Pls dont put the USB dongle in one of the back USB slots. There is the fan and the dongle will heat up a lot during gaming. Especially if you put the Ps5 in a rack. The sound will get worser during gaming. The front USB is the better choice 👍🏻😉
@@simplyscratching I’m sorry I don’t know the airflow of the fans from the new model. Maybe it will work with the dongle on the back. But if you put the ps5 in a shelf or a rack the hot air could get stuck and maybe heat up the dongle. One of my friends bought an usb hub which had a cable. The cable was plugged in the back and the hub stands beside the ps5. And he plugged the dongle in this external hub. Maybe this could work for the newer model too (he has the “old” ps5) But if nothing will work for you just use the dongle in the back and if you recognise some sound issues just make a break and let the dongle cool down 👍🏻☺️
I guess they use the pulses for the PSVR2 demo, cause using the same pair earphones(provided with the headset) for demo used with each and every reviewer could cause contamination, with a pair of headphones the chances are less
Bought the CAMO design version. I love it. Kinda over price for a USB connection when the headphones can be "truly" wireless. Overall I barely bought a ps5 after 2 years. So I got it because the camo.

The headset is great because of its compatibility with the PS5. However it is very uncomfortable to me due to the high cramping force on the ears. After 1 hour my ears hurt so much. Now I just use my Steelseries Arctis7 which I can wear for several hours with no issues
Yeah I bought the headset when returnal released and LOVED them until about 1-2 hours of playtime. I couldn't wait to take them off. I started just recently looking into better ones and found for Nova 7 and will likely go for those.
@@Kylar55 Define "well". Artics (well, all SteelSeries headsets) do not support all features that Pulse 3D do. For example if you turn Artics off (on headset itself) audio is still directed into headset instead of automatically switching to HDMI (like this happens in Pulse 3d). You need to unplug dongle or switch audio output in ps5 menus. That sucks badly and SteelSeries has no firmware fix for that (last time I've checked).
@Brian Price I've tested H7. Microphone is so much better in Inzone H7 than in Pulse 3D. Unfortunately there is a big flaw with leather used. Earmuffs produce very annoying sounds when they rub (due to head movements) agains frame of the glasses (it was reported by other people too if you google around). So bad sounds that I returned H7. H9 have the same problem from what I found in net.
I use them with my ps4 pro going full black like batman 2 black controllers a black charging station that charges the 2 black controllers and the ps4 sits in it also i use ps5 controllers on it
@@Iandonutguy I actually own an series x with Microsofts official stereo wireless it's quite good. I also own pulse 3d and I think I can hear cod footsteps better but Xbox has better bass. I like using the Xbox ones for movies and music

I got this headset yesterday and really like them. I got them pre-owned, but mint condition for $45. They're definitely not worth their $100 price tag imo. For $50 or under they're a great set of headphones.
They are actually worth the initial price tag, all headphones at that price range are identical but these have that 3d sound which are fun. That being said, the best gaming headsets are in the 200 price tag.
I just bought a pair of these (white and black). The monitor button doesn’t seem to do anything. I can’t hear my own voice at all. Did I get a dud, or is this feature worthless?

I have platinum Playstation 3D audio noise canceling headphones that cost 160 even to this day, and it's hands down. THE BEST HEADPHONES I EVER HAD it's made with metal and plastic. The only issue I have with them is that the frame when going from metal to plastic is easy to break and I had to buy another pair but the new ones seem very strong and so far it hasn't had any issues related to them breaking as far as I know. It's a little tight putting on, but once it's on, it feels like a mother holding its baby. It even has a built-in mic it's pretty much the grandpa of these new Playstation headphones you're reviewing. But as of right now, I won't know the difference until I get home.
Had pulse 3d for about a year and a half. They have completely fallin apart. Still working tho but the ear cops are torn and the material covering the speakers broke in about 6 months. They sound pretty good just not the best for imaging and fps games. You hear footsteps but sometimes it’s hard to know where there coming from especially when a lot is going on in game.. I just saved and bought the maxwells a high end gaming headset and it’s night and day different from the pulse 3d. Didn’t even know gaming and music could sound so good.. Get the MAXWELLS!!;)
There is Aliexpress ear replacements with different materials too. No point to compare 99 dollar headphones with a 399 ones. For sure there will be night and day difference between them man
Aren't those just normal stereo headphones and the "3d" effect actually comes from the VR headset, which has actual head tracking? I don't see how those headphones would have the ability to do anything "3D". It's stereo, which is one dimension (left, right). For 3D you need at least 5.1.2 (5.2.4 just adds more speakers). Or you have head tracking, but then it's the head tracking device that does the 3D effect, not the headphones.
And btw, yes I have those headphones. They are ok. Just normal wireless stereo headphones. There is a microphone, but it doesn't even seem to work. I would only use it for searching youtube and for some reason it doesn't work at all. The only reason I bought them is that I first got the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless headset and it kept interrupting the wireless signal even though I'm right next to the base station so I had to return it. I don't get why they can't just support bluetooth headphones like every other device. It's so frustrating. But that's Sony.

Funny story when I purchased my pulse 3D headset I bought it from gamestop for which I bought it for same day delivery. On the same day I ordered my pulse 3D headset I didn’t get my headset at all, the next day I went to gamestop to pick up my already paid headset. Soon after I arrived home I got a notification that I got a full refund from my order so essentially I got my pulse 3D headset for free on a whim but man was I so happy I saved $100 on a headset especially a new one.

Look at the back of the box where it'll say just below the description of the game and it'll say if it's compatible with dualsense controllers, rumble, ect. On ps store it'll be near the bottom of scrolling the description I think

For me they're just not worth it, build quality is horrible in my opinion, I have no problem with plastic, but they just feel so cheap. Audio is decent, but in my opinion there are way better third party options out there.
Dont buy them, they dont even support bluetooth! yes that is correct you heard correctly "Wireless" headphones that dont support Bluetooth, so they wont connect to your tv or phone, they only work for playstation or whatever you have the USB dongle plugged into (device must support outputting through the stupid dongle) hint my very modern CX Oled which DOES support bluetooth output doesnt output through the stupid dongle

What really pisses me off when I got these from target the website advertises them as Bluetooth headphones and then you find out they use a dongle and aren’t even Bluetooth compatible
I just bought a pair in anticipation of my psvr 2 and I'm very disappointed. Way to quiet of a headset at max level. I've raised all settings, switched from chat to game mode, etc but still too quiet. I've always used my arctis pro dac when I need a headset with my ps5 and can't go higher than 60% with those. Funny enough, I use the over ear Mantis with the psvr 1 and those are louder than these pulse 3ds

I love my midnight black pulses. Amazing sound quality for only $100 😎 And Sony is a headphone/electronic king.
