Went to see this last night at the Empire, fell in love with his voice instantly Went to see it for the last time at Liverpool last night, it was even better than Thursday
Great voice. I think his voice really fits what I think matches the Evan character in my mind. Some of the Evans I've heard over the years don't match up quite as well. The one reoccurring thought I had as I listened was that he was directed to sing this particular version of this important song in a way that didn't always use the emotional accents written into the song. I hope that is something that is handled differently during alive performance on stage.
definitely felt the emotion on stage, he was phenomenal last night at the liverpool empire. had us all in tears during words fail and he had tears streaming down his own face. surprised he kept it together as well as he did :') honestly was blown away.
Saw this last night live in Birmingham. It was an amazing performance by the whole cast but Ryan was the most phenomenal Evan. ❤ Pleaaaasee put this version on Spotify !!
@@louise0136I was in a wheelchair near the front. I also wore my Evan Hansen Halloween costume from last year. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 stripey shirt, beige trousers, a sleeve thing with Connor written on that looks like a cast and a grey hoodie. The usher said she liked my 'cast'.
@@RobC2212 I think I spotted you! I was near the front, in the left block of seats. My friend Richard Hurst plays Larry Murphy in the show, and he said Sonny performs the matinees and Ryan performs the evening shows because of how heavy and emotional the show is
I'm seeing it in Woking on 2nd Nov. Can't wait! This musical has about 6 songs that are among the best songs ever written for any musical! Just incredible!
There actually way more than that unless you mean the movie then again I haven’t seen this new adaptation of DEH so it could be entirely different but I heard the songs were still there so it still should be around 14 or more *The songs should include:* Does anybody have a map Waving through a window For forever Sincerely me Requiem If I could tell her Disappear You will be found To break in a glove Only us Good for you Words fail So big/ so small And the rest is music though Im not sure if to break in a glove was music or a song so that can be excluded if so, In the movie there is one more song called anonymous ones and that should be it.
So he's singing the notes but I am not feeling anything... that is a HUGE problem for me. I'm sure he sounds more better on stage with a set and stuff but this is bland AF.
You're allowed to dislike and avoid the show. You are not entitled to canceling the show and taking it away from the fans who were touched by the show or enjoy it. Your dislike is valid, and so is our love for the show. Art is meant to provoke different responses. That's perfectly fine. The show is on because enough people like it.
@NFTProductions I'd be keen to understand what you find problematic. As a quick question have you seen this show (or particularly this production)? Whilst I recognise there are aspects of mental health and particularly the big theme on lies the thing is I see it as a cautionary tale and a story where Evan falls into this to be loved. I would be curious to know your thoughts but I don't think it's acceptable to say to "collectively agree" for shows to be axed (for reference I hate the show Grease - I think the messages are really wrong and it sends ideas through that makes people think this is the image they want it to be. But yet people love the show and I don't judge them).
Just saw this in Birmingham. He played the PERFECT Evan!!

i was there too, absolute magic last night. i don't know how he made it through words fail with tears streaming down his face
@@windler763 I don’t know how I made it through this song without crying, I almost cried at Wall In My Head from ETAJ, they both relate to me insanely
I saw this show just this past week and I was absolutely blown away by Ryan's performance...he is undoubtedly a star.
Oh my goodness, make this guy famous!
Saw him in Empire and he was absolutely incredible! My favorite Evan now.
Just saw this superstar perform in Dear Evan Hansen and he was perfection. Feel so lucky to have seen him x
Went to see this in Birmingham on Saturday night. If you haven't got tickets, book them now. This was the most phenomenal show I've ever seen ❤

Just been to see this in Sunderland, not sure why but I wasn’t sure at first. I was SO wrong he’s absolutely quality. As is the full show, superb ❤

Going to go see this in norwich this may! So excited!!!
Just got back from Birmingam UK today from seeing this. Ryan wasn't there today.... it was the alternate Evan, Sonny Monaghan. Incredible......
I saw that show too and agree - Sonny was phenomenal

Looking forward to the performance in Liverpool being held on 16th Nov.
just saw it at the empire last night, you’re in for a big treat!!! it's amazing
He really is epic!
I saw the matinee in Birmingham and sonny was really good but Ryan is really good as well
Super stemme og en flot fyr. Har spillet sangen omtrent 100 gange i dag....!!
Please can you record Richard Hurst's song? 🙏

I've seen him in DEH twice this week and he is much better on stage!
Can't believe this comment!
He sounds great. But I thought we collectively agreed to let this extremely problematic show die. It was a product of its time and has aged horribly.
Nah, never agreed to anything. You don't speak for everyone. Looking forward to seeing this
One of the best musicals! Timeless imo :)
Keep that thought to yourself you poor guy
