Also there's so much mention of the wind. Lots of times people with lung problems/respiratory problems which is very evident that someone did in this house..they're very spiritually connected to the wind. Wind is symbolic with breath. Which is something lung patients are very short of. Something tells me this was their child. Probably wasn't given a good prognosis. Wasn't expected to live a very long life...and they're obviously wentto the ends of the earth to help. Even designing their home so that the wind Gods would bless them. Just my 2 cents guys.

'm Wiccan and I'm pretty positive that they were too. It's very peaceful and spiritual, like the feel of this home. I wish I could buy it, it seems like such a shame to tear down such an amazingly beautiful, artistic home! I saw a few alter spaces and the artwork at the top of the stairs stands for the two of cups, which is a Tarot card. 😉

@@annaaugust1613 thank you for saying that too. I'm a respiratory therapist by trade but also tend to be empathic as well (or so I'm told). All the medical equipment def screams lungs/resp problems but i think it's way deeper than that.

The wall paintings are a design type called trompe l'oeil ( trick the eye, or optical illusion....nothing is as it seems ) This seems to be a recurring theme in this home . The gecko is a symbol of rebirth ,change ,reincarnation ..there were several geckos painted and carved in the home . The peacock is a symbol of patience, awakening and related to the stars (stars in lights on ceiling ,as is the moon , also a symbol of re-birth ...the moon dies every morning and is reborn each evening ) Ivy is everywhere in the home any has always represented immortality ,eternity , faithfulness. With evidence of someone coming near the end of life .... the medical equipment . There seems to be a new age spirituality sprinkled around the decor in an attempt to either reaffirm the circuitous nature of life, or attach the energy of everlasting symbols to the dying person. I'm betting the altar thing in the middle of the room is the control for the ceiling lights . You can see a bunch of what look like switches all around the top of the altar...I"m thinking they could change ceiling to different astrological or wiccan symbols. Either Wicca or just new age astrology or a smattering of both , Cool place

They must have been french. They had french VCRs by french comedian Elie kakou, and the name on the wall is more like a saying: "La caresse du Mistral", which, means "the gentle touch of the wind/the caress of the wind" (actually it's weird they would call it a caress as, the Mistral is a very specific type of wind, a violent winter wind coming from the north, descending on the south east coast of france, specifically the Mediterranean coast. It's a cold wind said to bring sunnier days...I know because I'm french, born on the Mediterranean coast, despite now living in Los Angeles). Very artistic, for sure. Where was this at??? I'd love to know just what city this house was in. It would make sense they are also from southern france. The trompe l'oeil (eye trick) effects on the wall all seem to be vistas of Provence, with lavender fields, sunflowers, grape Vines/vineyards...seems they tried to recreate a piece of France wherever this house was at. It looks very outdoorsy, like the paysage you'd see from a terrace on the french riviera. Idk. Just my two cents. This looked very familiar to me, and made me quite nostalgic for a minute.

I believe the thing you saw in the first room is used to put moisture into oxygen so it wouldn’t be so much of an irritant as you breathe in. For someone on oxygen long term this would be vital. That would also explain the inspiration spirometer (the thing with the 3 balls) that you found in the living room.
What you found in the bedroom, my first thought was a portable X-ray machine but I’ve never seen one with 3 “windows” and I’ve never known an individual to own one.
Clearly someone in this house was very sick, likely cystic fibrosis or something chronic. If it had been something more acute like lung cancer or COPD this equipment would have been rented it would not have been purchased. Perhaps they died intestate (without a will) or the will was contested and the home was tied up in probate for a long time leading to its disrepair.

Siting dolls on chairs - it's like our grandmother said that her mom told her you had to have a doll on a chair in your house. So she got us a clown doll to sit on a chair or something. It wound up in a movie and she threw it out probably coz it was weird they said. But maybe her mom was teaching her something a style of some kind antique decorating. Another woman she told her daughters that she thought a girl child had to have dolls in their room. So she bought those decorating dolls all dressed up and had them in one of their daughters rooms. So some people do some strange decorating with dolls. Clowns decorative dolls or those standing dress up kid dolls looks like. Or crochet dolls they make n' sit them on a chair/ clown dolls. So it's some kind of art thing antiquey maybe style like that house. We don't like those kid baby doll things for sure though!!!

I love wrought iron myself so I had the time of my life in Paris. I love the photos I took and bought my daughter a good camera and she followed in my steps and could see the beauty within the beast. Whether it was the weather, old places and animals. My nans house hadn’t changed in 100yrs and I mean the same carpet, Lino dressers, Lounges and especially a small kitchen table that you could see the whales jumping high out of the water. And my cousin bought it at a pretty good deal. But it helped me get to Europe and esp Pompeii . I can’t wait until Covid is gone so we can holiday again. Thanks again for being a true adventurer.

I wonder if the house was used as a fright house at Halloween after it was vacated? The red paint on the mirror about danger. The electric light board in the living room and the piano is quite old. It has candle holders on each side to see by, that is before electricity. Was this home in southern Belgium? The piano is from Liege and there was many Belgium ceramics. The Wiccan idea is spot on, I think. I got the feeling a musician and his family lived there but he died prematurely from lung cancer or emphysema. Just a weird gut feeling. I lived in southern Belgium for almost 3 years, very French there. I recognized a lot of things. Thanks Ronin! I am addicted to your videos, love adventure.

I hope someone rescues the stuff from this place. And the amazing buildings they just let sit there and rot when there are plenty of us who would love and care for some of these places in a heartbeat, but most would rather they just sit there and rot away. they're probably decorating the architecture to match the moon view for a room mainly used at night or a night view and it seems related to house seems to disappear into a landscape built into nature somehow it's about the outdoors. that does sound like wiccans say they are, but they decorate like that sometimes- that house is about wind and moon waxing waning wind blowing maybe - seems a very art like house! someone said the cold wind brings brighter sunny days so that's very graphic art sounding to us like they say character progression in films. the story progresses along n' tells a whole story. so over romantic art it appears to be. who built that one we'd wonder? the last true king we saw a video on him - he was over romantic and built a castle that disney based the cinderella castle on. a fancy house like this may draw stories online and odd sites just to use it to sell that stuff online. it appears to be a creatively designed house that they can't sell coz it's too expensive and too weird maybe. if you're that rich you want a house that's more your style. house is round n' so is the moon, too so it matches to use that. Star lights- it's bringing the outdoors indoors and the view it's coz the house is about a nice night starry night view out in the country maybe.

The pin point lites makes me think that tall white cabinet thing controlled those lites and more. The house looks like it was built for theatrical productions. And those wall paintings are repaintings of famous works. The darkier walls would be black with those pin point lites. The wall shapes would allow easy furniture moving in and out of the production area but also the 'home'. Even today I still go to home concerts and productions. Most of the homes have artist owners and are very unusual homes -- in design, structure and furnishings. Many times these functions are the beginning of the week when say a small concert wouldn't bring in much but a home that could seat and serve even 50 ppl makes a very nice evening with lots of good friends, food and wine. And the artist don't have a tip jars but are given envelopes, even more important are the contacts - they aren't called groupies at this level lol

Possibly for illnesses like Jandus, where the liver is not working properly. The thing with the three balls in it is to measure lung strength. You blow in it and however many balls can rise to the top, tells you how well you are able to breathe.

Or even the locations of some of these properties. Actually, finding any factual information about these old, abandoned properties would be a massive undertaking. I thoroughly enjoy his videos... knowing "exactly" who has lived and their personal story won't change that.

As an architect I can say with certainty that the current layout does not conform to day to day living for a family, instead it conform to short term ancillary space... it’s a VERY expensive bachelor pad AT BEST. The common to private space is disproportionate.

This house isn't weird at all, just a bit different from most. The people who lived here were very creative in the design and furnishing of their house. I suspect that one or more of the residents died and the others couldn't bear to live there any longer. Grief can do strange things to people.

Someone definitely had asthma or some respiratory distress. The little ball thing you blow into is to measure how well you can blow. The one bathroom that had the nice shower had a steam shower in there and the humidifier . Steam used to be used to help people with asthma. Used to spend time in the hospital when I was young and there were special steam rooms they used to make us hang out in to breathe better. Such a cool place

The plastic thing with the balls and tube is a breathing exercise tool. It helps the user determine how much they can blow out. I used one at the age of 9 to help while my lung was healing. It brought me back to being in the hospital after my boating accident, my lung was cut in half.

I totally agree! With all these abandoned places just going to waste. There's no good reason why anyone should be homeless. If they can't afford to pay very much, if anything, let them stay in return of keeping the place up. When they find jobs and still need/want to stay, then let them contribute to paying for some repairs, whatever they can afford.
