When he said he's never felt so much love before, I nearly started crying. I think that his low self esteem has a LOT to do with his problems. He doesn't feel like he deserves to have nice things. I hope he can get some counseling and feel better about himself. Everyone deserves to feel loved and cared for.
nothing happen for no reason, I agree with you, this poor man probably had a miserable early life and low self esteem, that is why we should never judge anyone because who knows what happened psychologicaly in their brain to finish with such a low self esteem?
And he's such a sweetheart!
These are some of the most compassionate and helpful comments I've seen when it comes to TV shows like this. This episode and these comments gladden my heart, I enjoyed how the Indian women chided him but got stuck in to help him out. His home was beautiful by the time they and the team had finished.

They stopped filming this show in 2009 I believe. Sadly..Kim & Aggie have been estranged for years
the show ended in 2007--Kim and Aggie wouldn't work together during the last season, and the filming had to be done separately for each of them, with stand-ins filling in for each, then the two filmings put together to make it into one episode. No more show.

It's a mental illness, you can overcome it! Anyone watching this with the same problem, please start by opening your windows and getting a big roll of black bags and do 30 mins in each room...put this programme on or some music and get started!

You can't just snap out of depression. I wish people would understand that. You said your self. It's mental illness. People don't just over come it. We don't know his story. I never said everyone watching had depression. I said it is not that easy to simply snap out of it. That is why it's called an illness. I don't think we have much compassion some times for illness of the brain. Some times .
Some mental illness is actually a chemical imbalance and needs medication. People cant just "overcome it". Ridiculous comment.
Brenda Cowell my understanding of what they said was that baby steps of cleaning and caring for yourself can really help with mental illness. As someone with depression and anxiety I think its very true! Its not snapping out of it, but giving yourself a fighting chance the best you can :)
Half an hour is maybe an overwhelming thought to someone in this situation. Maybe just one small task at a time.

I'm so happy for this man and I do believe that with all of the wonderful cleaning that's been done and the blessing on the house, plus all of the wonderful love and support from the temple he's had his life and his low self esteem turned around*

The narrator on this is called Paul Copely, later on, he was on Life on mars (I think) and he was playing a baddie, it was the state of these horrible houses on this programme, it drove him mad.
My mum is 88 in April and her house is nothing like this. She is always cleaning
