I will root for her in the final, although I have nothing against Aryna - she is a great athlete and tennis player, but usually I support challengers. The final should be interesting with these two great tennis players and athletes.

I completely disagree. It is bad enough that politics interferes in sport without athletes inviting it in. Sport is a way for people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds to compete in spite of the troubles in the world.
It is a way to learn that more unites us than separates us.
Russian athletes have no more say in stopping the war in Ukraine than Ukrainian athletes have.
And sport had nothing to do with ridding South Africa of apartheid.
I would add that since majority rule took over in that country living standards have plummeted and corruption is endemic. The country is an economic basket case and far from coming back from the brink it has slid into an abyss.
