Thankyou Androcat, as always brilliant filming. F23 shows that she is super smart as well as super tough. Instead of flying straight from the nest, and possibly harming eggs in the dark, she did a perfect military manoeuvre. She hopped to the attic, giving herself distance and height over her opponent. Then a huge lunge, wings out and talons up. The job was done with the minimum of fuss, and F was able to resume incubating. Just superb work from both M and F. This lady is truly something else, M chose very well.

Oh wow, that was some daring intruder. F23 did some power move to kick intruder out of nest. Certainly glad this dangerous situation ended with no injuries. M15 arrived in time to keep intruder from returning ti nest. Good job by both.

Terri Stauffer. That was a great move by F23 to boot the intruder from above. A nest scuffle could be disastrous. I was happy M15 came in and roosted! 🦅🦅

The young eagle became insolent but F23 is brave and bold. Well done. Thanks a lot for your video!❤

What a great couple, they have all the right moves for these intruders!
F23 is a real warrior towards the bad guys!
M15 is right there supporting her!
God Bless these terrific parents to be.

@pumpupjam9648. F23 did a fantastic job! There is a dense population here, so we know we will see this every season. 🙁

Goodness gracious F23 showed us her brilliance! Got above the intruder and used two feet to eject. Curious why the intruder landed in the nest at night. Looking for a place to roost perhaps and saw an opportunity for food. Maybe F23 was hiding a fishy! Was not after the eggs obviously; seemed to be looking at them when F23 went to the attic but didn’t go near. Mighty M to the scene to protect. A very intense evening for both. Thank you very much Androcat. 💙🦅🦅💙

@PriscillaD225. YW 🙂. No telling what the subadult intruder was thinking, but F23’s message was loud and clear. I am just so relieved it worked out with all safe. 💙🦅🦅💙

Ooooh very scary moment, this was one brave sub adult jumping anywhere near F23 and those eggs.
F23 showed her loyal protection to her precious babies and gave that intruder a good two footer and M15 didn't waste time once he heard her sos calls.
Strange that intruder flying by so late, i do hope it is ok and found a safe place to roost. It just needs to stay clear of this nest
Brilliant video Androcat, also great news about the first pip.
    Thank you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@diane9501. YW 🙂. I am confident the subadult is fine. It took a good two-footed kick, then flew out fine. It probably scared the subadult more than it hurt. Hopefully the intruder got the message. 🦅🦅

I think M15 should sleep closer to the nest. F did a lot of yelling before M got there. She did do a great move to get into an attack angle.

@carolfriess3225. We would all like to see M15 roost in the nest tree, like he used to do. Hopefully that will start happening again this season. Did you watch Season 11 in it’s entirety, by chance? F23 did great!

@sandy89107. Before I type out an in-depth explanation of M15's behavior, did you happen to watch Season 11 in it's entirety?

Thank you for this , but I must say I’m surprised M15 didn’t come sooner. But he did and don’t mess with ma’am 😅

@Laura-dolphinfan. YW 🙂. It’s depends on where he roosts whether he hears her or not. He finally did, apparently. 🙏🏻💙

Why would intruder land on the nest? 🤔

    • @androcat12
      @androcat12  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

@ceegee777. Only the intruder knows why. It’s not unusual to see an immature eagle fly in to roost with others. It was a bit late for an arrival, so perhaps it was flushed off the spot where it was roosting, IDK. Owls are out at night and will flush or strike eagles roosting in their territory.
