I am keeping an art journal and using mix media - all sorts. I want you to know how much of an impact you have with your art, your manner and enthusiasm. She’s so beautiful ..I love watching you paint ,adding each layer to bring out the brightness of the colours,adding shapes to flat surfaces..This one is so beautiful because you have kept it reasonably simple ,leaving the focus on the gorgeous girl and the bold coloured flowers around her head...I love this one..but there are not many of your works I don’t anyway lol 🥰

I have always love Freda, she suffered so much pain but rose above it and attacked life, I suffer from Fibromyalgia and Arthritis so pain is present all the time, I find Freda inspires me to reach for the stars, Thanks Tam, your Freda make me smile she is just so beautiful much love
Love, love, love watching you work, and the end result, too! Would you mind sharing about how long it takes for you to do a work like this? Is it all in one sitting (as it looks like on the video), or are you working on it over the course of a day or maybe longer? I'm so slow and indecisive that something like this would take me days or weeks - with most of the time spent in deciding where the next stroke should go or the next media to pick up... and of course it wouldn't look anything like as beautiful as this :-)
thank you so much for your lovely message. a painting like this usually takes me between 2-4 hours. with time and practise you will be less indecisive, it's all about practising and becoming more confident over time. get yourself a 'i can mess it up/ play/ exploration journal/ sketchbook' where you just try things out, that will help with learning about supplies, loosening up and letting go of outcome
@@willowingarts Thank you so much for your reply! Very helpful to have a reference for the time a painting like this takes for someone with lots of experience. Speeded up videos are easier to watch, but give the impression that lovely artworks are just "whipped out" in 30 minutes or less ;-)
