  • In this video, I fix and engine misfire P0306 on a 2003 Cadillac Deville with the 4.6 V8 engine. These engines are known for having bad coil packs that fail, so I got a coil pack at the junkyard. After replacing the coilpack, the misfire improved, but I was sill getting a P0300 and eventually a P0306. So we decided to pull out the fuel injectors and found out that the 4 front injectors were clogged. We replaced them with new injectors and our misfire was gone.

White coil pack is in the front and the black coil pack in the rear. I've been told that they are not interchangeable? What do you say?

They are different part numbers, so I'd say that's accurate

How difficult is dealing with the 1,3,5,7 coil pack & spark plugs ? (Bank 2 ?).
Being near the firewall, it seems like there would be clearance issues. Is it easier than it looks ?

Not impossible. But take significantly more time

@@THUNDERWORX "I'll bet you have already finished the job" - I did thanks. The gooseneck pipe wasn't a big deal, I stayed patient & went slow so I didn't drop the two little bits. The hard part was the overly tight spark plugs I encountered (ended up that water must have gotten by the rubber boots causing some rust)! - Again, going slow and making sure I didn't go cockeyed with the socket as I progressively applied more & more force to finally get the two offending plugs to break loose (phew ! - I really had a fear that I'd snap the plug in half & leave it in the aluminum head). New rubber boots are definitely a necessity when changing out your plugs, plus, I added a dab of anti-seize to each OEM plug. Gently torqueing them in, so me or the next 'guy' doesn't have to go through the fear of plug breakage...

If you’re good with the PARTS CANNON, WHY use a OBD2 code reader?
