Hi MD, I see your constant research on having a good nature soil 👍. I suggest you to try cactus soil one day, this is made of mixed pouzzolane, sand and fertilized soil. Really interesting results into a tank
The fact that you used the same fish over and over again for different scapes make your channel more valuable, valuable??I don't know if that's the right word but you get the idea:)
I'd avoided dirted tanks for ages, but then saw how much success you had, MD, and I thought i would give it another try. It worked a treat as I followed your method! Now I don't think I would ever do a "normal" tank ever again! Thanks MD!
Hello from Red Deer Alberta Canada. I’ve had goldfish for years! I never thought I could have live plants with them. I’ve learned so much from you and now have three aquariums, and lots of live plants. Thanks so much for your sharing of skills ❤
Godspeed! My aquarium houses both a betta, shrimp, as well as many other fish. I have the luck of having a betta that is absolutely fine with the other fish, but it was a gamble when I bought the little man. When I clean my filter I sometimes spend 20 minutes catching all the little baby shrimp that snuck into the water I siphoned out, but all of this creation is worth saving.
Personally, for a temporary tank, I find this beautiful. I want to get another betta in the future and this is exactly what I want. Plenty of free swimming area, easy access to the top and an area where he can go chill or explore.
I have the same cmt with you, this layout is so beautiful. I also want to make a new betta tank for my children and this video layout is one of the most I want to make it.
Love your videos. But would LOVE if you could maybe include the products you use in descriptions as well? Like the list of plants, type of rocks, etc. happy holidays!
Thank you so much for your videos. My boyfriend loves bettas, tetras, and planted tankes, but is too busy to learn how to do them himself! I had gotten him a betta in a temporary 2 gallon tank (uprading to the x1x1x1 tank you've uploaded, soon!) and your videos are not only educating, but entertaining and beautiful to watch. You show extreme care to your animals, and your viewers!! It's so nice to have a constant and consistent source of education to expand my knowledge on planting, ecosystem, and small fish!!!
Hey MD! I think the salvinia is the healthiest in the ruby tetra setup because they aren’t competing with a bunch of stem plants for the nitrates in the water column
Videos of aquarium unmouting perhaps encourages some people to do the same for a tank that's needing it. Also, what I'm loving about this video is the usage of garden materials, which makes the hobby much more accessible for all. Two questoins: 1 - Which white sand is that? I used pool filter sand in one of my tanks. I'm looking for a white one now. 2 - Could I use any super glue? What's the interaction of it with water and fish later?
I love your videos. They’re inspiring and informative. Your speech and delivery is very calming and clear. The editing and music is amazing too. No extra fillers. Great formula!
Watching your channel has trundled my love of fish keeping. I used to have a couple of tanks, one of which was a big 500ltr community tank. Had to get shot of them when the relationship broke down and I never quite got back into it. Now I'm planning on staying again with a 2'x1' tank and moving up from there again.
i love the amount you upload since you dont disappear for 2 months like others amazing content hope you do more! -ps hope you make a saltwater reef tank soon would love to see it
Big fan of you and your videos!! Because of you I’m itching to try to create my own aqua scape, and I’ve never attempted one before because they always seem to be so much work and other extras that are needed… You’ve proved otherwise and I’m happy you have! Thank you for sharing and teaching in a simple way to get our own tanks set up! Betta fish are my favorite!!
can you put up a 3 or 4 hour video of just your archer fish tank. just set a camera and record. I want to put it on my TV for ambience and visuals while I work at the office
Sweet but i hope next time u go to the shop and choose a new betta! Also even if you don't want a new one it would be nice to see what Bettas they have in the shop you ususally go :)
You can see you aquascaping ability is improving on each tank as well as your confidence go up. The balance and composition has also become more pronounced. I look for you video to appear and rush to watch to see what you have done.

That tank with the red plants and drift wood is freaking beautiful for a moment I thought it was a wallpaper.
Another winner MD. It just goes to show that it's not the size of the thank it's the quality of the build that makes a difference.

Hello from New Jersey, USA. Thank you for all that you do. Your talent inspires me. Can you tell me why sometimes you use mesh bags for your soil and other times you just spread it freely on the bottom of the aquarium?

I’ve found that I really don’t need to change water based on my parameters, but I’m in some groups which encourage a 20% change weekly regardless of NH chems in the water. Thanks!
I don't do water changes after the first week providing there is no ammonia showing.
Yeah, I test every other day to keep a constant log of parameters and only change water if there's an ammonia spike too

Awesome scape as always! I am currently researching for my first tank (which I have just bought) and have found your videos to be a great source of inspiration and information.
