What do you think about the microphone? Is it better and worthy than Rode wireless Me?
Thanks for this, Skyler! Looks like a nice wireless mic. Question. When recording the audio on your phone, I assume you would combine the separate audio file with your video file and sync the two in post, correct?
The sound from the mic is attached to the video file on phone. If you choose to use the sound from your TF card recordings then you sync it in post and use video from phone and sound from TF
Audio quality is paramount for a mic. But you only had a very short sample and none of the 3 levels of noise reduction.
Also, compared to the TH-cam videos over watched either side of yours, your record level was much lower and difficult to tell it's quality.
I love Ulanzi kit but I don't think you did it justice! Sorry.

Can you use the monitoring output as input for a camera? Or the reciever needs to be powered by the phone?
just got the J12 and they are nice. One question please: Do these ones work/transmit, when you are not in line of sight, means you turn your back to the receiver? With the small ones I get cutouts and unusable audio

I am happy to report the new mic doesn’t have this problem. I turned my back to receiver and walked away about 30 feet back and forward a few times, never lost signal. BUT…. I tried the J12 again and mine didn’t cut off at all. Sound was nice and clean

Which one is better in your opinion of the 2?
Hard to say. If you don’t need to record on TF cards, then the J12 is great. The new one you can to recording and monitor your audio with the included headphones

The J12 had a problem. The plug in unit would not fit the iPhone Lightning port if you were using a case. You could modify the case and enlarge its hole or use no case at all. Does the new mic have the same problem?
Yes, same problem. I have used until recently a polar pro phone case and mics work with that case because the case is wide open at the bottom where the lightning port is. Recently switched to peak design case and I have to take case off to use the mic
@@skylerewingphotography Ah! Last year I bought a cheap unbranded wireless lav that suffered that problem. I enlarged the case to get over it. It seems that a lot of wireless labs have the Anne design fault, at least at the cheaper end of the market. I no longer use it as the sound quality was pretty poor. I bought a wired lav, a PurplePanda, which I love.

No I don’t. But they are very similar except you can record on the UW
Can you use the mics to record onto their own TF cards even if the receiver is not plugged into phone/turned on? Or does the receiver always need to be working in order for them to record to memory cards?
If the receiver is not plugged in you cant record on TF cards

yes, with an sd you can record just fine without the receiver, for me is recording when flashing blue

Be careful with that microphone. He disappeared and won't come back. A poorly explained manual, terrible translation, neither Ulanzi Brasil nor USA helped me. I'm going to make a video recommending not to buy it. He can let it go. He's done this several times, but he came back again. Not anymore. I use a Samsung S23 Ultra. I've recorded with him several times. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. ATTENTION.
Test it with a live band then with your phone.this test is no good.dont prove anything
