Just another option instead of banners for your skyline . . . consider a projector. You could project clouds and have the option to alternate. In Germany, there's a place called Minatur Wonderland that uses atmospheric lighting to simulate a day night cycle every 15 minutes or so. It's the best immersive diorama experience I have ever seen.
Put a dumbwaiter lift next to the stairs and just send the lego up and down as needed.
I was going to comment that, it is a realy good idea
Was just coming to the comments to say the same thing. These can be really simple and very sturdy. Then you can place the build on it and move it down. And make it big enough to fit the tray/cart you mentioned for building.
Installing a dumb waiter elevator is the type of content that can bring new viewers to the channel.
That's a great idea
That is absolulutely genius!
Jordon, you have thought this through really well. So proud that your dream is coming true. Can’t wait to see the new studio.
regardless of what every says, ideas, concerns, this is your space, make it how you want it to be, what is easiest and efficient for you. Not anyone else. We are just along for the ride and nothing else.
True. But buy every. One giveing thay. Thort s. Help s. Him .out., on things he may not thort of ..😊👍
@@countrabricksbuildcraze8916 yeah true, giving ideas are fine, especially if he is struggling. I'm sure alot of stuff he already thought about. But at end of day, its his decision, since he is the one only one there doing it.
This is the only bricksie video I couldn't finish. It breaks my heart how hard you are taking feedback. Everyone is just so excited for the new space. I think lots of suggestions are coming in because your viewers sit with you each day and naturally feel like they want to be part of the process. You have been thinking about this for months but we are all brand new to this idea so obviously out of half a million people there will be many ideas. You have no obligation to do what anyone other than you want, but please have patience with your audience. Suggestions are just suggestions, not attacks. In the end I am sure whatever you choose will be amazing.
Well said! I was starting to think I was the only thinking this way.
I felt the same way. This is the comment I needed to see.
But it isn’t just feedback when so many ppl are telling him what he should do. At that point it isn’t just a suggestion they are treating it like it’s their way or the highway
OMG!!! I can't believe so many people are freaking out now. Plans will come together once you are moving in. Yes things will change, probably lots of times. It happens when you move into a new area or try something new. Relax, enjoy this new adventure. Everything will come together. Love to you and the family ❤.
Nothing will be set in stone until you get in there and start setting it up.
Don't fret over the 'what if' bad things as your house can flood, burn down, leak, get broken into as can any business or home.
A little enclosed entry way/mud room/vestibule isn't a bad idea as it can keep people from looking in and seeing what is inside and can help with security.
I think you are starting on a great new project. All project's require some problem solving. I have always enjoyed the challenge. I think your the best one for this new adventure! Thank you for allowing us to come along on the ride! Your project ideas are very cool. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see where your adventure takes you and us viewers! Best wishes!!!!!!!
I trust you will do brilliantly with the new space. I think some of us make suggestions just to feel part of the Bricksie adventure. No matter how annoying we can be, you always include us and that is how you have built such an invested community. Thanks for respecting the community questions. You are the best.
God I love this video, and I love the fact that you're actually taking the time to answer all of the backseat drivers, even though they don't know your workflow, and just generally know less about all of this than you. You're a professional, and people are forgetting this in their eagerness to be helpful and/or clever.
I'm sure you're gonna think things through and change your mind a million times before you even move into the new space - and then you're gonna be moving things around anyway after a couple months cause reality is always different anyway. You do you, and what's best for your workflow!
So many questions I think are impossible to answer until you are in the space. You are formulating and sharing your ideas, but until you are there and start to fill up the space with the tables and shelving, you are not going to be able to make the final call.
I wish you the best of luck with the new studio space, I am very much looking forward to seeing this develop.
You have absolutely the right attitude, Jordan. If you sit around all day worrying what might happen then you’d never chase any dreams.
You’re young, you’ve both obviously given it a lot of thought and planning together and you know what you’re doing - that’s all anyone can do.
Don’t listen to the negativity, keep focussed on the plans you have an we’ll look forward to watching it all happen for you x
No wheels. That's silly. Keep your workspace upstairs. The exercise is good for ya. Build stations next to the city below is a must. Build the tables like you want. You know your needs best. Love it. Can't wait to see. the banners for clouds is brilliant
Dude you got this. Were rooting for you people are just worried. you got the right attitude tho focus on problem solving brother! We look forward to seeing where you guys go from here!
As shown on the excel your tables will have the access holes in the middle, instead you could do the in-between tables (the ones between the big ones, next to the holes) be on the wheels so there would be no hole in the middle and you just pull out the table section to crate the hole when you need to build something in the middle.
The big tables will no have wheels so they will prevent the small ones from moving out of place, so it will be stable as a whole. (or this is how I would do it :) hope my idea helps)
This doesn't work if you have trains/train tracks
In a big warehouse setting with high ceilings you need air movement otherwise you’ll end up with the heat raising to ceiling and being wasted. Air movement is essential despite the dust problem.
Regarding that question about an enclosed entrance space… another thing to consider besides the cold is the wind bringing in dust, dirt and pollen. When I had a space the buildup of dust was much higher on the entry area glass and I’m glad I had it so it was contained
you seem to have everything under control!! Im really excited to see the progress of this, it's super cool!!
Jordan, I have recently started watching your TH-cam channel, and I am mesmerized by your immense LEGO collection, especially your own creations. You are very talented, creative, and intelligent. Yesterday, I watched your video from a few years back about how you got to this point, and I was taken aback by your hard work, knowledge, and business mindset. Congratulations on your new warehouse and the new adventure ahead. I wish you all the best in embarking on your dream path. Having unlimited space and opportunity to create new LEGO sets, I think, is any LEGO fan’s dream. I struggle a lot with space, and it has hindered both my ability to buy new sets and create my own. For now, I live the dream vicariously through you. I look forward to the videos of the new warehouse and the new adventure. Taking calculated risks is what makes life interesting and worth living. Wish you all the best.
Banners are a great idea, you can even do seasonal stuff and change it... Spring sky, summer, fall, winter... Maybe even at the same time, so different parts if the city have a different season
It's going to be great, I agree you just have to let things play out, you have researched, planned but you just need to move in now and actually be in the space to see how things will fit and be the best workable space. Good luck.
My suggestion would be to leave the art where it is in your basement. It doesn’t have to be moved to the new space. In fact point it on the walls of your revamped basement. It’s art!
I think it all sounds fantastic, exciting can’t wait to see it grow and the good thing is if something doesn’t work or look right you just change it, move it this will all be part of the fun.
I was thinking it might be nice to have a plane flying dragging a Bricksie banner on your back drop!
Good luck 🍀
Very excited to see this new space come to life! I’m glad you aren’t letting all the naysaying get to you, it’s so important to let yourself enjoy the growth you’ve put so much work into creating. I had two ideas I thought would be helpful: 1) a dumbwaiter/pulley platform system so you can bring big sets or large amounts of parts up and down from the mezzanine easier and with less risk and 2) rather than putting the tables on wheels or using the foam flooring you could have rolling carts for moving yourself/sets under the tables. Again, so excited to see all the progress! Your videos have been so helpful to me the last three months to keep me awake while I feed my newborn at night/first thing in the morning.
Great content as always. I would like to recommend building custom 80/20 framed tables. This will make it very simple to make them to a precision size and also makes adding wheels a lot easier. Overall easier to reconfigure as well as being an affordable alternative to wood.
Will also cut down on dust as it's cleaner than wood and particle board.
I have been designing lab automation tables for years and would love to assist if you're interested.
Either way it's going to be amazing to see this entire project come to life!
Love everything you’re doing and how you’re handling everything! This is just a suggestion and it’s up to you at the end of the day but to address the obstacle of the stairs when building, what if you dedicate one room downstairs to building, one to filming and one to Star Wars. Then the rest of sets can be displayed in that large open space in the mezzanine and the rooms can isolate the building “mess”! Again just an idea-your plan is already amazing!
I would recommend building the tables the same way you build the city. In modular units. Find a general table size that fits your table layout and build enough of them to deal with the move. You always build more of the same table later as you try to expand the city. Wheels are great for moving things around if you decide to expand to rearrange the city but more important would be adjustable feet on the bottom of the table legs. Commercial spaces can be pretty bad about uneven floors.
You’re doing great. I appreciate all you’re doing. There’s a lot of negative viewers out there that seem to want to find problems. Thanks for everything you do!!
It's easier for people to dwell on the negative , than to come up with solutions
I am sooooo excited about this Wearhouse, can't wait to see the transition. You said that there is a mezzanine which would be your workspace. What about to take a corner up there and put the art, a sofa or something to have the coffee chill corner good for videos like this one where you talk to the audience or a podcast. Keep up the good work
Maybe switching shelved sets to upstairs and have studio and parts in the downstairs rooms would solve the going up and down stairs for building.
I've been pondering this as well - the mezzanine make be a better location for your built sets, whereas a dedicated filming room, and a build room / parts store downstairs would be better construction flow. Mobile carts is a great idea.
Part of the fun of this new adventure will be how the whole thing evolves over the years.
There’s so much you can’t know till you’re there. That’s a lot of the fun of all this. Thanks for sharing thought and planning processes. Cheers!
And nothing is permanent! You’ll have fun changing things up as you go. I appreciate your desire to keep things as clutter-free as possible. You know best how your creative mind works.
I just want to say congratulations on all your success. I’ve been following you for a long time. 2016 I think. You’ve come a long way on this Lego and TH-cam journey an deserve all the success you have. You’ve worked hard and succeeded doing things your way. No reason to change now. I look forward to seeing your new space and watching you continue to grow as you follow your dream.
You are an inspiration Jordan - as a Lego city builder, entrepreneur, husband and father. What you have achieved in your Lego city in the past few years is phenomenal - and that you have done all that whilst raising twins with your lovely wife is incredible. Thanks for the great content and for sharing your thought processes and insights ❤
Part of the excitement is figuring these things out once you get in. Nice to see you trying to stay positive with all these “helpful suggestions”
Love the passion and can’t wait to see the space come together! I would also want my build studio upstairs, like you had mentioned in a previous video, being able to look down on the city would be inspiring. So, I was thinking about this while watching and had a thought. Have you ever seen the garage storage solutions that use a lift mechanism. It’s basically a platform on a winch connected to the ceiling? If you lined something like this up with the edge of the balcony so you could load parts, and large sets built upstairs then lower to the ground floor and vise versa. Then it could store all the way up against the ceiling when not needed. This could allow for lots of pieces or a full diorama to. Easily and safely be transported up and down. Of coarse this would all depend on where the balcony edge lines up with space below.
Good to hear you maintaining a positive outlook on everything. I know the "what if's" can be overwhelming, but it's probably nothing you haven't already planned for. There's no reward without risk, and you're really out here making it happen! We support you, always.
Hey Jordan. Don't listen to the naysayers. This is amazing. Just a thought. If you used a steel frame for the Lego city then you wouldn't need as much timber and ultimately it would be cheaper and you wouldn't need very many legs to support it
The new space is going to be great, I can't imagine how awesome it would be to have so much space for a city. An idea I had was to make some covers for the access openings, could have a simple green space on each one, some small trees or something, then when you do overhead shots there will be no gaps.
Cool idea - or, the opening could be bracket-hinged and locked in place with simple bolt-locks - with a folding bracket hinged-lift-up mechanism that could be bolted in place, or unbolted and swung down below one side of the tables around it.. If you search this = Pack of 2 Furniture Hinge Spring Folding Lift Up Spring Hinges - you'll see kinda what I mean...
Cool suggestion for Bricksie Jordan
Hey Bricksie, love your videos and enthusiasm for Lego! I had a question and idea for you.. the question is, does the new studio space have integrated speakers? I know sometimes you like to have music playing, and having a sort of surround sound in place could be beneficial. And for the idea, it’s about the Lego art. You could just keep it at home. Move it from the stairwell and use it to decorate the newly acquired family space, and to kinda keep a Lego theme in the basement. Just thoughts on my end, but I trust you will make everything work out for the best Lego content. Keep doing what you love, and we will keep watching.
I have renovated and worked in buildings like this so just some thoughts, I am sure you are quite capable of making good decisions, but maybe things to consider...1) 17 foot ceilings, maybe put in a dropped ceiling at 14 feet? You will be amazed at all the stuff that falls from the top of a space like this out of nowhere. The heat will be building up from the radiant heat at the top level so maybe a bit of air movement will help keep the warm air where it is needed (closer to the floor) without creating a really hot zone at the top of the space. I think we have had a 15 to 20 degree F difference between 5 ft and 14 ft in out space. A dropped ceiling would allow the heating to be hidden above the ceiling if forced air were to be used, and allow for some insulation, I doubt the building has much in the roof. Also, I am sure you will need cooling in the summer. 2) Maybe the access holes could be in a three - two - three pattern so they are not so symmetrical in the layout or think about how they could be spaced to allow maximum reach with the minimum number of holes...perhaps what you have does this. 3) Basic insurance and security is all that is needed since the space is not a public space. I doubt the average burglar will be aware of what is in there and might be more lured to a building full of tools or whatever else might be nearby, things only have value if they can be easily sold, Lego might not fill that bill for them. Ultimately, it is your "playroom" and I am sure you will build the space and fill it in the way that best suits you and your style.
Here's a suggestion to get ride of the holes/access points: put all the tables on wheels and move them around. When modifying the table legs, put something to adjust the height, like a machined insert. Like that you make sure you can get everything leveled. Then, under the tables, put some latches so they can all attach together. It will help with leveling but also making sure there isnt any gap. One last step, if you want to lock everything in, glue a piece of the baseplate on the table. No need to glue everything, but may be one piece at each corner of the table. It will lock all the baseplates together once assemble. It should be easy to move the table around without accident that way. It might a bit tricky to make this set up work as it needs to be precise, but I think it's absolutely worth it just to get ride of the holes.
Thanks for answering those questions! Just know that “we” [at least most of us] are concerned as a “family” for your family. We want what is best for you and your family. Just being the devil’s advocate, to help you think of things that you might not have thought of/about. I am so excited and happy for you and your family 😊❤ Good luck and take care!! from Ohio
two problems that suggest themselves with having some table on wheels are that firstly you have 40 inches of perimeter, so you'd need no more than that in width for anything that you want to move to create access. Not impossible but a limitation. Secondly, while many things don't have to be clipped together, you're talking about a subway about the perimeter, which is a cool idea but the rails for that would need to clip together.
It'd be much more accessible for you, but I see that there would be some significant complications.
It's very cool that you're doing this and I'm glad you're planning it out carefully. I am a but worried about how you'll manage corners for the subway, fitting them through the bracing of the table. I do see the logic of having the table as a single solid base lane although it'd be cool to have an opening where a station could handle the subway and a surface train (and a raised train maybe) while looking down through it at all three levels. Or similar for a train yard sunk into the table. But that'd be be a structural complication and I see why it'd be very hard.
Hey Bricksie, this might not even be a thing but I haven't heard about incorporating effects into the city, specifically lighting. Since you're doing the carpentry and cabinetry from scratch, might be a good idea to leave access holes or grommets at specific intervals into each table. That way, wiring future light kits will be much easier to do and maintain as you don't need to hunt around for problematic circuits. Don't forget to connect all of them to master switches as well. Regardless if this is helpful or not, this is what I have in mind at the moment for my own city build. Looking forward to March!
It’s heartwarming to see how involved and concerned your fanbase is. The new project sounds spectacular, can’t wait to see it evolve!
Put your build station in of the rooms down stairs & that way you can close the door when it is a mess. That takes away the issue of parts being on a different floor than your main project. Also the mezzanine could have your shelves back to back creating Isles so you will be able to fit in more sets. The track shelves then go on any walls up there. As you have more then 1 room down stairs you can still have a star wars room & then you can theme the isles upstairs into cars, marvel, Disney & anything else you can think of.
Congratulations on taking this next step in your business journey! Just thinking ahead as you get into the space, have you considered setup the space with areas that are dedicated to the different types of videos you post? For example, perhaps you would setup a build station downstairs with all your parts, creating a dedicated and branded "construction area". The upstairs you already mentioned, could be branded for "Ask Bricksie" and new Lego set reviews. You could have signage to designate these areas and it would give you opportunity for different types of shots and videos. However you decide to go, I'm sure you have a lot of great ideas, and everything will turn out great! Best of luck in the new space!
I used acrylic paint and painted the clouds on my wall in my LEGO room. Looks pretty good. Worried that people break in and steal my walls though.
No kidding. Why do people think they have to nit pick your every idea and thought. This will work for you and things and details will be worked out as you move in and use the new space. Good for you. Congratulations you will love it.
Bricksie, will you go for several height levels in your new tables?
Like adding in a underground train line, a mountain or a underwater layer?
Perfect way to add a sinkhole into a mountain vallei setup.
Will you turn your theme park into a L shape?
Do look up Robin Hood Bricks (here on youtube) his underwater cabinet, would be cool if you could do something like that, under-need the (beach) water section, for one, using a low, yet long, cabinet.
If only you had car garage pits to walk under your tables, right?
That way you wouldn't have to crawl between the standing holes.
Are you going with eight or ten wide trains, this time around?
As for load bearing walls, consider adding windows, that can be opened, that way you can more easily bring modules out of said rooms, without taking them apart.
You have a WC, I bet, do you have a kantine location?
Might make a nice location for general use.
And as far as your lego-art, you might have walkways that can only have one set of cabinets in it, so perhaps the art on the other side?
Hi Jordan, hope the new layout has an underground section for gringots vault, a subway, etc
Really excited for you!!
I am so happy for you. Can't wait to see the new place. Hope everything goes well. Looking forward to your new projects and adventures.
If I had to put the tables on wheels what I would do is put them on rails like rolling archive shelves. This way you get rid of the holes in the layout and create an aisle when you want to work in the center of the city.
Upstairs would be great for a lounge/display area...like Start Wars!. And possible for your reviews and videos like this one. Use a downstairs room for overstock parts/parts and 10ft space as a MOC building area with a parts wall on that back wall/front office wall. But, again, you'll figure it out and what works best.
Recommend investing in an air compressor, even a small pancake one with a 100ft air hose...and then use air to quickly blow off dirt/dust from your display. Plus you could use it to aid in the construction of your tables with air tools without worrying about your battery-powered drill. :)
Hey Bricksie, are you going to add a sports stadium to the city or anything like that considering you have so much more space? Personally I’d add a track, but maybe a Hockey Rink seeing as you enjoy hockey so much.
You're doing awesome man! I'm choosing shelving and a worktable and working on my first 15,000 peice moc of Helms Deep and I've been looking through all your videos to find the best options for storage building the tables and how to create mocs. I always use your reviews to decide what sets to get thank you for all the amazing videos and good luck on your next step!
Warehouse question: I know you mentioned a lot of challenges with insurance companies, bylaws, rules and factors you have to recognize and abide by in order to allow access to the general public. However, if you really wanted to, could you possibly have an AFOL themed night or day event at your commercial space where local Bricklink sellers and fans of LEGO can all come together and enjoy the hobby while buying stuff they'd like from the sellers or even you and maybe tour your LEGO display? I know there's a lot of challenges involved with this but, it may be a good way to make an extra source of income, grow your channel and business and unite the local LEGO community. You could even have people book their slot for a night or day (say limit of 10 people per event), and control the amount of people that attend the event to make it easier for you. Far fetch I know.
Jordan, in short, you got this. You and Mrs. Bricksie are two smart cookies. Really happy for your next family Lego journey. Best wishes! Looking forward to the evolution of your new/old space. ♥️💯
I can't wait to see the video of new studio! I want to see first day with no legos in there yet, a Grand Tour! I'm even looking forward to seeing the whole process of moving and organizing and everything.
But I actually like the mess of half built stuff because it's like getting a look at what you are working on and what is in planning phase, so don't hide that too much!
The building is going to be epic, I can’t wait for the content
In my current setup, I have a lego build room, with part storage, my sorting area, and even some display sets on various shelves. I also have a lego city room which I neglect . (Because my hope is to build out a new city room in another location of my house this spring) However, even with these current dedicated spaces I end up doing way too much of my building in my office, and I can tell you first hand running up and down the stairs when I am missing pieces, or miscounted the part out of my MOCs, it is never fun. lol I am sure once you are settled in you will find what works bets for you, and I can not wait to see it!
You could put in a winch system to raise and lower Parts/Sets/Builds Etc. Also leaving the rooms divided should give more shelving space. Regarding security your right should not hold you back. Tables on wheels does not help when filming. Subway is going to be great.
Cannot wait for all this to happen and to follow the journey.
It’s gonna be awesome! I’m gonna love watching every step of the way. I hope that most folks that comment are excited for you and only want to help you make it the best that it can be!
I cant wait to see the videos of you planning in the space. It honestly doesnt matter to me what it looks like. I just want to see you going through the process.
A lot of these issues can't be addressed until you are actually in there rather than just getting ideas. I am just as excited for this new space as you are. Cant wait to see footage of the transformation.
I can’t wait to see the new studio! When will we be getting pictures? You also said that you would lower the tables and add a metro which will lower the space under the table for you to crawl causing you to hit your back. Keep up the great work.
Can’t wait to see the studio coming alive under all of our eyes!!! Tbh I was getting concerned when I saw your current LEGO city getting busier and busier - and now 🎉🎉 studio space and we can watch the magic happening all over again! So excited!!! Bring it on March!
Excited for you! Thanks for sharing and taking us along on the journey.
If you put up the Bricksie sign, you should add onto it so it says, Bricksie Town or something similar. Can’t wait to see the finished set up
I never move my lego but I have moved 28mm minitures and terrain for them. See if you can get a plastic bin that is close to a base plate so some closet to a multiple of 10.079 inches. Then you can use plastic bag as filler. THe less space you have them move the better they are.
Also panter tape on you drawers for short moves work.
I am so excited for you new adventure. Putting the Lego art above the clouds is a great idea. All your ideas sound awesome. Looking foreword to all the up dates looking foreword. Congratulations again.
Great video. Thanks for answering some questions and concerns.
In the end as you said, it’s your dream and you’re going to do it your way and will adjust as you go along.
Looking forward to the reveal and the future content. All the best!
Sounds like this is going to be awesome-its a dream of mine to have a blank canvas to start from in terms of making my own studio, so you, sir, are living the dream :)
In regards to putting your city tables on wheels, I'd say go for it. Will you need to use them that often? Probably not. But if it comes to the point that you do, it will be invaluable, say if you decide the place needs a massive clean or reorganisation.
Easier to do it when you build the tables, then you can factor the wheels (locking castors would be the best bet) into the height of the tables from the get go . Either way, I'm sure you're gonna kill this project and I look forward to seeing it happen :)
Depending on the size and layout you end up doing, why not start with a big 360 degree mountain with the observatory on the top right in the middle of the layout and then landscape down from there working your way out wards and also incorporate a few train tunnels going through the mountain at different heights, if your increasing the space by 3 times the amount might aswell start thinking big 😊
Super happy for you, can't wait to see the new everything you have planned. if it was me I would paint the walls and ceiling white, weather its 20 feet or 60 feet a white ceiling makes a difference
Jason, you have great ideas. Everything is always flexible. Congratulations!
For the mezzanine build area, it may be neat keeping it there. Yeah it'll be a bit to get parts downstairs but i think it'd be motivating to build and look down and see the big city in progress at a higher pov. Plus if you have to get parts from upstairs it would feel like you're going to your own Lego Masters brick pit. 🙂
Wish you all the luck!! Can't wait to see it!! Take risks and live your dreams and you'll never have to worry...you got this!
For public viewing you could sale a few tickets a day or week or whatever and give a personal tour with such little traffic you would be able to personally keep an eye on everyone that comes in, setting the price high enough so that only people that are truly lego/bricksie fans would still be willing to pay would be key though
The up stair s part sounds good to have as a kitchen chill room. Arear .😊
The way you handle people butting into your dream & thinking they know best commendable. I can see you’re frustrated & it’s understandable. Keep creating great content! You’re doing a fantastic job & it’s highly entertaining! As you said, don’t live your life scared & reach for your dreams. Can’t wait to see what the new place looks like & we’ll all learn along the way together. Congrats!!
It’s going to be fun watching you figure out the new space!! Here is an idea for you. What if you paint the edges of your new tables black. That might make the edges look tidier and disappear.
Yes!!
21:46 Thanks for addressing my question/concerns!😂
you have all those speedcars so.... if you build a rally track like a woods and place those there..... lika a need for speed game etc.
@bricksie what about make 1 table chanceable like a shelf and when a winter is done move it to bottom and make next project to clear space. I have small scale 4 baseplate shelf to do that
An easy solution for bringing builds down the stairs without carrying them would be to install a simple pulley system to lower them from the mezzanine. This could be as intricate as a dumb waiter or as simple as rope and pulley with a cage. Just a thought to save your back and reduce anxiety! 😬
too many people with opinions, suggestions and concerns. don't take anything to heart! just keep things in mind while you move and adjust however you see fit once you're in. never gunna please everyone and remember it's YOUR city!! no one else's! super excited for your journey!
I was going to joke about when you would need more space, but I see you've already been hit with that. Good luck with this new venture, looking forward to seeing you grow into the new space.
Question: How do you hang the various pieces of Lego art? Have some ideas on making something, not sure how handing would be done with Lego.
CHASE YOUR DREAMS BRICKSIE! Wishing you the best of luck in your new adventure!
You should use inches when building the tables it's more accurate as you can go to 1/32 easier than millimeters which only break down to 1/25.4. Keep up the great work bricksie I'm super excited for the future. Also would you ever considered buying older set collection to add more to the new studio?
I couldn’t imagine having so many people question my every move! Good on you for handling it so well. I have total faith in your ability to continue to grow this channel and make great content! Thanks for all you do Jordan!
Excited for the day that the studio is ready in a couple months (or likely more), I'm sure it will look amazing.
How about we just enjoy what Bricksie does. We have done it till this point. Once again thank you Jordan and congrats on the studio space. Excited for future videos
Looking forward your wearhouse and updates will be
Hi there, love the positivity! You got this! People just need to put trust in this decision, its a great one & for the growth of this channel. Anyway, for my two cents: I see someone suggested below about a dumb waiter. I was going to suggest the same sort of thing, but I don't know what your finances are or what, but what about more of an elevator/part storage? It could be a single wall elevator too. So that when you press the button, the entire wall of the parts come down "softly" obviously, to the lower level. Yes, that would obviously leave an opening when its down, but an engineer can probably design a railing that will come up when the "elevator" is down for safety reasons. It would probably cost a fortune, but just an idea. It wouldn't have to be done immediately, just maybe an idea for the future? I just wanna say again, YOU'VE GOT THIS!
I wouldn't knock the 3 rooms into 1 as you would loose 4 walls to put the shelves against . Loving the content and good luck with this project
Consider 80/20 aluminum extrusion for your table builds, might be more expensive but it’s very nice and easily customizable.
Hi Jordan, Congratulations on finally getting the perfect expanded space and looking forward to seeing it all develop. Cheers Grant from Australia
A pulley on the ceiling and some rope would be all you need to make a transport system to move Lego up and down stairs. You could make it as simple or complex as you like.
This is very exciting! I can’t wait to see how you utilize the space.
When you do get to moving and constructing the new space…have you considered mounting a camera in the corner and doing a time laps for the whole build? Obviously there’s a cost to having it there the whole time but it would make an epic video after it’s all done to see the whole process.
