Installing My 2017-2019 Honda CRV Front Sport Bumper!!!

- Decided to install the bumper on a whim after picking it up from the dealership last video! It wasnt an easy purchase for me at the time, but looking back I have no regrets and the build is coming along as I planned. I think I remember hearing that the installation for this bumper is around 300 dollars with the dealership, but I was planning to install it myself anyway since working on the car is best part of this hobby. Unfortunately I forgot to film the bumper after I cleaned the car so check out my Instagram if you want to see some better photos. Hope you guys like this bumper as much as I do :)

I just installed my sport bumper. I had the instructions, but your videos helped me with the install. Thanks man! I may do the rear sport bumper, but I’m not as crazy about it. We’ll see.
Glad it helped! I also want to get the rear bumper but its another $500 in Canada and I kind of want to save that towards wheels first. I really like how it squares up the rear and also that there is more paint and the plastic trims flow nicer like in the front one where the fender trim flows to the bumper. Not sure yet haha, maybe Ill get the sport bumper this year and wheels in 2022
@@AnthonyMo I agree, it finishes up the rear and flows better. I’ll probably go with a touring sport bumper (I have an EX) and get tips welded on by a shop. Just trying to figure out if you can change the the Touring chrome accent on the side to black. On my bumper it looks removable. If not, I could alway paint or wrap it. Anyhow.... your CRV is already dropped. I’d go with the wheels first. You can get away without the rear bumper. Lots of modded CRV’s go without it.
@@rgarciaukes Sounds like a good plan! Ill have to get my exhaust situation fixed up soon, theyre just clamp on and they're black so I might change them to chrome to better match the silver trim piece. They're also not exactly in the position I want them in but Ill try again to adjust them when the time comes around. The sport bumper could tie the black tips better but either way ill have to fix it up eventually
What trim level is this CRV?? I just bought a 2019 EXL CRV. It is the same color, black, but has chrome accents. The grille is chrome, and it has a very similar bumper to the one you installed, but slightly different. I wonder if there is some sort of optional exterior appearance package?? Or maybe the luxury level exterior trim is just different?? I really like how the black and chrome look, but your blacked out CRV looks really nice as well.
I think I see now. I bet yours had a chrome grille before the wrap?? And mine must have come with the sport bumper, though slightly different, due to the particular trim package??

Yup, but it was a stock 2017-2019 bumper which is different from the 2020+ so you wouldn't be able to just swap the lower part like I did in this video. You could probably get a trade for the bumper with cash on top as I know a lot of people also prefer the newer bumper
Love watching some of your projects since I also have the same Gen CR-V. The Honda front bumper looks nice but I was considering the Mugen front bumper instead. However, I think I can only get it imported so cost is a factor… 😭
Yeah I would say the cost of importing is defintely a huge factor 😅 the mugen one does look good though but it would be out of my budget for sure even if i wanted to go that direction haha

Glad you're enjoying the videos! I cant say for sure so take my opinion with a grain of salt since I'm not 100% sure. I think it should be able to since it is the same body style, just a face lift. Just make sure you don't have the exhaust tips that are rectangular in the 2020+ models or they probably wont clear the bumper

Do you guys have any suggestions for mods? Her car is fully loaded and nothing wrong with the paint. A wrap in black? Upgraded headlights and taillights? Infotainment system? I’ve got some money saved. I appreciate any suggestions except get a new car, lol. This car is free! 64,000 miles. So nice, but still a soccer mom car, unlike your CRV! Yours is lit! Add LED lights inside and out for taillights and headlights? I open to most anything. Thank you!
Thank you! Its hard to say since I don't look up that particular CRV often. Check out @crv_mods on Instagram for some inspiration. He has a 2012 CRV that looks really clean! I always find that lowering a car and getting wheels does the most to make cars look aggressive

The black clips you should be able to get from amazon or ebay, and any other clips you will probably have to go to the dealership. I havent bothered to buy them because i dont jnow the exact size of them but im sure there are ones in the varoety pack that will fit

After I learnt that I got free factory powertrain warranty extended to 6 years w/ unlimited mileage, I towed a 5x8 Uhaul trailer with my poor 17 FWD EXL across the States, NC to WA.

Thank you!!! Because summer is ending I wont have any big ticket items, but so far I have some window visors and fog light videos lined up! And then I will probably be on the hunt for wheels in the next two years along with some items along the way if Im inspired by other builds :)

08P98-TLA in the USA, ask the dealer for the 2017-2019 sport front bumper and they should be able to pull it up for you
