I'm pretty sure almost everybody died at the start of the stage their first time. Especially since the first pit appears before the READY goes away. "READY" *Dies* No game, I was not ready.
I beat it, but I still haven't gotten the armor piece. Capcom's "minecart" stages are either fun or terrible. There's like, no in-between with these people.

You know, it really should have taken them about 5 seconds of playtesting this level to know that maybe, just maybe, having the word "READY" in giant letters across the screen while you're supposed to be crossing a deadly pit in high speed isn't the way to go.
Wow, Alia coming in after the bike segment to explain EXACTLY what the visual cues expressed is a real killjoy, isn't it? X5 and X6 (iirc) really did that too much. Less is more, especially when the visuals already rock!
X8 has the option to turn off navigation altogether, and if you do pick a navigator, they all do different things depending on their specialty. If only we could've had these options back then!
I hate the bike part at the start ugh so much game overs there trying to get all the blue energy balls to shoot the wall. Great job dodging all those moving electric traps. 7:03 that was really close there could have taken damage.
00:30-00:34 are the trouble points for me Destroy the explosive walls and go fast . Tried many times but the always i fail. my probability of passing that part is 1/100. Thats why i hate this stage . Ride chaser sections are lifted from x4 and have no changes . Switches may be tedious for some but i enjoy them . Aside from adding a layer of puzzle solving they are hard too. Other massive gripes are :- The pink big enemy which looks like ride armor takes too much hits to kill. its a bullet sponge. And those electric pink spheres are disturbing instead of challenging. X7 although considered as a disgrace by many, l like the ride chaser stage of x7 better than x5 . At least it had bombs,rescue,turns and more platforming than x5's ride chaser section I meant ride chaser section only . The platforming part of squid adler stage is okay. Never got those blue spheres to open the door . Did you acquire those blue spheres ???
My bikes dash doesnt last nearly as long as yours does. I hit dash at the same spot as you do and where you make it past everything to the tunnel, i fall into the hole before the small platform before the tunnel. What am i missing here? Same as in the tunnel when you dash through those exploding tubes, im way short as that spot too.
You'll probably get fucked up in Squid Alder's stage because of the very first part of the level. It looks easy to dodge in the vid, but trust me, a lot of people bitched out with that part for a rather unusual reason.....
I always hated the boss of this stage more than the stage itself. Death Presses were always jokes to kill, Spark Gunners are more of a nuisance than a threat and the switches aren't that bad to handle. However, after seeing you do this with the Fourth Armor with no trouble, I am beginning to see it all depends on your movements. It also doesn't help I am more of a Zero user in X4+ than I am X.
haha. no dude, the sparks dont cause damage when they begin to dissipate. i specifically remember this because i considered myself lucky as hell to not get hit here, and have to restart stage so close to beating him. i was surprised too. its luck, not hacks man. but believe what u want.

You have to hold down the dash button to go further, and I think if you jump right before you dash it goes a bit further not sure though
