My Dad bought a scout brand new in 1977. The dealership was on 27th ave south of Bethany home road. Probably the same place the original owner of your Scout bout his. My dad had his until he passed in 2001. Lot of memories in our Scout
Very cool scout , I wish mine was in that good of condition before starting, up here in Canada they are pretty rough . We are doing a very similar build . Look forward to seeing some more videos on this build . Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
We are pretty thankful it’s in such good shape too. Scouts are known for rot. Good luck on your build and we’ll be posting progress videos as we go along. Cheers!
I bought a 1978 in similar condition (your body is better) original engine, runs but needs driveability help. I paid $12,500 about 6 months ago. Good luck with the build. It is a great looking Scout II and I like your just the way it is!
@@luckypawsgarage I will be tuning in to see how your goes. Every person who comes to my house and sees the Scout in the garage loves it! They all want to buy it!
@@tysonlarson1294 it is not in original condition anymore. Motor and transmission have been sold. It is LS swapped and is being outfitted with new interior pieces, bumpers and other bits
Since it is somewhat yellow it should have the black "Don't Tread On Me" rattle snake with e meanings behind what it represents as to why they chose a rattle snake.

Looking at the paperwork from our Scout, it came from Powell’s Volvo on North Scottsdale Rd in Tempe Arizona.
Brand new, that Scout 2 would have been rescuing another vehicle. That was a legendary 4WD truck. I was not rich enough to get such a blessing.
Great looking Scout II!
It’s butterscotch!
That's what I was thinking
Looks in great shape

@@nealjohnson1308 I know! We barely had it a day before we got our first offer. They’re great vehicles. We’re excited to get ours built
@@luckypawsgarage The amazing part of your Scout is how perfect the front grill looks. They usually get dinged up.
That is a clean scout! I just found my 76 scout2. What size tire is on the scout currently
What’s your plans for the original drivetrain? Engine, trans and trans case?
The current tires are 31”x10.5”xR15.
@@corysgarage3928 the drivetrain was sold to a local IH enthusiast.
Is Buttercup/Lemon Drop keeping the patina?
Yes. We’ll give it a good protective wax and that’s it.
My pile is yellow, yours is more mustard-y 😉
But definitely not orange
Looks like AZ - Tucson? Phoenix?
Smack in between.
Would you sell this scout?
Not likely. If we do it’ll be after it’s done. Unfortunately there’s someone in line in front of you.
@@luckypawsgarage What's your price you need to have right now. I like them in original condition.

Is it for sale? I would take it that condition.
No it’s not.
