  • Navigating the "liminal spaces" that occur in our lives-times that require decisions and/or actions to either move forward or simply remain static-is both challenging and threatening to most individuals. Empathetic support from those around us to embrace and navigate these liminal spaces is essential for growth and development. Still writing the chapters of her life, Marilyn has crossed many thresholds-explored her liminal spaces-and spend some time stuck in oscillation. She has been a seeker, a learner, a companion to others and a bystander. Her current work takes her across the country and world working with people who believe in leading efforts to make the workplace and their communities better places. She simply offers to be a guide at their side. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
