In my opinion, a basic license should be required to fly a micro drone, just for the safety aspect. However the restrictions that a basic license gets you around are so minimal it doesn’t make any sense, as it doesn’t “unlock” any places.
I agree. Maybe it should be something even more basic than the current basic license, perhaps at the point of sale. I like the way the US has this TRUST license.
Why? Morons will be morons, license or no. It's so Canadian to beg the government to be allowed to do anything. Just as long as you're a citizen, that is. You could always come here as a "student" and drive a semi within a week.
@@brandonr8269 oh no, I want people to be safe so that they don’t ruin it for the rest of us? Next I’ll be begging the government to regulate who can drive cars too! Oh the humanity!
@@ALonesomeStreet Beware the government that sells you your own safety. You think driver's licensing is there to keep you safe? That's a laugh. Bet you think the government is supposed to provide your health care, too. Better schedule another booster.
You make it sound like this is an easy task. I’ve been studying to get this small little license and it’s off the chart just to be able to fly a micro drone I’m not impressed and I believe this will destroy the sport for most people
It may seem overwhelming when you first attempt to pass it, but you can definitely do it with minimal studying and keeping your phone ready to google some of the answers you don't know. Also check out Don Joyce's channel!
CTRL+F on the part IX etc during the exam. Just copy paste the question keywords in the doc to get the answer and have Google open and Google Fu the rest
10 minutes of reading and Google when I wasn't sure and passed easily. The test is really just a way for Transport Canada to educate people on how their drone works and where and where not to fly.
Thank you, it was great informative video 🙏
