I got into Berklee in 2018, I was very excited but then I realized my parents and I could not afford it and I did not receive any scholarships which was disheartening. So I decided to attend UW Madison to major in data science while still taking a piano class. I just graduated in May 2022 and now I'm an intern for the Minnesota Twins baseball team!
Wow, you don’t know how helpful this video is, I am applying for Berkeley College of music on the fall of 2022. Hopefully everything goes well, I’ll get back to this once I’m done with the audition. Thank you so much for this
Wow this was surprisingly profound, actually. I was expecting more like tips and tricks and I walk away with life advice. I would have so much loved to go to Berklee but it will never happen. I have a very dear friend there though and I'm happy that she's getting to live that dream. Good video, Sofia. Thanks!
Trust that things are always working out for you and that you’re being guided! (Regardless of the audition result- and know that you can always audition again if needed :) best of luck! 🌟
Thank you! This was great advice! I'm auditioning in a couple months and I'm so excited and nervous! I'll be sure to check back here when I know if I got in!
Hey Miriam! Happy the video helped! Good luck at the audition! You got this! Trust yourself and trust music - things are always working out for you 🌟 And yes pls keep us posted how it goes!
Great advice!!! I recently got into Berklee with a 11,000 a year scholarship, but thats certainly not enough for me to afford it :(. For everyone in the comments, also look for exterior scholarship opportunities and explore other music school options! There are so many out there so apply everywhere you can, and as fast as possible. Peace ✌️
man first time in my life that I really enjoy a hobby and now I'm watching a video about something I'm not even interested about but its somehow remotely related to guitars.
Hey thanks for making such a helpful video. I'm applying too Berklee for the fall 2022 semester but am a little confused on what too submit in the extra material section on the application. I'm applying for the music and engineering major and was gonna submit some mixes or beats i've made. I also was gonna ask if I should gather like a big letter or something of all my musical accomplishments or something like that too show how long ive been passionate about music. Thank you!
I also want to apply for the fall 2022! What are the major requirements?!? And did they finally open the applications for fall 2022? I wish you all the best!
hello :D If for example, I wanted to study Electronic Production and Design, would I still have to go with an instrument to be accepted at the university and have a scholarship? and all careers are available to have a full scholarship?
I'm currently applying and I believe they have "Electronic Digital Instrument" as one of their choices for principal instruments, so if you're looking to audition with something of that nature I'm sure you can :D
Didu, I am from india I wanted to ask you something If I want to write and learn english song what can i do first? If I want to become english singer what can i do first? If I want to get more music knowledge what can i do first? If I want to more concentrate in music what can i do first?
I have a question for you. What did you put down for the financial aid application part? What I mean is that there is a section that asks "What will be your parents financial contribution ? What amount did you specify?
Hey! That’s really up to you. I think wearing a suit isn’t necessary because it’s a bit over the top, but if it makes you feel like you’re putting your best foot forward then go for it🌟
I’m pretty sure that you would have to have at least some knowledge on at least one instrument to be admitted. I know they can teach you a secondary instrument from scratch, but I’m not sure if you would be able to get in with no musical knowledge at all. I’m just a student there though, so I would recommend emailing Berklee directly for a more exact answer. Best of luck! 🙏
IK this is a year late but this year there is a brand new major that doesn’t require prior musical knowledge to get in! It’s the first major that doesn’t have an audition and it’s for people who are passionate about music to work more on the music business/industry side of things, instead of being a musician or composer or sound engineer or something like that
I think you are automatically considered for a scholarship with your audition, but I could be wrong. I would recommend emailing Berklee admissions for a more exact answer. Best of luck! 🙏
Hey! No you don’t need anything to get into Berklee, but once you’re in then you’re required to get a MacBook Pro and the software package they provide (you have to pay for it though) that includes logic, finale, etc. You shouldn’t have to worry about that until you’re accepted though👌🌟

Thats tragic, Sherman. I hope you can save up enough money for Berklee and have a better life, man. Stick in there!
