    So, uh yeah I spent about $450 on neverwinter at the end of last year and it cost me my marriage so, that's how much it costs in 2024.

    Been playing this game since it came out 11 years ago. Best advice is to just spend money on VIP and then play the game. Work with your guild. This game is for the patient and not for instant gratification.❤

    Bottom line, don't give them any money. Every 10 days you will have enough astral diamonds to buy one month worth of VIP. If you are a new player, you are better off grinding your way through all of the campaigns so that you learn how to play your character. The last thing you want to do is buy item level and jump into endgame content, players are going to know pretty quickly if you bought your item level or if you earned it

    Hi there'
    I only upgraded one of my character's to celestial but i havent run anything since new mod came out. I have the resources, consumables etc but the game not longer fun, no longer challenging. I dont find one single reason to play it anymore. I tried selling my consumables thousands of squash soups (60+) all event foods etc. Companion choice packs (spined dev, tutor acc etc). All kind of stuff but not planning to come back to the game to be honest.
    Definitely your calculations are accurate for some of us that been or played the game since day 1 maybe we didn't have to spend crazy amout of money I probably spent like 60 to 80 over the years.

      People here are exaggerating honestly. You can play for free, i have a lot of friends who do so. Also buying just vip is already pretty good and not that expensive, you may consider it like paying the subscription, because obviously game needs money to be alive

Its about 125% or do, more cost, lets say everything is about 100% more, still Xbox price for converting Zen to AD wins, and sorry for my bad english, Hope u understand

    Sounds about right. Baby Zariel on pc spent about $1500 to get his character end game. He was still short of some items. I have 4 endgame characters. Only spent $10 at start to get vip. I watched a lot of vids on how and where to spend my resources to save or maximize ad. They helped alot. It took me about a year and a half though to be truly outfitted w fully blown maxed out gear. It took time but it was fun. Running dungeons and selling items. Granted it was a bit easier back then to grind for items that really made ad. That jhesiyra's set made me so much ad. Also creating the wonders gond packs. Made millions making those. Now, not to many item to grind for and make ad. Master tiamat set still makes good ad. Gg great vid. Keep it up.

    Hi, well in theory you could play NW and even get to the endgame without paying a cent. In practice, however, everyone sooner or later buys Zen using real money. I do it to pay for the VIP, I don't convert the ad's into zen because I don't have very many ad's and I prefer to keep the ones I have to buy stuff from the AH. It depends on how many hours you can invest in the game, my average is 7 hours a week.

  • @GlennElliottKeller

    So basically you need to get almost as much AD as player cap to max out. And that’s doing it “cheaply”.
    Wow.

    • @nerdError0XF
      @nerdError0XF 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What do you mean? Whats "player cap"? There is only a cap for converting AB to AD - 100K in a day. But if you actually play the game you would get stuff that you can sell, and its not capped by any means. So you can get much more AD in a day than those 100K convertion cap

    • @GlennElliottKeller
      @GlennElliottKeller 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That 1000 days also doesn’t factor in that you will need to spend diamonds on scrolls of life and healing stones, which slows you down from saving.
      Thinking about the game this way makes you realize that certain classes were better for doing content while undergeared and under upgraded because they naturally did more damage, so then nerfing them would slow people’s f2p progress down a little.

    • @nerdError0XF
      @nerdError0XF 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GlennElliottKeller you only really need scrolls for top content, and still you barely use them if you do everything correctly. if you have to spend them a lot then your party is just not good enough anyway. healing stones i also got tons of for free, and even then i mostly just using healing potions buyable with gold and its fine

    • @GlennElliottKeller
      @GlennElliottKeller 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nerdError0XF you’re missing my point. I’m just saying that spending 1000 days saving AD is only made worse by other mandatory ongoing costs for convenience which will cost you some extra AD as you’re already busy saving.
      Player AD cap is 100 million, and it costs you 97 million. That’s what I’m saying.

    I played this game for 5 years with 8k hours in it. I tanked, healed and DPS'd. Yeah, we spend good money on getting our characters up to end game, but what sucked is every time NW comes out with a new release, your spending that money again. My only regret, was not leaving this game earlier. I loved this game at one point. Loved the friendships made, but spent a shit ton of money lol after watching this video, I'm just gonna kinda stay gone lol
    Question: why are people farming Tyrant?

  • @richardpool9970
    @richardpool9970 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Firstly, it's always nice to see content relating to Neverwinter and there is some useful guidance in your video however I have several issues with the overall message in your video.
    I'd never subscribe to the idea of paying to max out a character or character(s) as much as possible from day 1. It's a bit sad that you kind of only introduce the fact you can make Astra Diamonds (AD) every day in the last 5-6 minutes of your video when most people have probably tuned out. If you were to play the game for one year, join a good alliance, get some advice how to play the market (auction house) you could make half the money you'd need in 1 year. During that one year you'll learn to play different classes to the point where you can actually do end game content and contribute. People don't need to beg for free stuff or be carried through content if they spend a bit of time learning the games and more importantly deciding if they actually like it. IMHO most people who enjoy the game and dedicate the time can get through 90% of the content in 6 months and maybe spend like $100 if they want to skip some campaigns but I'd only recommend this for alts as you'll miss storylines. I've spent $100 on the game and I've been playing for nearly 6 years.

    • @nerdError0XF
      @nerdError0XF 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Exactly my thoughts. Im a new player. I played for 6+ months actively, donated mostly for vip and on sales, and i can already do most of the game content, only missing top-tier master dungeons
      Video should be called "how much it costs to skip all content in neverwinter" and i dont really understand who will actually be interested in this, outside of rare weirdos who just wanna jump straight into endgame with money

I still have all my insignias at orange level, i still have most of my collars purple, a few at orange, and all that i got just by playing anyway. Only thing i really focused on was echantments, and yes i had spent some money on them and buying VIP, but its like 5-10% of the money she counted.
