What does Archie care? He’s in line to inherit a Barony as well as a Dukedom. The sort of class of people he comes from are posher than David Cameron and Boris Johnson- and they used to set fire to £50 notes in front of homeless people for a laugh! So I can’t see him being bothered or feeling any guilt by destroying £400 in 2p coins.

Well that’s mainly because they went to France but people that don’t plan to post a video of the process can get away with doing it in England
It is not illegal to melt foreign coins in the UK. In addition, the Coinage Act does not apply outside the UK. One could bring his/her British coins to France and melt them there. In France, it is legal to melt any coins, foreign or domestic.

I mean, a big magnet would've literally sifted through for them. Surely this crossed their minds while there doing them 1 by 1?!
Additionally, before they used the magnet, they were checking dates for pre-1993 coins, however, some 2p coins minted in 1998 are actually made of copper as well - they would have missed out on some profit. luckily, they switched to the magnet anyway - the better method regardless of magnet size.
@@J_-_the 1998 2 pence coin is bronze not copper. When you melt these with copper you will see that the bronze is heavier and will form at the bottom of the bar and will be a different colour. Don't ask me how I know 😂

In Argentina if you get coins as change you never want to use them, hold them and latter sell them by kg because the metal is always gonna have (and hold) more value then the value of the currency so it's kind of rare to see coins here lol
