    I made this a week ago for a vegan potluck and everyone loved it! 🙌🏽 They especially liked the fact that no added sugars were used. Just dates.

    These are so yummy. I love how the blueberry sauce is loaded with whole blueberries! They pop in your mouth. Sooo sooo good. Even my brother, who side eyes WFPB food, liked these.

    Made this today! It is amazing! I replaced the almond flour with organic spelt flour due to allergies and it still tasted incredible! A massive hit in our household ❤️ thank you so much for the recipe 🙏

    Deeeeelicious, simple, easy, and oh my the color of the filling stunning. Who needs dyes?!?!?! My healthy-no-thanks husband wanted more! Next time, I'll probably add less dates to the crust and the filling. Recommend baking with silicone pans - better for the environment and your pocketbook😊

    Amazingly delicious. The addition of the lemon adds a certain ZING, a refreshing zing that makes you close your eyes and really take in the flavor sensation. I made them tonight to be the desert for a going-away dinner of a friend and we all were delighted indeed. Super easy, way healthy and energizing! I do love your teaching style and I agree with comments that when you taste your own creations, you can feel the foodie in you connect with the foodie in me and the inner dance says this is a must try recipe. Mmmmmmmm so very good.

    Oh Jill! You’ve outdone yourself this time! 🎉 Looks AMAAAAZING!!❤
    PS…When I’m done blending the half cup berries with the lemon juice etc I’m gonna keep my dirty blender jug aside to make a smoothie straight after, cos I hate wasting all that sticky blueberry goodness still clinging to the sides of the blender! (Hehe Any excuse for a smoothie!}😊

    For people saying this isn’t gluten free. Oats are NATURALLY gluten free but some brands aren’t because they grow on the same field as wheat. You need to get a brand that says GLUTEN FREE ORGANIC OATS

    • @GpD79
      @GpD79 ปีที่แล้ว

      From my understanding, it's not so much that oats are grown in the same field as wheat, but more so processed in the same factory as wheat.

    • @wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow

      That is a good question. I haven’t tried freezing them. My guess is that once it is defrosted the crust might be soggy.

      How about apples, raisins, bananas, dried mulberries, other kinds of dried fruit...?...If the fruit is not dried, you may need to add more arrowroot, but i never made it, so just guessing...🌟

    Your desserts are very delicious looking however they are also very expensive. I wish you could do all cheaper alternative with the same flavor and texture then using dates? This dishes probably 15 to $20 for a small little pan in my area

  • @smallbluechicken6818
    @smallbluechicken6818 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Jill, I love many of your recipes but the ones that have a lot of dates in them are a real problem, specifically because of the cost. I live on the west coast of Canada and for whatever reason dates cost a fortune. This recipe calls for 2 cups and that comes with about a $20 price tag. Factor in the other ingredients and I'm looking at close to $30 for this recipe; that just doesn't make sense at that point. I'm sue this is terrific as many of your recipes are, but the price point is just too high.

    • @CastledarkDweller27
      @CastledarkDweller27 ปีที่แล้ว

      I live in Australia and have the same prob with high cost if I try to buy medjools. But most supermarkets here (Aldi in particular) always have little cheap dried dates available in half kilo bags for about $2! 🎉 I use them every time a recipe calls for dates, even when a recipe might specifically call for “a cup of MEDJOOL dates” (if u don’t have a strong blender, just soak them in hot water for a bit then drain before use)😊
