Dear Tom. Is there a function to test the I/O of a yaskawa servopack. i have here a I/O cable without pin numbers so i taught may be it could be a function to solve this problem. i remember i saw this on youtube but i cant remember the title of the video

In Step 4 the contact is supposed to latch so you can jog the motor. Does anyone know what to look for if the contact doesnt engage? Thanks in advance for your replies.

      Terry,
To see if the contact engages you wound look to using the outputs, in particular the Servo Ready output. "Servo Ready means there are no servo alarms and the main circuit power supply (powering up the power section of servo pack) is turned ON." This would be terminals 29 & 30 on the JUSP-TA50P Terminal Block. Be careful here because the Photocoupler output levels per output are a maximum of 30VDC and maximum output current of 50mADC.
Also: An added condition with absolute encoder specifications is that the SEN
signal is at high level and absolute data was output to the host controller. Now this may apply to the jog function also.
You can also see at about 4 minutes into the video one of the seven segment displays are on (servo is in base block), a little further in when I press the MODE/SET button, the segment goes away and at this point the power section is powered up.
You also need to aware that if you are using a brake motor, I have seen most of the time the power to the brake is run through a relay and the servo output controls the relay. This is due to the low amperage limitations of the output 50ma.
      Hope This Helps
      Tom

    hi. My name's Thien.
I has a Yakawa sigma II too.
may you teach me how to setup servopack with sigmawin: position, speed, torque.
    thank you so much.

can you please can you filming a short video in which you programe a siemens PLC in TIA portal to control the position and speed of a servomotor by SERVOPACK Sigma II SGDM 20 ada, and also the programing of servodrive in SigmaWin +, I want to know how I can change the speed and position of the servo motor from a PLC panel, thank you very much

Not a problem I will be posting a video for Speed, Torque and Position control. But for now you could use the Parameter Wizard in the SigmaWin + software.

Dear sir, i've recently bought a yaskawa servopack sgdm-A5ada for learning purposes. but it seems the servopack need a motion controller to can do the job can you please tell me what kind of controller i have to use and there is other alternatives to control the amplifier with a non-yaskawa motion controller. thanks in advance

      Hello Abderahim
The type controller needed will depend on the desired out come, yaskawa makes the MP940 motion controller, if you check my videos "MP940 Deleting Program" you can use this controller for motion control. You can also use most brands of PLCs to control motion, if you are attempting position control check out page 8-48 in the users manual (sieps80000015a) it shows exactly what parameters to change for "Pulse Train input" , follow link below for user manual.

Tom H thank you very much Mr Tom. i will check the information you mentionned and see what i can do about it. the problem here is the high price of Yaskawa controller. i have already a siemens plc but i dont believe he have pulse train output

In the past I have used the MP940 by Yaskawa and the following PLCs Automation Direct (DL-205), Siemens (S7-1200) and Allen Bradley (SLC 500). I will check to see if I have the projects still if you need help.

Tom H unfortantely i have a siemens 313c 2dp without a special module for pulse train generation, i taught about the FM 354 wich is used to control servo drives but it seems its made just for siemens servo drives. actually i'm not trying just to control this servo drive but i wanna do it on a professional way since i'm a student engineer. so this was the idea. i'ill keep you updated sir with the progres

A QUERY I CAN LOCK THE SGDM SERVODRIVER WITH ANALOGUE REFERENCES FOR SPEED AND TORQUE AND A DIGITAL ENTRY FOR ACTIVATIO N

    • @tomh2466
      @tomh2466  4 ปีที่แล้ว

The short answer is yes depending on the model, you would be able to use a digital signal to Enable and to place servo amplifier into Run. The analogue will be used to control the speed and torque.
Follow this link to manual for schematic, www.yaskawa.com/downloads/search-index/details?showType=details&docnum=SIEPS80000015
pages 6.3.1 for Spreed Control and 6.3.3 for Torque Control. You will notice while in Speed Control the torque is limited. In Torque Control speed is limited.
Starting reading at 8.39 for speed control. And 8-61 for Torque Control.
      Hope This Helps

Porque sale A.C9 quiero saber deme una solucion

    • @tomh2466

One thing you can try is turn off power to the Servo Pack and wait 10 to 20 minutes, while you are waiting check and make sure encoder cables are not damaged and encoder connections are tight, after a minimum of 10 minutes turn on power.
      POSSIBLE CAUSES
The A.C9 is an encoder communication alarm.
A couple thing that can cause this alarm.
      1. Using a motor & encoder not made for the servo pack.
      2. Wiring for encoder is damaged or wired incorrectly.
      3. Encoder is damaged.
      4. Corrosion, dirt, dust, oil, grease in encoder plugs.
Each Servo Pack at start up, will look to the encoder for the code, if the code is a miss match for the Servo Pack it generates this error.
      Hope This Helps
      Tom
