Trail Boss seems like the sweet spot trim that offers the most bang for your buck (Like last gen TRD Offroad Tacoma). Just wish it offered LED lights and STANDARD cruise control (Sorry TFL Andre).
One of the biggest things for the 23' in my opinion was the lack of a full size instrument panel, i'm glad to see the 24' has a full screen panel now to!
Oh my God, go sit back down in your rocking chair. Hey.. there's this thing... it's called inflation... and it's something that your gov't does to the money supply in the country. They keep pumping out money at a faster rate than goods and services are pumped out. This results in higher prices because you have more money chasing fewer goods/services. And no, higher prices are not caused by "greed." This is the explanation of a 4 year old with a mental disorder.
Compared to the current market yes it’s a good price, but this is just getting out of hand. These manufacturers are really taking the piss out of the consumer. 41 grand in general for this truck is insane.
Don’t worry, the price will drop to 40k with 50k miles after the dealership finesses some young kid into buying it with these ridiculous interest rates
This is a desirable truck that I would actually buy. It falls into that sweet spot of ‘everything I need, nothing I don’t’. But I wonder how much more profit GM makes by not including a dampened tailgate. C’mon man.
I bought my Trail Boss two months ago. I paid about 43 for it. It has a soft open tail gate, storage in the tail gate, and is a beautiful Radiant Red. It's more maroon then red, but I love it. My biggest complaint about it was the fact that all of the trim on the Trail Boss was black, but the Colorado emblems were chrome. Why? Oh wait, I know why....so people like me who notice this kind of thing will spend more money with GM. I bought the black Colorado logos and I also bought the black CHREVROLET letters for the tailgate! GAME CHANGER. Truck looks so much better with the upgrade!!!! I have owned a lot of vehicles in my day but I have never had more compliments on any of them like I have had on my new Colorado! More accessories to come!!!
I really like the Colorado trail boss but the lack of “cold weather package” (heated seats, mirrors, steering wheel and remote start) is what kills this for me. I live in buffalo and winter is just so damn cold but the increased ride height would be great in the snow. Hopefully the 2025 gets cold weather package option
I was pretty sold on this truck until I started watching some of the new Ranger reviews this morning... now I'm not so sure. That new Ford is a heck of a truck.
I had an 18 Z71 with the 3.6. For 41k it should have leds, a meaty v6 and less plastic. Also, the headlight controls on the screen are a massive mistake.
The 2.7 has significantly more power and low end torque. I am Not sure what you mean by a meaty V6. This is a lot of truck for the money, In this market.
How do you get vinyl seats on the Colorado trail boss I just ordered one and it just arrived at the dealership and I had to pay for leather seats because there was no vinyl option just cloth or leather
@@VictorRodriguez-bp7ixsad but true. I was a lifetime chevy guy but I bought a frontier. The frontier is a quirky truck but seems solid. My 2016 silverado was the best truck I ever owned, the new stuff is junk.
Halogen bulbs for 40k? No heated or ventilated seats? No dampened tailgate? I found one of these with 1300 miles for 36k and was seriously considering picking it up, but good god this thing is a joke. Also, next time show the rear under seat storage…
Tacoma looks nicer imo but I do agree the price is a little high. I ordered a Tacoma off road premium truck and looking forward to it other than the price. Im in no way a fan boy to any company but I do find all the other trucks boring compared to the Tacoma.
The 2.7L has been a solid powertrain. I do not know what you are referring too. The internals are very strong and GM has seen hardly any issues with the 2.7L. You just have to stay on top of maintance. 5k oil changes and fluids are a must.
Would y'all get this truck or the Tacoma TRD Sport? I am in the market and am trying to determine which would be better long term. I am the kind of guy that will keep it for at least 200K miles if all goes well.
Don't know what it is with GM and their infatuation with that front spoiler on the bottom of the front bumper and plastic stupid looking mud flaps get rid of all that crap!
SOUNDS like a turd! And for $41k plus tt&l= $45, the truck doesn't have a power driver's seat. Keep telling yourself it's a bargain! I say B/S. But you're a car salesman.
Yeah cheaper then the Tacoma wow really and yet the Colorado looks like a Tacoma idk if chevy trying to be like Tacoma or something I always mistake every time I see this Colorado and think oh there goes another Tacoma then think again nope wait it has a chevy bo tie lol

Trim for sure. People get in this mindset that they have to "keep growing it" but they refuse to upkeep it besides putting a gallon of beard oil in it

41k is a bargain kids. Its a 4cyl S10 for 40 thousand dollars. Perfected the leaf spring, geez man
Im finally resigning to the fact we need to just pay these prices if we want a vehicle.
Being from the midwest the TB missing the heated seats is a bummer. It checks off all my other boxes.

I’m not a Nissan fan but the new frontier seems legit
To me, the Z71 looks like the sweet spot. Too bad about the lack of 6' bed choices this year.

Quick question ben why do they get the same mpg as the 5.3 im confused
It's about emissions not mpg, I just wish they would make the i4 crossplane so it would at least sound like a V8.
I want one, but how will the reliability be in the long run? Will it last 200k miles?
Of course not... GM
More like 50k. Blocks are cracking, frames are bending
It will last 2 sets of tires or 100,000 miles. Whichever comes first.😊
You guys are right! I dont know what I was thinking! lol. At the end of the day, it’s a GM product! 😂

Good value. I would be happy with it.
I don’t know what you were talking about with the turn signal. It’s supposed to turn off when you straighten the wheel again that’s normal.
I want to love this segment but it’s a tough sell. Similar mpg to the bigger pick ups with far less rear seat room
What actually your fav midsized truck you have reviewed? Thinking about buying one but can’t make up my mind :(
Sometimes having the key fob next to a cell phone can cause signal issues.
Roll down the passenger window. So the sticker isn’t blocking your visibility.
I like the looks of the tacoma, the interior of the new ranger, the driving dynamics of the Ridgeline, the price of the frontier.
Looks tough and as long as it’s reliable I’d be happy with it.
@Ben Hardy: Do the both side mirrors fold in ? Have a good one.
Do any of the Colorados have a 6ft bed option? Im a toyota fan girl but i like my chevys too. I have to say, the newest chevy trucks look amazing.

if you want all that stuff, you get an LT...pretty simple....
Seems like the truck dealerships love to lowball you when trading in. No options.
Halogens for 2024?
Gotta justify gouging customers for an extra $1-2k for leds
$40 bucks on amazon gets you LEDs 😂
Ben if you could call out the towing capacity on these trucks.
