8:26 this hits the nail on the head for me. After a very stressful day, I tend to go on my phone and watch tv, but as a non-engaging exercise, my mind doesn’t really move away from the running thoughts from my workday. Building a Lego set forces me to focus and get my mind off of whatever happened during my work day.

Custom is definitely the way to go for a city. Your city is awesome, but the more you can design yourself the more fun it will be. Over the years I've had difficulty restraining myself from putting modulars in my city, but I'm glad I have. Can't wait to see the direction your city takes once you have a blank slate in your new space!

We moduler s I guess are custom build s of some one elce s design. .for me 7 so years back I started adding. Extra touche s to my moduler s to add. More. Fun to building them. And. It mean s. The modules I got. Are a little diffrent. To every one. Buying the same modules...and. I was. Telling. Jordan I was doing. That with my modules ...then. Jordan started. Doubling the. Size of the modules an then doing rebrickable one s ..

I really appreciate your willingness to talk about issues with LEGO, without sounding like your losing interest in the hobby. People sometimes don't want to hear any negativity, but, for me, I feel better when you are honest about your issues with LEGO. I believe that talking about both positive and negative issues helps in the long run. I know it sounds strange, but, in some ways, content creators are...😂 a form of therapy. I've ordered LEGO MOCs from eBay and they arrived wrapped in clear plastic in perfect condition, and I almost don't want to unwrap them, they look so much like a Christmas present in a see thru package! My local third party LEGO store is next to a 24/7 fitness center, so there are at least people who hopefully if they see something suspicious going on, will call the cops.

As a Canadian, we need an Architecture set that represents us. Of course Toronto would be the first option. Like you said the CN Tower, "Sky Done". City Hall is famous. It was pictured in Star Trek TNG if I recall. Too bad it wasn't Star Wars.

For some reason people say to me about selling my Lego, I’m not sure why people ask about that, if I was into vinyl or books no one says you can selling them but because it’s Lego if I say I’m broke they say well you can sell you Lego. It’s actually insulting cause people don’t realise how much my Lego means to me. Lego is used in dementia care and brain injury recovery. It’s not just a kids toy. I suffer from stress and depression it’s great way for me to get out of my own thoughts. I’d really love to have some space to build a Lego city, I don’t want to build a big city but love to have a super detailed mini city.

I 100% agree with you Bricksie. If I have some spare time after my work, I will slap some pieces together for my city (and no, my city is not remotely as big as yours nor as awesome) or build a set if I have one in my backlog. It does 100% relieve stress as it exercises your brain and provides a little challenge. Thank you for providing some in depth business factors, rules, bylaws and policies you have to abide by. I never knew there was so many factors that played in to opening a business to the public.
Ask Bricksie: I know you mentioned a lot of challenges with insurance companies, bylaws, rules and factors you have to recognize and abide by in order to allow access to the general public. However, if you really wanted to, could you possibly have an AFOL themed night or day event at your commercial space where local Bricklink sellers and fans of LEGO can all come together and enjoy the hobby while buying stuff they'd like from the sellers or even you and maybe tour your LEGO display? I know there's a lot of challenges involved with this but, it may be a good way to make an extra source of income, grow your channel and business and unite the local LEGO community. You could even have people book their slot for a night or day (say limit of 10 people per event), and control the amount of people that attend the event to make it easier for you. Far fetch I know.

Idea for the layout of the city at the new place. Islands on the ocean, each island could be a different theme or realm. For example the main big island would be the traditional city but the Winter Village would be its own island that could also include the other Artic & snow based sets, the Space based stuff could be grouped into an outer space themed island, medieval and pirates on another one, etc. Maybe the theme park could be part of a "fantasy island" with the Sonic & Mario stuff worked in along with other fantastical/gaming/cartoon themed stuff. Oh and a Far East island that's got the Ninjago stuff combined with the Chinese New Year stuff.
The area in between filled with Lego water (tiles or just plates or loose pieces, whatever) with various boats & ships (and pirates), etc...
