In this interview, Sarah does what some interviewers have never learned to do - she lets her interviewee go because he was very interesting and chatting brilliantly. She asks occasional good questions to keep it rolling. Nice interview! How can you not like Zach Miller?
If that was me watching my watch in the last km , I would be tripping and falling over. Yet he was sprinting with what seemed to be under 7min mile pace after a 20hour race. Insane human.Big respect, Zach.
Didn't know much about Zach in terms of what kind of person he is, but what a great insight into a fabulous competitor and human being he is. Well done to Zach for running his best race and being able to appreciate and celebrate that. I'm a new fan!
Zach thanks for sharing your insights during your running course. You made all the great efforts and congrats on your win! Zach you are a humble, honest and genuine runner! I admire you! 💪🙏❤️
never expected this kind of high end level from start to finish, zach. i'm really glad that you found the right set screws to conjure up such a performance.
Good point about not doing UTMB again next year. It's not the only race. It's not the oldest. It's not the toughest challenge. It's just one well funded race that US runners hadn't yet unlocked. One of the best 3 out there but nobody should steak their whole career on it.
Giving you the European perspective on it: Circumnavigating Europe's highest mountain (excluding Russia) through three iconic founding countries of alpine sports, Switzerland, France and Italy, is pretty fucking special. It's a meaningful race and a beautiful course. I went to Colorado last year and I love the Rockies and the passion for the mountains there. Just be a little more mindful that there's a world outside of the US.

You've been the protagonist Zach on this race, that last kilometer was Epic 💪. Your great Zach
Zach is an amazing athlete and person!
He sounds absolutely exhausted. Really speaks to the sheer effort he put in. Salute big dog.
Absolute powerhouse and seems so humble with it, that sprint through Chamonix after 100+ miles on course to make sub 20 was just unreal

Great racing man. Gutted you weren’t the first American to win.
One of the grittiest competitors you'll ever see
From now on: Zach 'Headlamp' Miller. Or is it Zach 'Gonna Sprint it' Miller?

You completely whiffed on asking the question on everyone’s lips: what was the deal with eating that banana sideways?!?
Is Zach the guy who likes showering in bottled water?
Thank you sir? Post race confusion.
Sarah lol
