Ocicats are super-sturdy and very healthy 😊 I had an ocicat mix who lived to be 19. Got her when I was in elementary school and she was with us until three years after I graduated college. Best cat I’ve ever had ❤️
I have one but he is a darker color, we think he may be a mutt cat. He is very tolerant and very smart he sits in a empty chair at dinner and sometimes eats his dry food whenever meal time is happening.

@@idogs3046 We had a bonded pair. I would very much discourage getting a single ocicat if you aren't going to be there during the day. With two they keep each other entertained.
I have 2 of these lovely ladies (sisters) with 2 entirely different personalities. Both very loving, very talkative, excellent hunters, smart and stupid at the same time. Gentle, loving and have no problems accepting humans as family as they both want to groom us upon return to house. They can be trained to a degree. Mine both know the word 'no' 'down' and 'back' and of course 'aaa'.
You certainly have beautiful & loving cats! My adopted ocicat was found between a wall! Go figure! They are highly intelligent cats & are very independent as well.

He is now 15 yrs and still like a kitten. I also rescued an Egyptian Mau from a backyard breeder who didn't like her color pattern. She is a muttled color. Like a tourtie. All of my pets, 3 cats and 2 dogs, are rescues.

My cat Bubba looks exactly like a spotted silver ocicat. I got him at the animal shelter for$10. The little girl next door has fallen in love with him. I f anyone knows where I could get one for her I would appreciate it Thank You
My beautiful boy didn't live to nine years but it's 'cause he was born with a hard to detect, rare, and almost impossible to treat illness: FIP. He'd been rescued from a feral colony (when very young) and it's likely that there had been inbreeding in his family. 😔🐈
Australia is not the place for this cat to be breed at, they shoot cats on site there to protect native species. I hope anyone that gets a cat from her keeps it indoors at all times.

My ocicat will be 14 years old this year. She remains a very vocal, active, intelligent, and devoted member of the family.
I found my cat on the street and she is very similar to these cats! She was just a stray, but looks like a leopard!

I had a Chocolate Oci, back in the 90s and 2000s, and he was the most awesome pet, ever. His name was Oz, the Great and Powerful.

you can buy them from breeders but they cost upwards of 500 USD

Who are shooting cats on site? And in many places in Australia by law cats have to be kept in side, in an in closure or on a harness.
