For your question, I'm not sure if I can be helpful to specify as so far I just see fall colours in southwestern Ontario (and long ago on the East Coast and Midwest in the US before). There are so many small to large forests in Ontario and the colours are mixed from red, yellow to brown due to the different trees (prettier ones would be maple forests). The tricky parts are not the location but the weather and timing. The Fall weather in ON could be very rainy sometimes. The peak time to see the colours is pending on the weather that year (normally the northern ON will see the change earlier than the south) between late Sept and early or mid-Oct. Sometimes a big shower can wash off the colourful leaves overnight. You're welcome to watch the following vlog I recorded last year around the Region of Waterloo. These are various community forests and trails. Last year it was very lucky the weather was very cooperative (not too much rain) and the fall colours lasted longer too. Last year we went to Agawa Canyon a bit early combined with a trip to Michigan, so the colours there hadn't been in peak time yet. Also, because there are many maple trees in Quebec, the fall should be very pretty there too. Sorry if I wasn't helpful to answer your question. Good question. I tried to research who manages the park but didn't find it under Park Canada nor the list of Ontario provincial parks (both prohibit drones). Thus I emailed Agawa Train and heard back today. The answer is no as that area is a private property (no wonder). I guess you'll need to request special permission in order to use it. Car is not going to be changed for the whole trip, but are people using the same seat on the way back as well OR its going to be different (as you get in)?

During our trip, people could stay in the same seats on the way back (which we did), but the conductor did announce to encourage people to exchange seats for a different view with their neighbors if they agreed. You certainly can check with other passengers if you wish to sit on a different side.

You do have options to purchase food on the train if you can accept the price and options. I didn't go check, so I wasn't sure what avaiable on the train without pre-order. It would be safer to pre-order if you plan to buy the food on the train. You can also check the restauant there (it's right behind the train station) and see if you can pre-order foods to be picked up in the morning.

The train will head west first then north. We meant the north side of the car when you depart from the platform.
