  • Hi Everyone! Welcome to my video blog. Today I am talking about one of the treasure ships that was never found, along the coast of Cape Breton. The ship was from the 18th century, and it was called the St.Michel.
This story is taken from my father's book, "Seaweed & Gold". I hope you enjoy this.
Interested in seeing more about my father, Alex Storm and his treasure ship adventures, then check out the Seaweed & Gold facebook page: / seaweedandgold
Interested in reading the book my father, Alex Storm wrote about his treasure ship discoveries, and the treasures still waiting to be found. Then you can go to the Cape Breton Books site to purchase the book online. capebretonbooks.com/products/...

Interesting, but as a treasure diver why would I look for treasure if the Government is just going to take it? Diving is very expensive. Good luck Nova Scotia, divers are not coming there until you adopt the example of Britain which compensates divers for relics.

I read and re-read Seaweed and Gold. I was fortunate enough to meet Alex Storm on a couple of occasions. He was a wonderful person and such enthusiasm. Good luck on your adventures!

I was hoping someone would carry on his legacy. There are so many lost wrecks around Nova Scotia waiting to be found. Keep it up!

I think it's illegal to look for shipwrecks in NS, with the new technology they would have no problem finding all these old shipwrecks but it's just not legal anymore.

@@TeaGFIt is 100% legal to look for wrecks, as long as you do not disturb the site. Regarding current technology it has definatly made the search easier but it is still difficult. Our rough waters are constantly stirring up the bottom camouflaging sites.

Good video Julian, liked how you used Google Earth to show where the wreck happened and where there are possible locations of ruins/treasures.

Pretty cool video but, there are dozens of documented and undocumented shipwrecks in that area. The Battle of Fort Toulousse was only 20 km from Point Michaud.

no compensation is bs just incentifies somone who found a pot of gold not to report it and melt it down.
