ballcap outfit makes you look like Angus from AC/DC. Lol.
What kind of socks to wear to style the no socks look? What are they called? Thanx🩷
Not a fan of loafers. But they look good on you .Thank you for the video .
Your shoes look big 😮

I thought the last look was nice, especially when you cuffed up the jeans. 🤷♀️

I have always hated the look of loafers on me or anyone else. It's one item I will never wear for the sake of fashion.
I get it. We all have something we feel that way about. Thanks for sharing.
Oooohhh….yeah, No….I did not like any of these outfits.🤷🏻♀️
That's quite alright!

Haters gonna hate.
