Mike Denton I agree 100%,we got one,a s60 T8R design about a month and a half ago,and I’ve had a few cars in my lifetime, but none that I loved until now!
23:59 The floor of the rear compartment is raised, so that they use one floor for all S60s, from FWD T5, AWD T6, and the T8. The raised floor means that the battery pack fits with only a mild intrusion of the front center console.
Superb and very comprehensive review so thank you. I have a 2017 very well equipped S60 Polestar diesel with about 250bhp. I never knew it had so much safety kit with Intellisafe and everything else on it. Might go for the T8 Hybrid as used they are available for about 35K now. Thanks again for such a brilliant review.
Wow, long and very detailed review. I prefer the Inscription model with anything but a black or white interior. The other two color options are amber and maroon brown. The Inscription has a somewhat softer ride and it's best to have the smaller tires. I just wish more people bought sedans in the USA (outside of the too ubiquitous German ones and the Accord or Camry). Most new Volvos I see in the USA are SUVs, not sedans or wagons. This is such an attractive vehicle as is the s90.
Hi Benjamin, Thank you - we try and get as much information in as we can. Sure, that means a long review, but we also have shorter reviews for those who prefer that format.
Hello Mark 👋 If you opt for the S60 petrol engine, you won't get much vibration and the driving experience will be relatively muted. The 18 inch wheels promise quiet road and wind noise including at motorway speeds. If you interested in getting the S60, our Vehicle Experts can help 👍 Fill-in this form and we'll be in touch: bit.ly/39YHCml
@@SacreDro A very nice and decent car. The engine is very powerful, and silent when cruising. The sound during fast acceleration is awesome in my opinion, because I never had a turbocharged petrol engine.
Hello there 👋 the Volvo S60 T6 is a great choice! Just make sure to request a comprehensive maintenance history report and consider getting a professional inspection. That way, you'll have a better idea of the car's condition and any potential issues. 👍
In my s60, driving at 70-75mph on a 120mile motorway journey i can manage 41-43mpg quite easily. I doubt ill ever get it much higher than that but i think thats ok.

There is only 1 reason a car manufacturer does away with buttons and replaces it with a screen. Cost! I used to manufacture machines for all those little button options and you'd be amazed that you would need a machine for nearly every single one of them. It gets expensive for automakers real quick!
Drove one, didn't like it, especially the R version. Too sporty for my taste, too bad it was the only test drive car, would prefer the normal suspension, plus all the equipment that is standard for a full equipped Camry is only 3700 thousand, while the normal S60 starts with 18% discount at only 34 thousand and all the equipment like back camera, hid display, electric seats, leather cost a ton as options.
Hello! I just find your videos very informative. Best on TH-cam. But I couldn’t find anything about the road noise and how quiet it is? I may have missed it.
Fairly quiet but not as quiet as the competition in terms of road noise. Engine noise is most apparent when accelerating but not noticed when cruising. It's a 4-cylinder engine noise and the biggest weak point of the car (not the power, the noise it makes).,
I wish every car review was as thorough as this. Great job, guys.

Wouldn’t even consider a BMW or Merc over a Volvo these days! Beautiful cars for thinking people.
Volvo has really started to make their own statement with great cars and fantastic safety 👍 we love them
Picked one up last week... never have loved a car so much... had two 3 series, and an Audi A4... this has more of a luxury ride...

God they really sorted out that awkward looking rear end with these new generations , they are absolutely gorgeous designs !
Agreed Donny 👍 the old rear end was a little sloppy
Collecting mine tomorrow, very excited
Full review with a lot of details. Professional, but almost without emotions :)
Anyway, thank you :) I’m waiting for my t5 bursting blue r-design 🔥
That's great to hear! Glad you enjoyed the review 👍
Smashing review as always!
Thanks Jim 👍
I think Volvo sits where SAAB would have if General Motors never bought them and sank them with horrible decisions
Yeah I’m a Saab owner who just bought a new S60.
Superb thorough review again. Great looking car, I'm still on a first generation S60 - it's soldiering on!
They go on forever 👍 Thanks

With the s60 being temporarily pulled. Is it worth considering an xc40? Very different cars but both tick different boxes.
Very nice cars think I'd have one over a 3 series merc or boring Audi
They are smashing vehicles 👍
Would you consider a Volvo S60?
OSV I wouldn’t consider it. I’d go right ahead and buy it! There’s nothing to contemplate about.
I wish I had the money.. I'd be lined up to try one out!
My father got one
I drive the 2nd gen facelift S60 T5 R-Design. I'm literally waiting for this car to become available :D
I'm awaiting delivery of my 2020 Volvo S60 R-Design AWD! Can't wait!
Just got one absolutely supprem
I bought this pretty much exact spec recently too. Very pleased with it.
How are the interiors for creaks and rattles ? I hate rattles and creaks in a car. My Peugeot 508 GT Puretech creaks dreadfully from the dash area 😬
