- Sonny just mentioned this scene on the (9/3/2010) episode to the lady in Rome, where Brenda offered to be his mistress back in 1996.

My all time favorite soap coupling. I was in high school when I fell in love with them. I'm still heartbroken that Sonny and Brenda are not end game.

I know that many think she’s obsessive but she’s NOT. She does go a bit overboard but She knows how Sonny feels about her because he told her! That would drive me crazy too. Knowing that the man you love and adore feels the exact same way but is stuck in a marriage of convenience and can cost him his life and yours if he chooses to leave.Their love for each other was challenged numerous times and not ONCE did they ever fall out of that love. They truly are soulmates! Brenda is not a weak girl! Love can make you do things you NEVER THOUGHT you would ever be capable of. She fought for Sonny hard and in ‘97 it showed how every moment while they were apart was worth it. He even said the hardest part of his life was waiting to finally get Brenda back! And he did! Too bad Maurice left and Vanessa stayed. Besides Luke and Laura Sonny and Brenda are the most amazing couple ever on GH!

She was the definition of strong.. every aspect for human emotions and come out on top. Sonny loved Brenda, so much so, even though it felt bad and wrong. He truly didn't want to condemn her to the dangers of his life, even though he couldn't live without her..

Exactly! No obsession more like connection. This man came to her and said, "he loves her and he will always love her" bounced and started moving different. Brenda wanted answers. Nothing about Brenda was weak! In fact she was stronger than Sonny during these times. The fact that allll they have gone through no love was ever lost spoke volumes. Brenda held her own in every situations they faced. They both struggled without each other. Only weakness they had was for each other.
Now that's what I call a triple threat!!! Great Writers, Great actors, And one Beautiful couple!! They suck you right in and when he says I can't let you do that and she starts crying...I'm crying too, I feel the pain!!!! God I miss these days:)

It really stinks for Brenda knowing that he STILL LOVES her but CANT get out of it!! Who wouldn’t get twisted over this situation. Just LOVE them
I love how much they love each other.
This is heartbreaking and the epitome of what Sonny and Brenda were about. When the circumstances wouldn't allow them to be together; they were still drawn to each other. At the start of this scene, it was like this big weight was lifted off of Sonny's shoulders when he nodded that he still loved her. For Sonny to forgive and get past the wire and still admit that he was still in love with her. That was huge and showed how much he loved and respected her by not allowing her to be his mistress.

Whose daydream was this Sonny's or Brenda's??? They love each other on a level that doesn't need any explanation. Brenda did what she felt was in her heart at the time. You can't tell your heart when to love and when to stop loving. There was no way Sonny would allow Brenda to be his mistress. He loves her too much! He could never be with her in secret. I understand why Brenda made a bold move you CAN'T tell your heart to simply stop beating. #TheSTRUGGLEisREAL #NOLIMITLOVE

It was both. All this time they have been thinking about each other separately, at different times, now they are both on the same page and want to get back together at the same time. It's a transition.
@dymin. I always thought it was Sonny's just because how he walked up on her and stared off into dreamland. He comes to and she notices he was standing there. But reading one the comments ( a shared daydream) I never thought about. I like it.

***** i never seen maurice look at any of his costars they put him with except vanessa its like he cant get enough of her i also think thats why they put maurice with lily a cool down time you know what i mean there was no reason in this world they should broke snb up they where a supercouple that brought home the bacon to gh people tuned in to see what kinda stuff brenda was going to do to sonny that wire scene was a way to get the viewer to stop liken brenda but it didnt work it back fired on gh cause the fans fell more in love with snb look at what is being said here they hate lily like i do i belive they really do have feeling for each other i still think they have that kinda feelings going on now

I'm so for Brenda on this!...I'm such a S&B fan that I would have taken it any kind of way as long as they are together holding each other and loving one another....even if it is jacked up they have to sneak around! That was Maurice and Vanessa 10000% they let them take the tv relationship where they wanted bc they had something so intense going on bts. It’s clear M&V loved each other and she wanted him to leave his wife. Ik people say it’s creepy to talk about the actors lives but cmon how can you not it’s human intuition and observation. This was her LOW point!! Begging him to be his mistress just so she can be with him.
At what point does she beg? She offered/suggested to be his Mistress so that they BOTH wouldn't have to feel so broken inside. I wouldn't say it was a "low" point because she is not offering for sex, but for love. Her heart can't help what it wants.
@@MyDymin Say That! Her soul ached for him. You cant shut that stuff off especially with her knowing the reason they couldnt be together. Had Sonny cheated or chose Lily over Brenda the scene would have had a different meaning. If that was the case then yes it was a low point. It meant he didnt want her and we know that's not the case.

You are so right it would have been different if Brenda was offering to be some sidepiece. After this Sonny simply could not live without Brenda anymore and decided to leave L**L**. He was willing to catch a body bag before he let Brenda be his mistress.

Not as passionate as snb no but there were grat supercouples like Frisco FeliCa Robert and holly Anna and duke and of course Luke and Laura. Brenda and jax were good also . GH currently does not have any good couples any more not like these amazing supercouples of the 80s and 90s .

True love is never degrading. Sonny and Brenda loved each other. Sonny was forced to choose between going to prison or marrying Lilly. My heart breaks for Sonny and Brenda because they truly were in love.
