This is a budget flight or inexpensive flight to travel from Canad to India . This airlines offer a free stay to all of its passengers who have a layover in Africa (Addis Ababa). This is my experience and review of Ethiopian Airlines, Addis Ababa and Skylight Hotel. I enjoyed free lunch, free dinner and free transportation from the airport to the hotel.

Sorry, no idea about this one, but as per Airport rules , you are not allowed to carry any liquid (because after buying you are carrying them outside), so it's better to purchase duty free only when you are going to board next flight
I heard in a video that they allow 32 kg per bag in economy class, is it true??
yes, they allow 32 KG but rules and regulations change time to time so must check with airlines before to board flight.

How much was the layover at Addis ababa? 9 hrs or more
8.5 Hrs, in which 1 and 1.5 hrs to come out from the airport to reach the hotel and again you neee to be present in aiport 2 or 2.5 Hrs before , so roughly you will get 4 to 4.5 hrs in hotel, but it's good, you must visit hotel.

For Addis Abba, you just need Hotel Voucher and your passport, no need of transit visa.

Hotel wale aapko inform nahin karenge ye dhyan aapko dena hai. Aapko flight ke departure time se 2 ghante pehle hotel ke reception par bolna padega checkout ke liye aur wapis airport jaane ke liye, wo aapko shuttle kee slip denge wapis airport jaane ke liye.

I just flew Ethiopian air from BKK to ADD then ADD to EWR. 100%, the dirtiest and dumpiest business class I have ever flown. Their 787-8 did not even have completely lie flat seats for an 18 hour flight (ADD-EWR). Never ever again. I literally feel like I got robbed of my money. Sooooo many other choices.
