I just got my kit for my Mustang Mach E. The hardest part is splicing the wires and feeding them into the door wires, but the problem is, I don’t know which wire to splice into there’s so many wires
that looks great Cash, nice premium car feeling! my 24 GTI 380 has lights like these. they dont strobe or change color but you can set 3 different full color zones for dash/doors, cubbies and footwells.
Thanks Chris! They did come out very nice. If I remember right, my MK7 GTI SE had something similar all red, but I don't remember what I was able to do for controls. Can you set color in your GTI or is it just where in the car is lit up?
@@CashedOutCars there are LED strips on the doors, dash board, cubbies, and footwells and the colors can be changed independently to some extent. the LED screen in the cluster changes the background to the colors you select as well.
cool lights and setup, hopefully they can last long. as for the app, can you manually setup or customized each light strip independently on the direction the light will flow? my concern is that depending where we can install the wires of the LED strip might be going different direction for the led light flow. as an example, let say your front doors the lights are installed with the wires at the front of the car and the LED strips running to the back of the car, then you have your rear doors, the wires were installed at the back of the doors and the led strip running toward the front of the car. is that mean that when you turn on the LEDs will the lights flow on opposite directions? front vs back? or you can customize each LED strip and switch either the front or back to same direction? i ordered a kit, i tried to do research online but i havent seeing any video teaching or showing that you can customized each strip independently.
Awesome video! Got the same kit using your link few weeks ago. Just getting to install it. Question... We're any lights too long or too short for where you wanted to install it? These light strips are various lengths, but none match the length I want... Curious if I can cut off the excess or what to do with excess length that lights up on the strip. Any suggestion(s) greatly appreciated.
Hey man great video just bought a set, did you run its own circuit or hook it up to existing circuitry, I initially tried the constant 12v power and couldn’t reach the full functionality but the window lifters seemed to do the job but shortly overloaded , any advice would be appreciated thanks
Hopefully more people can chime in on shop quotes, but it likely would be pretty expensive due to the extensive work required. So far the lights themselves have lasted nearly a year (Installed last May)
Hey there! I'd look at the LED lengths listed in each kit. That's pretty wide, but if you change the item on this listing it looks like there's a 55 inch strip that can be cut down: amzn.to/3VRTa2j (affiliate link that I may be compensated for)
Hello, I would like to install such ambient lights, but I have big doubts about connecting the module to 12v on the car. is it ok to connect the modules like that to any existing circuit in the car, like for example from the window lifter in the door or something like that? Won't that overload the circuit? Some say it's best to run a new installation just for ambient lighting. I'm not good with electricity so please advise. thanks
@CashedOutCars ok but what if the length is too long or too short and what if t have too many or too few dash lines I want to illuminate? There are addressable RGBs so do you cut them or just hide away the excess?
It is possible, to dim the brightness, when you riding with the car? So i want, when i stop the car, it can be on 100% brigtness, but when i am riding then automatic 30%, without any button to push, or app to change. For example a motion sensor or, make that with the carlight is on, tham dim 30% automaticly
just head up if you are going to buy this kit, the customization is not as good as others, you can NOT change the start up animation, i saw other brand or kits on youtube reviews you can. but again on this kit you cant. also you cant customize the animation for each individual strip. meaning that if you have the light flowing in one direction and if your strip are installed different direction, you cant use the app to change it. so you better lay out all the strips and check the animation or direction were the light flow.

ordered mine after watching this video. no other video came close to yours! thank you for the review and amazing video
Glad I could help make the decision! You're welcome!

Love the vids
Thank you, Looking forward to continuing to get back into making them!
Nice work Cash! 👍
Appreciate it, glad you liked it!
Thanks for the video. Have you uploaded the installation video yet.

Thank you! You can trim them down but cutting them to length
Is your dash cam hard wired? Is there a video on that? I have the same car and would love to do the same
It is but I didn't install it, so unfortunately no video on that, sorry!

Thank you! I didn't run it's own circuit for the doors, but did run the main modules off it's own fused circuit off of a fuse tap
how much would it cost to have someone install it like without wiring showing like this?
how long would the lights last?
I’ve got quotes from shops at 1k.
Hopefully more people can chime in on shop quotes, but it likely would be pretty expensive due to the extensive work required. So far the lights themselves have lasted nearly a year (Installed last May)
Thanks for commenting!
When the main module went bad, did you have to replace all of the modules in the door to get the bluetooth address to match?
I just had to replace the main one, it automatically connected to the others
Does it remember the previous setting when turning your car off and on? Or do you need to set it everything you turn the car on? Thanks
Yes it does remember the setting with the button!
Do I need the main module to function the other modules for the door ?
The main module controls the sub modules in the doors
Does the 6 in 1 dreamcolor package come with strips you can put in the doors? or are those strips made only for the dash
Yes it looks like it does work for the doors, since it comes with modules for them and enough strips
how much faster u can install this kit after u already done that .thanks
I'd say in about half the time if it were in this specific car. I do plan on installing one in a NA Miata, which should be a faster installation
does it only work with an app or both app and a remote'?
I don't believe this kit came with a remote, I'm not sure if you can rig one up
Hey bro so I got a jeep Wrangler jl and want to only do the dash which is 47” on both sides from the screen. Which kit would work the best?

Its own circuit certainly would be the most correct way to do it, however it brings the level of difficulty up quite a bit
Where can I find a ground and a fuse tap? Mine didn’t come with one
I bought the fuse taps separately and a ground will be located somewhere on your specific vehicle
@ yeah got that figured out, installed them and they came out 🔥🔥
Atr the kits model specific?
I don't see any vehit selection on the Amazon order page
How do e know it will fot my vehicle?
It is not model specific, they're generic / universal kits that you can install in any car
@CashedOutCars ok but what if the length is too long or too short and what if t have too many or too few dash lines I want to illuminate?
There are addressable RGBs so do you cut them or just hide away the excess?
You can trim them, and you can buy additional LED strips if need be as long as there’s spots in the controllers for them

I don't know if that can be done automatically, but it definitely can be controlled with the app
Has anyone found the step by step installation video ?
I have one posted, and will do an even more in depth generic one: th-cam.com/video/cuj_arri3y4/w-d-xo.html
Thank you ! Much help !

Do you know what brands those kits were? I’d like to check them out!
