Keep putting in the hard work, and I’m sure you’ll keep progressing. Wishing you the best in those tryouts - go crush it! 💪⚽🧤
Great video! Thanks for helping. If you try to save every shot, you might surprise yourself and everyone else. I regret hesitating to dive where it mattered now that I look back on it.
Got a question, during your training day when do you do your gym work (e.g. strength training) like before your pre-activation and training or after training/lunch and what days?
Well, I don't play professionally, so I go to work and after and meet in at the club around 4 pm, do gym work and then we typically train at 5 pm, and sometimes I do some gym work after that as well. I typically train in the gym 3-4 days a week
Hi, I am following this channel for a while now and I really like your videos. I wanted to ask if you could do some home workout videos because there is no gym nearby that I could use your workouts. Thank you
Hey buddy, I 100% can make some homework out video, no problem. In the meanwhile, have you watched this video? th-cam.com/video/A24YrvOnYuE/w-d-xo.html
Can you answer the questions below please? 1. What are some exercises I can do to stay fit as a goalkeeper? 2. How can I train alone since I don’t have friends? 3. Does wearing regular shoes affect my performance as a goalkeeper? 4. Does the price of goalkeeping gloves matter? Are the $20 ones bad while the $150 ones are amazing? 5. Does wearing heavy clothing, like a hoodie, affect my performance as a goalkeeper? 6. How can I maximize my reaction time and reflexes? 7. How do I properly take a goal kick? 8. How do I execute a side volley? 9. How can I make my body strong enough so that power shots don’t hurt? 10. Your videos are very helpful! Keep up the amazing content! 💪
Hey, thanks for the support and great questions! 💪 Let’s go through them one by one: 1) Exercises to stay fit: Focus on exercises that improve agility, strength, and endurance. Some great exercises include: Ladder drills for footwork. Squats and lunges for leg strength. Planks and core exercises for stability. Jumping exercises (like box jumps) for explosiveness. 2) Training alone: No worries if you don’t have friends to train with! Here are some things you can do alone: Wall drills for throwing, catching, and reflexes. Footwork drills using cones or markers. Jogging or interval runs for stamina. Self-toss and dive drills (throw the ball and dive to save it). You can also buy my ultimate self-training program :) 3) Regular shoes vs. cleats: Wearing regular shoes can affect your grip and stability, especially on grass or turf. Cleats give you better traction and control, making movements sharper and safer. 4) Price of gloves: Price doesn’t always mean better quality. While $150 gloves might offer top-notch latex and durability, $20 gloves can still do the job, especially if you’re just starting out or playing casually. Try to find a balance between affordability and quality. 5) Heavy clothing (like a hoodie): Wearing heavy clothes can restrict your movement and make you sweat more, which could affect performance. Stick to lighter, breathable clothing that allows full range of motion. 6) Maximizing reaction time and reflexes: Do reaction drills using a tennis ball off a wall. Play fast-paced games like racquetball or ping pong. Use reaction lights/apps for quick decision-making practice. I'll make a video on this later :) 7) Goal kicks: Place your plant foot slightly behind the ball. Strike the ball with your laces, aiming for the bottom half. Lean back slightly to get more height, and follow through with your leg for power. I'll also make a video on this! 8) Executing a side volley: Drop the ball to hip height. Strike it with your instep (the top of your foot). Aim for a clean, controlled strike for accuracy and power. I'll ALSO make a video on this! :) 9) Strengthening your body for power shots: Strengthen your hands and wrists with grip exercises. Focus on leg and core strength to brace for impact. Work on technique to cushion hard shots with your body, not just your hands. 10) Thanks so much! I appreciate the kind words, and I’ll keep the content coming! 💪⚽🧤

GOAT! I have my first club evaluation this upcoming Thursday. I only played for my school so far and I'm scared for the evaluation. Whay if I make a mistake? Do you git any tips?
Thanks for the kind words! 🙌 It’s totally normal to feel nervous before your first club evaluation, but don’t worry - everyone makes mistakes, and what matters most is how you handle them. Here are some tips to help you stay focused: Stay calm: Take deep breaths before the evaluation to keep your nerves in check. Remember, everyone has bad moments - just focus on the next play. Stick to the basics: In high-pressure situations, don’t try to overcomplicate things. Focus on positioning, communication, and doing the fundamentals well. Bounce back: If you make a mistake, don’t let it affect the rest of your performance. Shake it off and keep your head in the game. Confidence is key: You’ve prepared for this moment - trust your training and go in with confidence. Even if things don’t go perfectly, showing resilience and a positive attitude will impress coaches. Good luck on Thursday! You’ve got this - just go out there and show them what you can do! 💪⚽🧤
Hey buddy, that's exactly what I talk about in this video. Did you watch it? :) I also have a match tips video coming out in a couple of weeks. Make sure to watch it :)
For me there is no pitch that's near me so what I do I use my bed and the wall I stand near the bed not on the bed I throw the ball on the wall dive on the bed and try to catch it
That’s awesome! 💪 Even without a pitch, you’re finding creative ways to train - that’s the dedication that makes a difference! Using the bed to practice diving is a great way to work on your technique safely, especially when you don’t have access to a proper field. Keep being resourceful like that, and you’ll keep improving! Sometimes, it’s all about making the most of what you’ve got! Keep up the great work! 🧤⚽
I get it-sometimes friends can be distracting, especially during important moments like a game or training. Here’s what you can do to stay focused: Set boundaries: Before a game or practice, let your friends know that when you're on the field, you need to focus on the ball and your positioning. It’s okay to be clear that during play, you need space to concentrate. Tune them out: Try to focus solely on the ball and the game. Practice blocking out distractions by staying mentally locked in on your role as a goalkeeper. The more you train your mind to stay focused, the easier it’ll become. Use communication wisely: If it’s your teammates talking to you, you can quickly acknowledge them, but then immediately refocus on the ball. If it’s unnecessary chatter, just ignore it and stay in the zone. Remember, focus is a skill you can develop just like any other, so with time and practice, you’ll get better at it! You’ve got this! 💪⚽🧤
