- In this video we go over some interesting mechanics with Muerta's Aghanim's Scepter ability Parting Shot. This spell has an interesting mix of mechanics that allow for powerful offensive opportunities, as well as a unique option for saving teammates.

Storm spirit... He doesn't use the original hero's mana pool when Muerta parting shoots him. You can zip with storm completely free. Dive the enemy high ground and catch their key hero. Then return storm to his original hero and he's full mana still :)
yea but its kinda not good because storm cannot use overload where his main dps is, maybe just to pull its good
@@sunsszs his ult does damage based on distance traveled. So you can basically do the storm to trick for almost free at a lower cool down

@@maiaka_ The ghost's egg is empty, you can destroy it to avoid the stun and damage but other than that nothing happens
Finally someone explains her aghs for me. I love this hero but I had no idea. Never built it either. But it's actually so cool. One tip while playing Muerta is that don't pop satanic during your ulti unless you need the dispel since it won't lifesteal.

@@MrVaDelux use bloodstone instead, since it's magic damage you're dealing.
or just get shard and build up stacks. free spell lifesteal (you won't need any extra lifesteal during ult)

Could You explain damage reduction/effective hp in full? Lesh with 20% and Luna with 25% looks kinda good, considering how much hp they will have in a normal game

I have bought it offensively against heroes with mobility spells in every role I've played (core and support). It's really good, specially if paired with crits and spell amps.

For strong illusions, iirc grim illus has permanent BKB, maybe check that with ck ulti or venge illu.
Interesting, I always thought out was a support item when I first saw it. I thought it was 50% damage reduction when it first came out, really made me think it was for saving people, didn't think of it aggressively.

They generally use over Shaman for extra ulti and over Zeus for 2nd or 3rd Ulti as well
Well u can also team up with omni, which will dispel hero under parting shot effect and so u have a hero that can cast his spell twice (the soul still works as intended and hero on which parting shot was used also can freely move, attack and cast spells). It requires specific pick but muerta + omni + hero with some magic aoe or utility aoe ulti can be really broken - like zeus can ult twice, shadow shaman can ult twice, doom can ult twice etc. Ofcourse when this hero has refresher it is possible to cast it 3 times. There is also less likely scenario where ult can be cast 4 times if there are more refreshers in this combo in period of like 10 seconds.
Just tested it, I think it's fixed?
Was it bug when people were doing tripple ult with zeus with Muerta aghnims?

what if they dispel the stun from the 'body'? do you get 2 heros that can both cast spells?
it can be use for setup lvl 1 + 2 also with that 4 sec stun

If bane is caught in a chrono and he has scpeter you can save him and he can ult as a spirit and the illusion will continue the ult when spirits come back, it can also be used agressively by jumping in with bane ghost
He can't jump though muted items.
Extra tip, if you use it on a enemy clinkz, you can cast his E on himself, instakilling the hero xD
If the targeted hero is teleported, does the Spirit travels at 500 speed or it quickens?
I'll drop another comment here asking for a spectre dispersion mechanic explanation, and how the aghs shard affects it + blademail values. Damage mitigation is so hard to have a "feel" for sometimes

been wanting to try something neat with omni venge and muerta. i think you can purge the stun and use vs ult freely without fear of death. some cats have uploaded vids with zeus and ss making an extra ult. why cant it work with vs? maybe im not understanding whats happening well enough. thanks.

As a Muerta Sup Player, is always hard do use parting shoots defensively for even more reasons. But, if some way in future Valve adds a Cancel Button for using in allies (Like Bane NightMare or Grim 3ºSkill) it will be more effective.
Bonus not mentioned on vid : parting shoots does not Have HUD for its duration, and can be reduced by Status Resistance. Be aware if using on SpiritBreaker, Ursa Enrage or S&Y Hero.
Muerta sup??? Why??? For that shitty fear? she ain't has any global skill or good stun, picking her over enigma,shaman,wd or meta supports is like blsht and playing for fun not for win, without farm she has almost nothing to offer for teamfights

about the ursa clip: so ursa using enrage there doesn't really do anything as long as he doesn't use it before the parting shot hits, right? will the spell just barely last against high status resistance from spirit breaker and ursa?
It would seem that it completely ignored status resistance similar to Euls. Ursa was just barely bursted with an activated Muerta ult and mask of madness.
Interesting saving skill or to prolong an ally whos about to die.
Before you can parting shot clinkz and use his illu to death pack himself, thats how i deal with my stupid carry, don't know if its still working anymore
omniknight can dispell stun from hero during split so you get 2 heroes with spells for 4 seconds

@@aashutyomouth23 Correct, he doesn't dispel, but he does give debuff immunity, so the main hero can act even though it has the parting shot stun debuff. There's some goofiness with using parting shot on the Zeus, ulting with the spirit, using repel on Zeus, ulting on him (the spirit casing ult doesn't make it go on CD till the spirit returns), then using refresher to ult again for a total of 3 quick ults.

All damage, it’s a bit confused worded but it says the physical body (not the spirit)
Is that Parting Shot can save ally ,, i mean save from death , if using Parting Shot when ally almost Death when Spirit comeback to Hero 0 HP , Ally Won't be die
but you didnt asked the main question - who controll the illusion? when im at test range i can controll any hero or illision, but on actual game - when i tried it on my friend neigher me or him cannot cast spells, so i thought this ability is broken
Clinkz's best counter is muerta. U can use parting shot at clinkz and death pact himself (deny)
In ultra lategame it is a better hex when Muerta can easily kill any 3k hp hero with 30% damage reduction with her ult in under 4 seconds if caught solo
also if the spirit transforms like terrorblade metamorphosis, the hero's body won't
I mostly use it on hitter enemy since it can disarm well hihi, can't use on ally cause mostly they does not know how it works ;(
The problem with Parting Shot is that it's attached to Muerta and I think she's a really weird hero with mixed identities that don't match well together.
Wdym? She has to spend 4k to get a reliable stun, and it's a special stun that doesn't silence. Her biggest weakness other than fragility, is how easy it is to kite her ult. Goes with lore nicely too
Same happens with bane attacks on nigthmare or aghs shard effect on bloodseeker
@@nezantrathat's where the team aspect comes into play. Some abilities shine in combination with others. Parting shot is one of those.

What you're kiting when you're dead? just hold your position get blink dagger and 3 items and go do minimum double kills all the time, as pos 1 she has huge ENORMOUS damage and utility, after good muertas ult there is not much left to kite and usually it's -bb or - game like faceless void

while this is a cool Idea, having a support hero that only comes online after a 4200 gold item is not great. especially compared with heroes that have a great save just by leveling up their basic skills.

great content. i think it's a very weak aghs though, sounds alright on paper to parting shot a stunned ally but by the time you reach your ally and shoot it and him realising what the hell is going on with his hero the duration is probably ended or you've been jumped on since you're so squishy
I disagree. It was instrumental in Dreamleague playoff game 2 match between Entity and GG. If reach was a problem you could consider buying/equipping cast range items but in that particular game it was used more offensively for hook setups or for catch.
Why no comments about the opportunity to dispell the stun off of your teammates while their spirit is out (with LC, Oracle etc.) Allowing their physical body to cast spells too within that 4 seconds timeframe (e.g. double zeus ulti, double rhasta ulti, double np ulti etc etc)? That mechanic has discovered ages ago by goodw1n and other yputubers. Feels strange you are not covering it here.

Use ult on teammate techies, Blast-off, 3 proximite mines mines, and Q.
Then techies can blastoff again and put 3 new mines.

Surely one of the best uses for it would be to steal a critical enemy ability, like blackhole or RP? You get to use it and the enemy is put on cooldown anyway.

its like 4 second stun and can make comeback easy i was gyro and enemy carry muerta she buy agnim and use his ability on me i can do shit and die this happend 4 time and she end up winning bruh i thing this agnim shoud change.
use morph rubick to cast parting shot it crash the game, at least on demo for me
Please explain dazzle 1st
it applies a poison debuff. as long as the debuff is active on a target and dazzle attacks that target, it refreshes the debuff.
let's say you use poison on zeus, and the debuff is about to run out (2s left). if dazzle manages to attack him before the debuff ends, it resets back to 8 seconds (given it's a lv4 Poison Touch). basically as long as he keeps attacking you, the debuff resets to full duration.
note multiple debuffs stack - if the first poison touch still lingers until Daz has another P.T. ready, the 2nd one will be applied on top of the first one.
how to counter? once he uses PT on you, either TP away or avoid getting the debuff refreshed over and over, or hide/run (fog, trees) until the debuff runs out

@@johnbernardlicot9371 that must be because it's a physical damage spell, and dazzle's ulti makes it so he decreases the armour to the enemies around him every time he uses a spell, and then when you also add the fact that using his ulti reduces the cooldown of his other spells... well you've got lots of minus armour pretty quick. I recommend reading all of his spells one more time and testing the hero yourself in the Demo Hero mode, using different item combinations and seeing which one you enjoy the most. then go lose mmr with it xD

This only applies if there is ONLY void or LC is doing the damage during their respective ults. If there is another enemy hitting, then it would be better to use it on your teammate to reduce the damage taken and not get burst-ed. :)
If not the most, definitely one of the most unnecessary aghanim improvements.
Honestly it’s an F tier item. It’s really only good in a handful of situations like saving someone in chrono but even then it’s not THAT good. Not worth investing 4200 gold
you lost me at "make sure you communicate this interaction with your team".
my team in last three games (6500 mmr, europe west-europe east);
1st game: Bristleback that started the game 0-9, ended the game 4-22 and only had a lotus orb in a 37 minutes game, refused to say anything.
2nd game: Axe that started the game 1-12, ended 2-14, refused to talk. and his mate death prophet who ended the game 0-11. enemy bloodseeker had 6 kills at minute 4.
3rd game: Full iranian team that used dota as a means of communication like skype, discord.. I ended the game 5-1-9 with muerta as we lost 46-14. I was instanly flamed in persian when i asked for a ward in english voice chat.
This isn't my average experience at 6.5k but it's pretty close. I don't know if you guys are able to communicate anything with the team but if you can, you are lucky.
