oooh, so pretty, and versatile! Over the last year, I have been getting Furl's crochet hooks. And, this process would be beautiful for the covering, while making the pouches for the inside. I love those old scrap quilts, and this is perfect! So glad I stumbled on your channel!
I just have to let you know! I made a red/white/blue floss book for a friend. It’s adorable and mine is being made along side hers- So appreciate you sharing-❤
What a fabulous idea!!! I bet it would be great to have all your floss you are using on a project in the same place. My brain is already working......cushy envelope on the cover, wrapped in my sampler of stitches (which I had no idea what I was going to do with!) and old business cards to use to punch hole in! GIood to go!! next trip to store....hooks! I had to LOL when hubby passed by and saw the title video Floss Book organizer.....then asked why would you need an organizer for DENTAL floss?!!! After 50 years of being married to him, he still says the darndest things!!!! BTW thanks for mentioning the size of the hooks. for some reason I thought they were magnets (DUH?) on bread ties....guess I need to put on my reading glasses!! LOL!! I put my in progess threads on a ring too!! However, I still have about 500+ threads from my mom's store.....still with the Coats&Clarks label from 1960!! I think it is a great idea to display them, but they also would become a dust collector. For now, they look so pretty in between tissue paper in every color imaginable. Great video and as always, looking forward to the next one.
Thank you so much and it sounds like your book will be beautiful! That's hilarious your husband thought it was for dental floss!!!😂 How lucky to have all those threads from your mom. I bet they are a beautiful rainbow to look at! Thanks again for watching and your lovely comments🧡
I’ve made my own floss tags for several years and cut them to 1 x 2”. I don’t use tape on the surface as I use comic book backer boards to cut them and then I write DMC and the # on the tag using a pen. I figure each floss color needs its own tag anyway, so just make them permanent to that floss # 😊
I think like you. The best solution is to hanging floss tube on a book or something flat. We have a better view to choose color. Maybe I will make one, probably bigger.
@@thegingercatstitcher yes it's the best solution. Floss Tube storage is a big puzzle psychologic 🤣 I wonder, if it's good to start several cross stitches projects in the same time, or if I must finish one before starting another. 🤔

What a really cool idea. I would also add felt to hold needles 🪡 and something to hold scissors ✂️.

I haven’t tried the comic book backer board. I’ll have to give it a try. Thanks for watching and commenting 🧡

Thank you and yes, I love seeing them against a background to view the color too! I hope you make one😁

Did you iron the fusible fleece to the fabric? Wonderful tutorial. Getting my hooks today!
Yes I did ❤️ I’m so happy you are going to make one
