I love that you're big on edicate. I get ditched soooo often when I do my dungeon runs, purely because my movement just isn't high enough. It's so annoying. Any time I see my pairs have early gear on, I'm very careful to not run ahead on them and basically act as support and back up dps for them. We're supposed to run as a team, not treat it like a relay race to the finish, and it's always nice to land other players who seem followed that logic.
Great video. However, instead of using the Zen Exchange to move your AD, you could just deposit them in your shared bank. It's easier, and a lot less time consuming. Admittedly, I park alts outside the bank, and run randoms from there so I can quickly move the AD. For VIPs, they can just summon a banking portal.
This was an excellent strategy before the random dungeon queue changes in mod 14 were you can now only get the bonus once per account per day. I also used to run 10 alts through randoms a day (dungeon only not skirm as didn't have the time) as I didn't yet have a char fit for tong/cradle. You should consider making an updated guide for low/mid geared chars for Mod 14+. Was hoping to find a nice video to post in guild forums for newer players (I just farm cradle and salvage now).
So if I am understanding what you said. You can only do 1 dungeon for rewards per account and not per character now? Or is it only AD that you can get per account now?

I found this very helpful will be doing it come in a month or two with the wife, as after her 3 strokes that trail to quests an where to turn in really helps her and helps her feel more independent. I want to ask at this point @Josh did you know you would branch out an want to cover other mmo's and give your take on them? :). Oh and miss the face cam why did you stop? Don't feel bad I never get any good gear from dungeons, skirmishes, or enchanted lockboxes. And if I try to refine an enchantment it always seems to cost me a ton of preservation wards. 30% chance to refine enchantment usually takes me at least 10 pres wards. As usual great content and great info.

only been playing 2 weeks and thought all the bonus in dungeons was from doing hourly prayers or invoking in campfires ? also get a ton of role bonus AD when running a tank simply by always being surrounded by enemy and slugging it out face to face ? role bonus is extra 2400 - 2500 per dungeon as well as 600 or 800 new player bonus ? thought all of this was from invoking ? I would Que up a dungeon immeditely after each invoke at camp fire ?
sadly, im not a fan of PUGs. too many assholes out there give attitude if you dont play exactly right. oh and i managed to get lucky on the market. i sold 1100 zen for 750 AD per coin and got over 800k diamonds. took me a few days to find the "withdraw" button, though. i hadnt watched this video yet :P

only been playing 3 weeks and find it impossible to buy zen with astral diamonds using the exchange .. put up 75000 ad for 100 zen and sat on exchange for days and no one traded period is there a glitch in the market utility or is there simply no one buying AD using zen ? must you hope and prey someone with a platinum card starts the game and is clueless and decides to buy AD with zen ?
Some one know why if I run a 12+ random queude whit a character (toon) that I create like 2 year ago (DC) I get 8k diamons but if I do the same with another character (a toon to) I onlye get 1k I create this few weeks ago

I started playing like 3-4wks ago on mod16 and this may have been changed or needs to be updated. With all your characters you can run a dungeon at levelling/intermediate/advanced for a 1 time PER account daily bonus of AD. But if someone tries to do it like you did using a different character on the same account it only gives you a replay AD bonus(10%?) for the same tier random dungeon. So even though im level 80 atm because I need very high ilevel to access the highest tiers of random dungeons (which ppl probably dont do on random anyways b/c pugs), most ppl can only do the one levelling and intermediate per day/per account (this is the 1st mmo ive seen doing this, every other ive played gives you the full daily bonus per character not per account). Doing multiple runs like you showed on this video is discouraged by the new mod16 because second, third, forth etc run through of a dungeon that you did on a different character on the same account is only awarded like 10% of the full daily bonus.
Skirmishes give less AD than dungeons but are much quicker to complete. With this said, let's supoose you want an orange mount, for the added speed, the added 4000 stats and so on. On PC the cheapest is around 6 Millions AD. If you have four toons and play one hour per day (which is already a lot) you can probably not complete four dungeons, because there are other things to do than farming AD (farming Influence for your guild, for instance) which will give you maybe 30k AD. That's seven months of savings just for one mount. Will the bug-infested, D&D-betraying ,content-devoid, NWO game still exist by then?
If you hit max refinement of 36k daily and consistently in 167 days rounded up you will have enough to buy that 6mil mount. That is also assuming you do not spend AD on anything what so ever.
To add to this the new cap of 100k per account rather than character assuming the mounts price remains the same and that you can consistently reach the 100k daily cap will take 60 days.

why do this?? Everyone in the game has a BANK that is shared throughout your ACCOUNT. Just put the Astr D in the bank, then withdraw it with whatever toon you want
After mod 15 released, I literally have RAD coming out of my ears. Hopefully, instead of harassing Josh for making an extremely helpful video that happens to be a bit outdated, make dungeon keys, claim your VIP re-rolls, run 4 or 5 dungeons and BOOM! 100k!
Thanks for the tips, i have looked on at least a half dozen methods for making tons of AD and not one mentioned the simple means of doing random dungeons. Everyone wants to buy and sell on the market, which is no guarantee. this method wont get me rich, but it is as you say, consistent, and thats what matters.

How is it possible I went from level 1 to 70 in about 5 days . Just by questing on mass each area done in about 30 min to 1 hour depending on other players . I never did any lower dungeons unless it was the first time . Then quickly moved to the next area . Rinse and repeat . All the way to 70 . Level 68 -69 70 was the slowest . About 12 hours in total . Just doing boons now that seems to take forever . Unless I'm just not doing them right .
Boons is time gated content. So it will take lots of time to get all the boons. Especially since there's multiple campaigns. However you can also purchase campaign tokens to skip the campaigns. However I very strongly recommend actually doing the campaigns on your first character and skip on other toons. Campaigns are a slow grind and take your time to get to know them. But don't be afraid to ask some questions when you get stuck, because sometimes the quest pathing gets bugged and it's a struggle to find correct location.
Hey, great Josh, but there are some things you have missed which are actually important: completing every day invokes on a toon guarantees you around 3.6k bonus AD. Weekly quests in Sharandar, Dread Ring, Well of Dragons, Underdark, Icewind Dale and from the Harpers, guarantees you 4.5k AD each, wich you can complete on all of your toons. Another easy but time consuming way to make AD is professions, with Leadership for istance, you can craft Artifact Paraphernalia, Resonant Bag and Enchanted Coffer, best way to profit from this way is to craft these bags on all of your toons, keep them until the event Enchantments x2 pops and open them all, then sell all the enchantments when the price will go back up. Good luck

I experienced the higher level ruining the dungeon for me though it was funny the two people who were with me one was a little lower then me an the other was 19 (actual lvl 70) an I got quite a few level 70 gear dunno if that's normal or if it's randomly generated

I don't really know, but this trick do not work with me. If I run the dungeon first time with my main char I get full AD but if I change to a second char and want to run the same I'll just get a small amount of AD.
Id rather just buy zen and sell for AD lol. The time it takes me to make $10 in real life is significantly less than the time it would take me to farm 500k ad. I would get super burnt out on the game trying to farm like this every day
same problem, dont know if the problem is that im low level or because im on ps4. furthermore i have two character but when i do the random queue in one and then switch i found the random queue already done

THIS GUIDE/VIDEO is now obsolete as I just did one of those dungeons and no longer is AD fragments given so AD has been nerfed. If there is no way to earn AD in this game now then I am uninstalling it.

I started when Chult was the newest mod and the class selection and available play styles for each class were way too limited and it felt like the developers were saying "You have to play this kind of character this way." Now, the Paragon system is hardly ideal, but with the option to choose your powers and feats and whatnot, there is variety in available options. It has changed, but I say for the better. I would not have lasted a year if I had stuck with it as it was before Undermountain.
@@JoshuaRWorkman I kinda disagree with the first part of what u said saying that the devs forced u to play the way they wanted, for example pre mod 16 the paladin could tank, heal, buff, and dps now after mod 16 it only tanks and heals, solo play with paladin is hell as u are constantly raising ur shield and doing no damage because ur powers are very weak
People don't like the changes brought by Undermountain because they introduced the need to choose whether to do one thing or the other for each class and doing so stripped their ability to do everything or killed their build or whatever. I ask you, is World of Warcraft after all its expansions the same exact game as it was when it first launched? No. That's why Blizzard made Warcraft Classic, for the people who want it how it used to be before all the expansions changed everything. Neverwinter is no different, minus the Classic version obviously. Final Fantasy XIV is younger still and Squenix had to kill the original game and bring it back, changing almost everything with A Realm Reborn because a lot of people hated how it originally was. That's not what happened with Neverwinter, but you get my point. As I said, the Paragon system is hardly ideal, so I'll give you that Paladins were more versatile before, but at least you have options to tailor your Paragon Path's role to a play style that suits you. For example, my primary character is a Hunter Ranger whose focus is on using Grasping Roots to immobilize enemies that are not immune to that, poisoning them with Wererat's Discipline and Tomb Spider's Instincts when they proc, and mowing down mobs with Rapid Volley. Fairly simple setup, happens to work. Is it the absolute best Hunter Ranger build ever? I don't really know, but if my numbers on the scoreboard after the queue is anything to go by, I'd say I've found my niche.
*Josh Strife Hayes* Your character is level *70* and that's your definition of a _mid-range_ or _new_ player? I don't know about you, but _my_ idea of a *new* player is level 1 to 10 (maybe level 15) and I'm not sure what a mid-range player would, although I do have a level 43 CW, is that mid-range? So, how do we new and *real* mid-range players make Astral Diamonds? ;-)
when this video was made, this is also possible for any player with access to the random queue, as you'll likely get a level 70 in the random group who will speed run the dugeons for you. unfortunately due to updates this guide no longer works :(
Well even running for the astral diamonds through daily bonuses is something you can start doing at about lvl 15. It was still viable at 70 as well but I am unsure if there are more efficient methods for lvl 70s
I made around 20k AD today just by doing dungeons, and I'm playing Ravenloft/warlock 29lvl. I never end up finishing the dungeon or even be in the end with my party as they always pair me with some 70lvl or 60lvl clearing the whole dungeon by him/herself.
I must be doing something really wrong. I'm at 65 and can't do crap. I saw a Rogue kill a dragon in Ebom solo.. I tried and couldn't get the bar to move at all.

why do this?? Everyone in the game has a BANK that is shared throughout your ACCOUNT. Just put the Astr D in the bank, then withdraw it with whatever toon you want

After mod 15 released, I literally have RAD coming out of my ears. Hopefully, instead of harassing Josh for making an extremely helpful video that happens to be a bit outdated, make dungeon keys, claim your VIP re-rolls, run 4 or 5 dungeons and BOOM! 100k!
Thanks for the tips, i have looked on at least a half dozen methods for making tons of AD and not one mentioned the simple means of doing random dungeons. Everyone wants to buy and sell on the market, which is no guarantee. this method wont get me rich, but it is as you say, consistent, and thats what matters.

How is it possible I went from level 1 to 70 in about 5 days . Just by questing on mass each area done in about 30 min to 1 hour depending on other players . I never did any lower dungeons unless it was the first time . Then quickly moved to the next area . Rinse and repeat . All the way to 70 . Level 68 -69 70 was the slowest . About 12 hours in total . Just doing boons now that seems to take forever . Unless I'm just not doing them right .
Boons is time gated content. So it will take lots of time to get all the boons. Especially since there's multiple campaigns.
However you can also purchase campaign tokens to skip the campaigns. However I very strongly recommend actually doing the campaigns on your first character and skip on other toons.
Campaigns are a slow grind and take your time to get to know them. But don't be afraid to ask some questions when you get stuck, because sometimes the quest pathing gets bugged and it's a struggle to find correct location.

Honestly, just focus on the main story and level up more, you'll unlock dungeons as you gain levels.
Hey, great Josh, but there are some things you have missed which are actually important: completing every day invokes on a toon guarantees you around 3.6k bonus AD. Weekly quests in Sharandar, Dread Ring, Well of Dragons, Underdark, Icewind Dale and from the Harpers, guarantees you 4.5k AD each, wich you can complete on all of your toons. Another easy but time consuming way to make AD is professions, with Leadership for istance, you can craft Artifact Paraphernalia, Resonant Bag and Enchanted Coffer, best way to profit from this way is to craft these bags on all of your toons, keep them until the event Enchantments x2 pops and open them all, then sell all the enchantments when the price will go back up. Good luck

I experienced the higher level ruining the dungeon for me though it was funny the two people who were with me one was a little lower then me an the other was 19 (actual lvl 70) an I got quite a few level 70 gear dunno if that's normal or if it's randomly generated

I don't really know, but this trick do not work with me. If I run the dungeon first time with my main char I get full AD but if I change to a second char and want to run the same I'll just get a small amount of AD.

Id rather just buy zen and sell for AD lol. The time it takes me to make $10 in real life is significantly less than the time it would take me to farm 500k ad. I would get super burnt out on the game trying to farm like this every day
It's certainly true on PC, where 1 zen is now worth 750 ADs and no longer 500 like in this video.

THIS GUIDE/VIDEO is now obsolete as I just did one of those dungeons and no longer is AD fragments given so AD has been nerfed. If there is no way to earn AD in this game now then I am uninstalling it.

Mod 16 ruined the combat and a lot of other things in this game, combat is extremely slow and weak

I started when Chult was the newest mod and the class selection and available play styles for each class were way too limited and it felt like the developers were saying "You have to play this kind of character this way." Now, the Paragon system is hardly ideal, but with the option to choose your powers and feats and whatnot, there is variety in available options. It has changed, but I say for the better. I would not have lasted a year if I had stuck with it as it was before Undermountain.
@@JoshuaRWorkman I kinda disagree with the first part of what u said saying that the devs forced u to play the way they wanted, for example pre mod 16 the paladin could tank, heal, buff, and dps now after mod 16 it only tanks and heals, solo play with paladin is hell as u are constantly raising ur shield and doing no damage because ur powers are very weak
People don't like the changes brought by Undermountain because they introduced the need to choose whether to do one thing or the other for each class and doing so stripped their ability to do everything or killed their build or whatever. I ask you, is World of Warcraft after all its expansions the same exact game as it was when it first launched? No. That's why Blizzard made Warcraft Classic, for the people who want it how it used to be before all the expansions changed everything. Neverwinter is no different, minus the Classic version obviously. Final Fantasy XIV is younger still and Squenix had to kill the original game and bring it back, changing almost everything with A Realm Reborn because a lot of people hated how it originally was. That's not what happened with Neverwinter, but you get my point. As I said, the Paragon system is hardly ideal, so I'll give you that Paladins were more versatile before, but at least you have options to tailor your Paragon Path's role to a play style that suits you. For example, my primary character is a Hunter Ranger whose focus is on using Grasping Roots to immobilize enemies that are not immune to that, poisoning them with Wererat's Discipline and Tomb Spider's Instincts when they proc, and mowing down mobs with Rapid Volley. Fairly simple setup, happens to work. Is it the absolute best Hunter Ranger build ever? I don't really know, but if my numbers on the scoreboard after the queue is anything to go by, I'd say I've found my niche.

I don't know about you, but _my_ idea of a *new* player is level 1 to 10 (maybe level 15) and I'm not sure what a mid-range player would, although I do have a level 43 CW, is that mid-range? So, how do we new and *real* mid-range players make Astral Diamonds? ;-)
when this video was made, this is also possible for any player with access to the random queue, as you'll likely get a level 70 in the random group who will speed run the dugeons for you. unfortunately due to updates this guide no longer works :(
Well even running for the astral diamonds through daily bonuses is something you can start doing at about lvl 15. It was still viable at 70 as well but I am unsure if there are more efficient methods for lvl 70s
I made around 20k AD today just by doing dungeons, and I'm playing Ravenloft/warlock 29lvl. I never end up finishing the dungeon or even be in the end with my party as they always pair me with some 70lvl or 60lvl clearing the whole dungeon by him/herself.
