Still not cheap, but cheaper than a GoPro - if you want cheap, then try this www.sportpursuit.com/virb-action-camera i've heard some good things about the Garmin Virb camera. You'll need to create a login for SportPursuit to view price, but it's currently £90.

I've done this. I recommend this place. This place rocks! I've also done Velocity which can be seen on my TH-cam channel.
