The UK doesn't do extra credit, I've been at three different universities. Each module has a set amount of credits that each examination, coursework is broken down into. You can question your grades, all grading decisions are recorded.
I’m about to start my biomed degree in Bristol as an international student so this was really helpful to get a better idea of what Bristol is like. Thank you !
its great to hear that you had such a good time. I'm looking to study abroad at some point in the future. it's nice to hear that your experience was very student friendly and that people seemed eager to learn. i rencently graduated from university in canada and my experience was really marked with apathy. the vibes were so bad it was hard not to get sucked into it. i had a substitue instructor say that they have never had a class that was so disinterested (which was true, but kind of aucked to hear). im glad to hear that it's not really the universal student experience lol.
What university did you go to? I had the same experience as you at McGill! I actually decided to switch schools and programs before finishing my degree because I was so unmotivated and didn’t get any joy from going to school anymore.
That's legitimately such a nice compliment, thank you so much!! I absolutely hate listening to my voice while editing haha so this is very reassuring 😊
thank u so much for this videooo! i wanted to ask about university community/support. im interested in doing study abroad (im from the usa) and wanted to ask if there were any orientation/welcome events for the study abroad students to acclimate/meet friends? also, is it difficult to make friends with students that are not studying abroad?? thank you so much for your timeee 🌟
Oh that's one of my pet peeves is some one close to me when there are plenty of seats available. Especially on buses. I've had ppl sit right next to me when there is an available seat right next to it or 3-4 right across from me. I get up and move
I got an offer letter from Bristol for Master's But I'm short of overall fund but applied for scholarship at Bristol. What's the probability of getting scholarships? Even 6500£ +3000£ helps
Tale education loan ik it's going to be difficult but trust me after u graduate it's going to be worth it for u...it's just that u have to do extra hardship
I live in Bristol and apparently, they trying to get more Bristoleans in my college is known by my college campus is in the City Of Bristol College is college green so close to the main site and they have a Contextual offer for my college COBC of A Level grades bc we are know to not achieve high A level grades so they will give us a lower standard of grades compared to everyone else. Plus I live in Easton so it's not far.
This is such an awesome video! May ask though, how is the weather like? Is it really cold during the winter and hot + humid in the summer? I’m from a tropical country and I’m thinking of going to Bristol, just worried about the weather conditions haha 😅 Also, is it hard to make friends there? Thanks in advance!

Ah I'm sorry there was so much apathy! It really does affect how enjoyable a class is :/ I hope you're able to study abroad soon!

@@theshatakshigupta just on a semester exchange from my home uni where i study english literature and history
Thanks for the video, I’m an international student and going into UoB in September for foundation program in law, this was really helpful
Hello, I just started looking for a foundation program in law. Can you tell me how you got it?
really weird compliment but I love your voice like it’s just the right speed and bubbly

It's always so unexpected haha! I'm always very taken off guard when someone settles in right next to me 😂
this really helped make my decision thanks!
super helpful, thank you!
I’m really considering Bristol uni So very intrigued
I got an offer letter from Bristol for Master's
But I'm short of overall fund but applied for scholarship at Bristol. What's the probability of getting scholarships? Even 6500£ +3000£ helps
I’m in the same boat!! Looking for different scholarships options but struggling 😞😞
Tale education loan ik it's going to be difficult but trust me after u graduate it's going to be worth it for u...it's just that u have to do extra hardship
@@alinamalik945 do you think this is applicable for US Universities as well? Like University of Wisconsin Madison
Scholarships are barely a thing at all in the uk, look into the Us if you want a scholarship. They don’t really do them in the uk
how do you think people should cough? into a tissue or smth? (completely genuine question as coughing is common in the uk and im curious)
Hello~ I’m considering UOB for exchange too. What do you think of the safety there? 🥺
The biggest con is that libraries are too crowded.
i dont understand why ppl study abroad in the UK i mean we have decent universities but dont you have to pay like £30k for one year or something 💀
On average international students tend to pay around 50K pounds per year including personal daily expenses and accommodation
Still a lot cheaper than the US I guess, but the student here is in exchange so I doubt it is as expensive as being a full on international student

That’s kind of an L that they need to lower grade boundaries for your school lol

Heyy! I just watched your making friends in college video. It was really informative! Thanks so much
A lot of rain honestly. I don't live in Bristol but in terms of the UK as a whole, that's how it is
@@Fluminox- thanks for the info!
Tbh it's fairly temperate - warmer in summer and colder in winter, but definitely not humid! Bring a sturdy raincoat and you'll be fine lol
Coming from a tropical country it is absolutely horrible, almost every day is grey you barely get to see the sun even in the summer
I can tell it's a filthy city based on the dumpsters around.
Does anyone's nan want to get a V HOLE WRAIPING?
