It works for a 2006 Nissan Titan . I don’t know why people are having problems doing it . The only thing you have to make sure you get right is getting it into relearn mode but other than that it’s easy . Thank you

Some other sites and videos gave similar information but yours is the only one that shows the the exact location of the connector in our Sentra, which was indeed taped up out of sight. @5:31 before you start driving do you connect that white connector back or it is disconnected? If disconnected when do you connect it back? In one answer to the similar question you said you never connect it back, it is open port test, but initially it was connected @ 4:14. Thank you for the informative film.
Now after setting tire pressure to that specific psi and resetting tpms do you fill the air back to its recommended psi? (which is usually around 32psi)
So I did this the light went out after driving it then came on due to low pressure, I filled all tires to 33 psi drove 20 miles and the light is still on , but now when you start it up the light doesn’t blink
Plugged paper clip every which way into the tpms and the tirepressure remains solid. Not sure what to do 1. Turn on car 2. Tap 6 times .. 3. No flashing tire symbol

2008 Altima Coupe, this is a no go. Found the white connector taped to the harness, but it has 3 red wires going to it so not sure how to proceed with the grounding function. Possibly 2 of the wires need to be jumped with a clip to ground? Anybody else figured this out that has the 3 wire set up? Checked the owners manual which is useless, they WANT you to be confused so you have to pay someone to do a simple function and I'm a car guy who does all. My 2013 Nissan Rogue does not have the one wire connector in the ECM port. Is there another place the wire is located to ground it out? Is it hardwired into the ECM port? If so which pin would I ground out?

WHAT?! This is ridiculous. Why isn't there a button or selection in a menu? Or it should just go off on its own once the tires are filled up. I'll keep searching for answers as I am not convinced this is the only way to reset the TPMS.
The light will keep blinking until the on-board computer re-learns the sensors. It took me about 25 minutes of driving. Also, the tire pressure has to be completely different on each tire when executing the re-learn process.
Anybody know how to do a 2013 Nissan nv 200 work van? I’ve noticed every one that I get in is like this and I can’t get into the menu or even see the mileage while the light is on. It’s constantly on so it’s a huge pain.
I was able to find the grounding wire on my 2007 Murano without difficulty. I didn't even need to remove the kick plate. However, on my 2010 Murano it is absent. I went as far as removing the kick plate in order to find it. Has Nissan eliminated this interface? If so, what are my cost effective options.
I'm pretty sure they haven't removed it but I could be wrong as I haven't looked on a 2010. Locate the wires/ wire loom that goes to the OBD II port. Most of the newer models have the white connector taped to the wire loom. You may have to cut the tape to find or locate the white plug end. This will pair new sensors with the car or reset the system. If you have a sensor that has a dead battery or a faulty sensor the TPMS light will return. This works for people switching to or from summer or winter wheels. You can locate a shop that has a TMPS tool and it will be able to test the battery level or pull the code. Also be sure to check the air level in the spare tire as the newer cars with a full size spare they added a TPMS sensor into that wheel and that might be causing your light to be on.

I'm just getting back to the task now. I can't believe six months have passed. Regardless, I have a question. I'm not sure; I'm getting the system in relearn mode. In the video; you say the icon will start flashing when it enters relearn mode. Correct? I ask because mine starts flashing as soon as the ignition is turned on. After about a minute it turns solid. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
@@galinstan5603 No problem. When the key is first turned on the tpms light will be flashing. Within 15-20 seconds of turning the key on you'll need to tap that wire to ground 6-10 times or until the tpms light goes solid. Then once its solid tap the connector to ground 1 or 2 times to get it to start flashing again. Then start and drive the car to get the light to go out although it will come back on quickly as the low pressure in the back tire.
Why do we need a tire monitoring sensor system that bothers drives and cannot be reset easily in Nissan Rouge? Fire Stone, Enterprise, Alamo guys don't know how to fix this "smart cars." Man, it's sucks when it's taken over your navigation system from your dashboard while you drive.
They say to alert the driver of a tire with low tire pressure so they can air it up before there is an unsafe driving condition. It wasn't so bad when it was just a small light on the dash. Now like you said they have integrated that and the check engine light so it stops other features of the vehicle or is more in your face as the driver. I'm not sure if its good or bad. It causes people to just rely on the light rather then check there own tire pressure. Kinda like some people relying on the low oil light rather then checking the own oil. I'm also not sure why there are not more places/ shops buying the 200.00 tool to check or reprogram the sensors to get the light to go out. ( i'm sure there some cheaper ones out there) I got this one amzn.to/2J1uH6A when it was on sale. Since we are the only one around that has one the tool or that is fixing the a vehicle with a TMPS light on that thing has more then paid for itself.
There normally taped somewhere along the OBD2 connector wiring sometimes higher up. I have also found them taped up close to the steering shaft on some and on a few I think the maxima they are right under the drivers side heat/ a/c duct and sometimes there taped up pretty good so you can't see the color/ end of the connector.

Did you add the correct tire pressure back into them? Depending on the year you may need to drive the car after you air them back up to reset the light, on the newer ones it does a quick check on start up. Also this is going to pair a new sensor or a different sensor to the car. If you have a bad sensor or a sensor with a dead battery the light will still come on. Some of the newer models also have a "Flat tire warning" If the vehicle is being driven with very low tire pressure, the light will illuminate and the chime will sound for about 10 seconds." that is most likely the beep. Yes, the newer ones with a full size spare normally have a TPMS sensor in them as well. I have seen a few people come in for the light and it was just a matter of airing up the spare tire.

Ya that's nuts. The same tool I use is down to 240.00 now. Takes less then 2 min to tell which sensor is bad or has the dead battery and you can program the new sensor to the car and job done. Maybe a 15 min job total as you need to break down the tire. You can by 4 new sensors for 139.50 and that was me looking quick might be able to find cheaper. amzn.to/2whOtmL . You could buy the sensors install them yourself. Just break the bead on the side with the tire fill/ TPMS sensors. Have someone hold the tire down with a set of tire irons to hold the tire out of the way. amzn.to/2wmKhlH . While there holding down you should be able to remove and install the new TPMS sensor. Let go of the tire irons and then air it up to set the bead and then fill to proper pressure. Repeat on all four wheels and you would have all new sensors and battery's for less. Don't turn the tire as then you will need to balance them if you do. Once you have all the new sensors in the wheels redo whats in the video to pair them with your car.

Its hard to say. Since you say you replaced a broken sensor there is still another fault somewhere in the system. You could have another damaged sensor ( did you have new tires put on recently? sensor could be damaged within the tire where you can't see), also could be a sensor with a dead battery. There is a set of 4 OEM sensors on ebay for just over 35$. So you could buy a complete set swap out the other 3 and try to program yourself or take it to someone who has the tool to read the system and see what the fault is and go from there.

@@barkatali31 The computer on the car can't read the problem / communicate with the new sensors or an actual TMPS tool/ computer can't read the problem/ talk to the sensors?. Is the Tpms light flashing or just on steady? There are two different Hz for sensors. There is a 315mhz and a 433mhz maybe they have the wrong Hz sensors for that car. You may want to read your door tag for the tire pressures and check all tires to ensure they are at that number on the tag and not over inflated or under. The newer direct TPMS systems only allows the psi to be a little bit off over or under before turning on the light and if the shop put the same PSI in all four tires that might be enough to keep the light on.
@@barkatali31 No problem, Glad we could help. So if the light is on steady that indicates that there is a problem with the amount of air in the tires. If the light was always blinking then that would indicate that there is a problem/ fault within the TPMS system. Just remember that the tire pressure on the door tag is a cold PSI so you will want that number in there when the tires are cool/ cold or the car hasn't been used for a while. Its easiest / best to let the car sit over night and check the tire pressure in the morning and set to the number on the door tag. Good luck with getting it figured out. Has anyone tried this on a 2011 Nissan Sentra base model? I recently got new wheels and sensors but the light won’t go off the tire shop I went too couldn’t program it
So I installed new sensors AND tires that are rated to run 50 psi and the stock tires run at 42 psi. I reset the sensors and the light went solid, but won't turn off now. I think the computer simply thinks there's too much psi in the tires. Do I need to get it reprogrammed so it knows it should run at 50 psi now instead of 42?
So you mean to tell me every tire has a different tire pressure. But if you look on the tire all the tires require the same pressure. Wth. How about disconnecting the positive cable for 10 minutes and reconnect it back to reset the computer
This will pair new or different sensors to the cars computer. This will not reset or turn the light off it you have a bad sensor or a sensor with a dead battery.
You can remove the "paper clip or metal part right after you you get the light to blink again after going solid just before you drive the car. You Don't plug the connector back in as it is an open test port and had/ had nothing plugged into the other end.
Followed the steps and after resetting the plug it began to blink like it’s supposed to. Drove for 4 miles and the light never stopped flashing, anyone have that issue
Mine went into relearn but has been solid ever since and won't go back into relearn... ANY IDEAS? Question... On my 2010 Altima mine will not turn off even after my sensor has been replaced. I did this procedure and got to the driving part, the light never turned off, I drove fast, slow for an hour.. I took it to a tire shop, and 1 sensor was bad, they replaced it and programmed the sensor. However the light still hasn't gone off. Now when I try to put it in relearn again the light will not blink, it just stays solid ALL the time, even while I try to tap that wire to ground, and yes, it is a good ground connection. Dealer said it'd be 140$ just to diagnose it which seems nutty just to hook up a scan tool and clear it as that's what seems to be needed... Anyone have any ideas? Weird thing to me it will not go into relearn now, it did once but since then it has had a solid light..

@@chrisbohlman9734 In a way yes, I sold the car lol. Sorry that was my first thought lol but otherwise no. The sensor a tire shop put in was a universal one and either not compatible or it had to be programmed at the dealer or with a specific machine. The machine the tire shop used said it was programmed and I had to drive around a bit. However, it never synced with the car so.. 🤷 That light is annoying but if there is a next time I doubt I'll even mess with it. The batteries in the sensors go out between 8-12 years and it's a cash machine for the dealership. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
@@chrisbohlman9734 coincidentally we also have a 2005 G35. I'm not sure if it has tpms I'm it cause they never have gone off. However, that tire pressure light does go on randomly sometimes, usually happens while on the highway or a longer drive and then goes off eventually. Hope that might help.

I put a black sticky over the light.
There’s a machine they plug it up to but you gotta pay dealership at least 60$
Pay somebody or buy the scanner lol this isn’t even a lot you can reach the wire with out taking all that off just the pocket

Yes, but you don't have to remove right away just ensure it doesn't touch ground again and be sure to remove it when your fully done.

No. This is only if you switch wheels with different sensors or you replace a sensor.

Hi I have Nissan Versa 2015 model Tyre pressure light continue on I change one Sensore whis Damage but still light cannot off what to do please advise me?
Its hard to say. Since you say you replaced a broken sensor there is still another fault somewhere in the system. You could have another damaged sensor ( did you have new tires put on recently? sensor could be damaged within the tire where you can't see), also could be a sensor with a dead battery. There is a set of 4 OEM sensors on ebay for just over 35$. So you could buy a complete set swap out the other 3 and try to program yourself or take it to someone who has the tool to read the system and see what the fault is and go from there.

@@barkatali31 The computer on the car can't read the problem / communicate with the new sensors or an actual TMPS tool/ computer can't read the problem/ talk to the sensors?. Is the Tpms light flashing or just on steady? There are two different Hz for sensors. There is a 315mhz and a 433mhz maybe they have the wrong Hz sensors for that car. You may want to read your door tag for the tire pressures and check all tires to ensure they are at that number on the tag and not over inflated or under. The newer direct TPMS systems only allows the psi to be a little bit off over or under before turning on the light and if the shop put the same PSI in all four tires that might be enough to keep the light on.

@@barkatali31 No problem, Glad we could help. So if the light is on steady that indicates that there is a problem with the amount of air in the tires. If the light was always blinking then that would indicate that there is a problem/ fault within the TPMS system. Just remember that the tire pressure on the door tag is a cold PSI so you will want that number in there when the tires are cool/ cold or the car hasn't been used for a while. Its easiest / best to let the car sit over night and check the tire pressure in the morning and set to the number on the door tag. Good luck with getting it figured out. Has anyone tried this on a 2011 Nissan Sentra base model? I recently got new wheels and sensors but the light won’t go off the tire shop I went too couldn’t program it
The psi must be the number you are giving o can be any other,? These must be different each other.is the most importan?
They will need to be these numbers. You might get away with a pound or maybe even two higher or lower as each tire gauge will read a little different.

Location of wire doesn't apply to 2008 Titan. That panel you say to open doesn't exist and there is nothing that looks like that under the dash.
So I installed new sensors AND tires that are rated to run 50 psi and the stock tires run at 42 psi. I reset the sensors and the light went solid, but won't turn off now. I think the computer simply thinks there's too much psi in the tires. Do I need to get it reprogrammed so it knows it should run at 50 psi now instead of 42?
50 psi seems like a lot haha what do you drive? Most cars are set around 30-35 psi

So you mean to tell me every tire has a different tire pressure. But if you look on the tire all the tires require the same pressure. Wth. How about disconnecting the positive cable for 10 minutes and reconnect it back to reset the computer

This will pair new or different sensors to the cars computer. This will not reset or turn the light off it you have a bad sensor or a sensor with a dead battery.
Six Years Later but hoping,.... Anyone now how to SET the pressure from the programmed values?
When do you take the paper clip out and plug the connector back in....you never mention it.
You can remove the "paper clip or metal part right after you you get the light to blink again after going solid just before you drive the car. You Don't plug the connector back in as it is an open test port and had/ had nothing plugged into the other end.
does anyone know where the connector is in a sentra 2017, look for and cut the rubbers and nothing
Left front and left rear we’re shown on opposite sides of the car.
Followed the steps and after resetting the plug it began to blink like it’s supposed to. Drove for 4 miles and the light never stopped flashing, anyone have that issue

Question... On my 2010 Altima mine will not turn off even after my sensor has been replaced.
I did this procedure and got to the driving part, the light never turned off, I drove fast, slow for an hour.. I took it to a tire shop, and 1 sensor was bad, they replaced it and programmed the sensor. However the light still hasn't gone off. Now when I try to put it in relearn again the light will not blink, it just stays solid ALL the time, even while I try to tap that wire to ground, and yes, it is a good ground connection. Dealer said it'd be 140$ just to diagnose it which seems nutty just to hook up a scan tool and clear it as that's what seems to be needed...
Anyone have any ideas?
Weird thing to me it will not go into relearn now, it did once but since then it has had a solid light..

@@chrisbohlman9734 In a way yes, I sold the car lol. Sorry that was my first thought lol but otherwise no. The sensor a tire shop put in was a universal one and either not compatible or it had to be programmed at the dealer or with a specific machine. The machine the tire shop used said it was programmed and I had to drive around a bit. However, it never synced with the car so.. 🤷 That light is annoying but if there is a next time I doubt I'll even mess with it. The batteries in the sensors go out between 8-12 years and it's a cash machine for the dealership. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
@@chrisbohlman9734 coincidentally we also have a 2005 G35. I'm not sure if it has tpms I'm it cause they never have gone off. However, that tire pressure light does go on randomly sometimes, usually happens while on the highway or a longer drive and then goes off eventually. Hope that might help.
