@@FatTonyTheSkipper it varies from person to person. Some people solely focus on clothing, while others such as myself, post about architecture, art, music along with (mainly) fashion. My idea for the pre-order mock-up step would be to get a DTG print for each design you have (or want to promote at least) and use that DTG print to take some on-body photos... like you could literally just get one DTG print of the graphic tee you want as the focus piece then use that single tee to create multiple photos of different people (or same person if you have no friends lol) wearing the tee in different locations or scenarios. Obviously you don't want to sell the DTG print as a final product but I think it could act well to take on-body pictures with
For my first drop I’m doing pre made but I’m thinking I’m leaning more towards that bc I’m a photographer myself and I want to do campaign shoots for everything. Concept and all. I don’t want to just post a pic of a shirt with a white background like I see everywhere. Only thing that’s bad about that is at the beginning, pre order is so good to see how many people are interested. Pre made at first, kinda just guessing and what you can afford.
@@shopify7pm that is true but it is also true that if it happens to look good on someone it can convince others to buy it as well because they'll think it'll look like that on them
@@gotworc Agree, people are visual creatures and have imaginary skills, they will think that the clothes will look like that on them, as in the picture, video etc. Both can. With or without a model.

Try Me Sir .. I'M A custom Apparel Manufacturer Let Me Know Sir If You Need Anything Or Feel free to ask anything Sir Might be my little knowledge will help you
Pre-Order vs Pre-Made both have their pros and cons so don't think 1 is the only way to do it. Pre-Order can be risky if not many people buy your product because then the cost to produce the clothing will be more expensive. Also, it could receive bad reviews for late shipping negatively affecting the chance of attracting future customers.
Great vid bro 🔥 buh with preorder will Shopify allow you to take money out to pay manufacturer ? I thought they only allow money out when product is delivered to customer..I you can take money out before delivery then a lot will scam and not ship products right ? Can you pls explain this process for we who don’t get it ?🙏
Really great insights, thank you so much! Can't you, instead of using a manufacturer, buy blanks and get them printed? At least for like T-Shirts for example?
What would you recommend for someone new to this just getting their feet wet? Pre order or Pre made? What did you do? Would you have done it differently in retrospect?
Hi There ! I'm a coustom Apparel Manufacturer. We made Apparel with premium quality in cheap price . We also offer samples for Quality check up. LET me know if You Need Anything Or Feel Free To Ask Anything 🙂
Hey! If anyone could help me that’ll be great!! I’m thinking of doing preorder for my brand but there’s one thing that I never see mentioned. If for example your manufacturer’s MOQ is 20, and let’s say on your drop you only end up selling under 20 like 10, how will you get the products to those customers?
You still have to buy the 20 MOQ, usually no exceptions. You could get past the MOQ and order a lesser amount, but you may end up spending way more per unit. So you might as well just pay for the absolute minimum MOQ and then you could leave them on your website and sell them gradually overtime
Question during the shipping step can’t I just bring the shirt to the post office and give them the address and information and they do the shipping label or is it best for me to just save the money to get a computer and shipping label printed
But how do you know the quantity and sizes for inventory. That’s my issue. I’m unsure what sizes to get and how much should I get for inventory method.
Most people buy mediums and larges, then you can get less inventory for the smaller and bigger sizes, it takes trial and error, just commit to an inventory make up for your first drop, then see how fast each size sells, and make incremental changes on your next drop
For the pre order method when the customer buys the product would I then buy from the manufacturer then and then ? That’s the only part I’m confused on.

Alot of marketers say that the product without the model etc actually converts better. As a model takes attention away from the prod
@@shopify7pm that is true but it is also true that if it happens to look good on someone it can convince others to buy it as well because they'll think it'll look like that on them

Yes, and the you wait until production is done, get the clothing, ship it out
How long is the minimum shipping time for the manufacturer to send out the products after the drop? Base on your experience.
After bulk order is placed usually, 3-6 weeks. Depends on a lot of factors

Most manufacturers can do most things just ask as many as you can
How would I go about finding a manufacturer, that’s the only step I can’t get past?
How much do you charge to make a specific mockup?
